This has a great view of the ocean but desperately needed a good cleaning. The carpet and furniture were filthy. Bought sheets to cover the recliners and never went barefoot in the house. Large stains all over the house.

I've been visiting the outer banks for years and have rented many fancier places than a Summer Place. However,this place was a perfect location for us - right on the beach and convenient to everything. We had 4 adults and 2 children so the size was great. The furniture was comfortable (though one couch needs a sheet of plywood under the cushions!), even the porch chairs. Casual, comfortable, relaxing!

We loved being right on the beach! Had an ant problem in the master bedroom. Appliances were outdated. Would have loved to have a washer and dryer. Overall we were happy with our house.

Love the location but too dirty. Kitchen cabinets had a crust and goo on them. Lots of ants that we had to spend time killing and the furniture and comforters need a deep cleaning. Also, the toilet seat was broken so I called to mention that my girlfriend (who luckily had a splint on for her almost-healed broken wrist) slipped off it. I was told a service call was placed (Sunday 7/4) but no one ever came to fix it.
