Coming from west the guesthouse is located about 15 km in front of Dresden. Fast and easy accessible just 2 km away from the motorway A4 exit Wilsdruff it is situated at the edge of the core town of Klipphausen and the border to Sachsdorf next to the former sport and horse riding ground.
A wide range of shops for your daily needs as well many restaurants you can find at the little town Wilsdruff 2 km from the guesthouse. A large supermarket complex at the towns entrance offers Netto including bakery, Aldi, fruit and beverage markets and other shops. For the closest restaurant we recommend the pub "Zur Ausspanne" 1,5 km in direction to Meißen located. The best way to discover the quaint situated pub "Neudeckmühle" is a wonderful 30 minutes walk through the romantic valley Saubachtal.
When using the motorway A4 passing the motorway junction Dreieck Dresden and the connection to the A17 to Praque there are about 17 km to the city centre of Dresden with all popular and famous places of interest like Semperoper, Frauenkirche, Grünes Gewölbe and Zwinger. You need about 20 minutes. Alike it is to the airport Dresden and to the castle Schloß Moritzburg. Dresden you can enjoy best from a steamer tour of the oldest steamer fleet in the world. From the ship you can see the three famous castles Schloß Albrechtsberg, Lingnerschloß and Schloß Eckberg. You go below the well-known bridge Blaues Wunder to the castle Schloß Pillnitz.
Ideal for a day trip is the city Praque, just 2 car hours away. On the way you pass the well-known Elbsandsteingebirge whose starts shortly after Dresden with the mountain hotel Bastei, the fortresses Festung Königstein, Burg Stolpen and the open-air-theater Felsenbühne Rathen.
The charming landscape of the town Klipphausen amid the valleys left side the river Elbe goes straight to the banks. From the guesthouse you can reach the Elberadweg following a lovely footpath along several historical mills and restaurants undisturbed within one hour by foot. On the other side of the river you can see the grape yards of Radebeul and the castle Schloß Wackerbarth.
The Albrechtsburg and the Porzellan Manufacture Meissen, also located at the same river side, are just 15 minutes away and in the opposite direction to the south you will find the Tharandt Forest as extension of the Ore-Mountains in 15 km.
