This is the only 2-bedroom apartment with a king bed. This unit can accommodate up to 6 persons. The maximum occupancy for this unit is 6 persons.

      Everyone that I spoke to or met was very friendly and helpful the customer service out weighs any wrongs. We were early getting there but were about a hour late getting checked in greg who was working was very apologetic on the cleaning crews mistake of being short handed which u can understand, also they forgot to put toliet paper (thank goodness we brought some and didn't wait til we got there to purchase.Beds are very comfortable,one of the chairs on the porch was broke and couldn't be sat in, coffee pot top was broke but other than those little things everything else was great, nice kitchen and the screen porch was my families favorite. It was also very convientent to the beach which was very nice and the fact that there was a pool was awesome, the person who cleans and takes care of the pool did a wonderful job. This was our families first ever vacation it was very memorable!

      My family stayed in Saltaire Cottage 10a and 10B! Very clean and comfortable! Somewhat of a hassle with the differents keys to different doors but we survive after the first lock out we had! I love the convenience of the pool and the ocean!

      Location was excellent being right across from the ocean. Pool was large and plenty of room to lounge and swim. Very close to restaurants and stores. Decor not modern but acceptable for family use.

      We arrived early and the host was very accomodating allowing us to use the pool and showing us where our beach access was. He did get the cleaning ladies to do our cottage before the appointed check-in time and we then were able to rest some. The cottage was very nice with 3 tv's and 4 sleeping spaces as well as a couch. The kitchen was well equipped to my pleasure as we ate breakfast and lunch in most days. The location in Kitty Hawk on the beach road was wonderful and we hope to come again next year.

      We had a great time! The staff at Seaside were very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic! The apartment was "OK". We liked the separate rooms and kitchen. The aC kicks! My only complaints would be that the first night we noticed that there was a lot of sand in our bed and we hadn't even slept/ or sat on the sheets. It kind of grossed us out a little. We had the impression that someone else had been in the bed! Also, it was very difficult finding someone who worked at the saltaire. The manager was not present when we checked in. She also did not have the correct keys for us to get into our rooms. When we finally located her she told us that "she didn't know what to tell us. Maybe we should go back to the Seaside office and ask for a set of keys". After spending 8+ hours in the car/ traffic this was the last thing we wanted to hear!!! We had a great stay after the situation was resolved and these complaints were outweighed by the good time that we had at your facility. Thanks for the help the Seaside office offered us. You all are great at contacting us immediately after we called for the Key situation! Everyone pleasant that we delt with. Including the pool guys!!

      Salt aire Cottages are a very affordable to visit the Outer Banks when you have a small party. There were 3 of us and the accomodations were comfortable for us. We did have an issue with the lock on one of our doors that we reported on Monday and they didn't fix it until Friday which caused some frustation but overall, it was worth the price, very clean, close to the beach, had a nice pool, nice porch that had cool breezes and had a coin laundry. Centrally located on the Outer Banks which turned out to be a huge plus for us. You didn't have to fight as much traffic on check in and check out days as people north or south of you did!

      Good Location

      I really liked the location of the place and the price for the off season rate, but was very disappointed in a few things, we were told there would be a dishwasher, and was even told to make sure when we left to have the dishwasher atleast running with the dishes in when we checked out. The washing machine was not in a convienent location either. We were also very disappointed that the pool was not open, we chose that place because of the pool. because we have a 18 month old daughter that we can not take in the ocean but wanted to have her in the pool :( overall we had a great trip and great stay, loved the screened in porch!

      Not my Kind of place

      First off I get instructions in the mail to go to the wrong place to check in...Then we get to the saltaire and room is not ready...Never been to a place that rooms were not ready by the check in time range...No clean towel service...you have to wash your towels and to use their outdated washer and dryer is expensive and sometimes the dryer doesnt do the job the first time...I like a vacaton to be just that a vacation!!! Not work! I won't be back and I am sure this review won't stay on the website because the one about the loose faucet didn't and it still wasn't fixed when we were there...Run away!!!

      We are very sorry for your disappointment. We are sorry there was a miscommunication about the check-in office, but luckily, Saltaire is only a two minute drive from the office. As for the unit not being ready, cleaning all of the homes is a very short time is the trickiest part of checking people in, but we are very specific that the check-in time is from 3 - 6 PM (which is standard on the Outer Banks), so all homes will not be ready by 3. With regards to the towels, we offer all of our guests complimentary linens and towels (this is not standard for vacation rentals), but you are right that it is up to the guest to launder them if they need to be cleaned throughout your stay.

      Our goal is to provide and excellent vacation experience, and we are sorry that we fell short of this goal with your stay. We hope you will give us another opportunity to meet this goal.

      Our stay was very comfortable

      The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with almost everything we needed. Living area furniture was not comfortable but adequate.

      Pool was very nice and clean.

      Ps faucet in sink of bathroom off 10a is very loose and a disaster ready to happen.

      Old-time "beach shabby"

      We enjoyed our stay at Saltaire. It shows a little better in the Internet pictures than the reality. The leasing agent described it accurately: nothing fancy, but clean. It's a little rundown in spots, but nothing that a little TLC wouldn't take care of.

      Low key family getaway

      We were looking for an affordable location near the beach for a long weekend. This unit is a 2 bedroom unit on the 2nd floor with an obstructed ocean view. The complex is directly across the beach road from a beach access. It is very reasonably priced and clean. The furnishings are very basic and durable and are what you would expect for the price. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 with one king and 2 double beds.

      Two issues you may want to consider when choosing this unit.

      1. The second bedroom is accessed through the first bedroom.

      2. While the unit accomodates up to 6 in beds, there is seating for 4 in the living room (3 on 1 couch, 1 chair). There is additional seating at the kitchen table.

      These issues did not effect my family.

      Overall, this unit met my expectations for a rental at this price.

      We recommend this property and plan to return here next summer. The pool is great, well maintained. Though our rooms were not ready for a number of hours when we arrived, they were spic'n'span when we moved into them. Minor faults: no TP, napkins or papertowels. That was supposed to be included. The agency was willing to work with us on a 5-night stay (vs 7day minimum). Convenient Winks convenience store right around the corner for everything you forget. ;)

      We all loved the screened in porch with the view of the beach and the pool area.
