This home offers direct, deeded ocean and beach access. Bedroom #1 has a King bed, Bedroom #2 has a Queen bed, Bedroom #3 has a Double Bed and Bedroom #4 has 2 Single beds. All amenities listed below are provided as well as a large screened porch with deck furniture, an open sun deck with an exceptional view of the unobstructed beach just to the South. Great cottage with beach access directly across the street, great views. Comfy furniture and great deck on the front and back, porch on the side.
Only thing that would make it better would be a grill!

Our stay was just for the weekend. The house is large and the location is great. I will stay here the next time I go to Naggs Head.

We just returned (October, 2010) from a week-long stay at the Mullin Cottage in Kitty Hawk, NC. Loved it!
Our extended family has rented homes on the Carolina shore for nearly 30 years. The Mullin cottage qualified as one of our all-time favorites. Mullin wasn't fancy or particularly modern, but it offered everything we look for at the shore: it was a comfy, clean, well-equipped 4-bedroom home in basically an oceanfront location. It was charming and a true home-away-from-home!
While not technically "oceanfront" the ocean views are fantastic from the front room, dining area, and even the kitchen and master bedroom. While the Beach Road runs directly in front of the house, we didn't notice the noise other than the sound of the waves lulling us to sleep at night. Traffic during the days, in early October, was light and we never had a problem crossing the street to beach access. The beach is actually closer to this house than to many rentals that are oceanfront. The open front porch and side screened porch both offer great spaces to kick back and enjoy the sunrise or watch the pelicans making their runs across the shore!
For those who like to prepare a meal or two, the kitchen was among the best-equipped we've found with great Calphalon cookware and Trident knives! Better quality and more plentiful pots, pans, cutlery, and dishes than we've had in beach houses renting for 5 times the price of Mullin.
The beds were comfortable-- if a bit squeaky on the Queen box-spring-and we all slept well without the normal aches and pains of strange beds. The bathrooms were sparkling clean (always a plus with us!) and both the showers had good water pressure.
Upon arrival the house was pristine clean, all the lights working, and everything in working order--which is not always the case in houses of this age!

We combined our vacation with a graduation in pa. With all the activities related to graduation we were unsure as to when we would arrive. The late check in procedure took away that worry and we were able able to check and find the location very easily.
The home was clean, spacious and well decorated. The kitchen was oufitted with everything you could need.
The open floor plan made it comfortable to just relax, which was important because the first two days were rainy. We enjoyed the eclectic selection of books, the internet connection and the functional DVD player.
Of course, the beach and the access to it was 1st class.
At the end of the week the weather was great and we did what we came for, enjoyed the beach.
We have recommended this property already.

ps: we liked the fact there were several trash pick up days
