The property is a very short (10 min, flat easy walk) to the amazing Disney Aulani resort and beautiful Ko Olina lagoons that offer protected swimming, snorkeling and boating. The natural lagoon that the property is named after 'Lanikuhonua' is a short walk (or even shorter Gem electric car or bike ride away)! Swim every day with the local Honu (turtles) that reside there. Bask in the warm sun and water that Hawaiian Royalty has called home for generations.
The unit is part of the gated Ko Olina Kai complex that has a spectacular resort pool and hot tub area with padded lounges, cabanas and additional grills. Ko Olina Kai is nestled within the Ko Olina Golf course and is just across the street from the lovely Ko Olina Lagoons & a 5 minute walk to Ko Olina Station that houses restaurants, an ABC Island Country Market (small grocery store) and even an ice cream shoppe!

The lovely villa we rented in Ko Olina Kai was very easy to find and we arrived to a very nice bag with welcome goodies. There are too may things to rave about. From the easy to brew, delicious, individual coffee pods to the super equipped kitchen, every need was met. The beds were wonderful. The owners even supply soap and shampoo. Every item you could think of for beach play or any activity was there for your use. Bike riding, scooters, tubes, snorkelling gear. And of course the golf cart. We absolutely loved driving from beach to beach or out for dinner in the golf cart. The best thing about it was the convenience. When other people were lined up looking for parking spots we could just drive up and park on the grass! If you are a family with children this is a wonderful and affordable place to call home while you are in Hawaii. There is a lovely pool just down the street with a hot tub. There are bbqs there if you choose to cook at he pool ( also a nice big one at the house). We loved it and would definitely be more than happy to stay again.

My husband and I had the privilige of visiting Ko Olina for a month. Our two daughters (young adults) were able to join us for two weeks during our stay. We had a wonderful time. Days were spent regularly using the sports facilities, golfing, beaching and pooling, exploring the island, and just plain relaxing.
This lovely villa is well appointed with modern furnishings and appliances, and is equipped with many conveniences and supplies. Betsy and Jason have given alot of thought into making the home comfortable for visitors. We all enjoyed the gem, the beach chairs, umbrells, bikes, and snorkelling gear in the garage. The lanai, with the great barbeque, was a nice place to enjoy morning coffee. We all felt that this was "home away from home".

My husband and I brought his mother and my parents with us to Oahu. We typically vacation in a timeshare unit, so we thought we knew what to expect when we arrived at the villa. Wow---we were pleasantly surprised by all of the extras provided for us. We were greeted with a very nice hawaiian tote bag on the counter, which was full of goodies. The refrigerator was stocked with condiments that are not usually provided (i.e. ketchup, mustard, relish, salad dressing, mayo, etc.) and there were many food snacks also provided in the cabinet, too! Anything we could have needed beyond groceries were provided. The dishwasher detergent, paper towels, ziploc baggies, etc. The cookware was top of the line. Laundry detergent and Shout stain remover were also provided. The bathrooms were fully stocked with nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a first aid kit, q-tips, etc. We found the beds to be the best we have slept on because of the Tempurpedic-like mattresses and very nice bedroom furniture. The TVs had great reception with cable TV on every set. The patio furniture was top of the line, as was the gas grill. The garage was stocked with bicycles, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs and floats, cooler, beach mat, beach cart, and so many more items. The electric gem car was so much fun, too. We quickly learned that when you go down to the lagoons to enjoy the ocean, the parking is in high demand with several vehicles waiting to get a spot. 4 of us climbed into the Gem car and drove down there---we boogied right past the people waiting in cars to park---we parked in the golf cart spot that was always empty! The unit was immaculate and very quiet. We highly recommend this villa and plan to rent it again in the near future. We called Betsy a couple of times when we had questions and she called us back immediately and was so kind and helpful. Betsy and Jason could teach others how to run a "customer-focused" quality-oriented business---they are amazing!

We enjoyed every minute of the trip to Ko Olina. We visited all of the lagoons, explored the area and took many side trips to different parts of the island. Couldn't have stayed in a better villa or a better area. The villa included so many amenities. We loved the kitchen (fully stocked with bowls, pots & pans and coffee) and the bedrooms were so comfortable. We also spent a lot of time reading on the relaxing lanai. Thank you for a great experience. We'd love to visit again!

This was one of the best experiences we have had in a rental property. The owners supplied far more than expected--including a week's worth of coffee for 4 coffee drinkers! It was a short walk (or ride) to the pool and a short but convenient drive to the beach in the golf cart--a trip that delighted my grandchildren. My grandchildren also enjoyed the fact that there were neighborhood children with whom they could play and hunt frogs, among other things. It was a great week for all of us!

We just got back from our amazing vacation at LaniHonua KoOlina. Our family of 5 (kids ages 9, 7 & 5) loved the comfortable and luxurious accommodations. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance and gadget. We stocked up on the groceries we needed for 10 days and it was great not to have to waste so much money eating out for every meal.
Our days were filled with relaxation and fun. Our biggest decision every morning was whether to feed the fish or visit the turtles that day. The villa is stocked with everything you need including scuba gear, boogie boards, sand toys, and beach chairs and towels. Really, all we had to bring with us were swim suits and a couple of outfits. The gem car is so convenient and fun to ride in! It was great riding to the lagoons and shops in the open air 'car', and we got many jealous stares from guests of nearby hotels.
KoOlina is a beautiful and amazing resort on Oahu that is quiet and peaceful. It's a 20 minute drive to the fast-paced Waikiki, but it's a world away in terms of relaxation. Restaurants & shops are a 5 min. walk away. This vacation was everything we wanted and more. Our stay at LaniHonua, with the comfort, space, supplies, gem car, washer/dryer, scuba gear and all of the amenities made it wonderful. It was so different from other vacations we've taken where all 5 of us are crammed into one or two hotel rooms on top of each other spending hundreds of dollars a day at restaurants on food the kids don't even eat and having to bring, rent or buy everything for our activities.
Normally after a week of vacation I'm ready to come home to wash our dirty clothes, get some space from each other, and get back to the comforts of home; but on this trip after 10 days I wished we could have stayed longer. LaniHonua has all the comforts of home and then some.

Isn't the GEM golf car so fun?! People often stop guests and ask 'where did you get this cool cart?' since it looks (and drives) so much better than a regular old fashioned golf cart. So glad you got a chance to visit the turtles (our favorite) and use all the toys and gadgets including the snorkel (not scuba ;-) gear! The photos look great, but this villa was even better in person. We loved our stay here and had an amazing time.
The unit is super clean, well decorated, and well appointed. I've never stayed in a vacation rental that was so well equipped! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The appliances, pots pans, and knives were top quality. When I say that you can pack your clothes and hit the road, I mean it! This place has everything you could possibly want or need.
If you have children then look no further. My 3 year old was over the moon with the books, toys, and games that the unit provided. There is a crib, toddler aero bed, jogging stroller, booster seat, sippy cups and on and on! It was so nice not to have to pack all that extra stuff.
The garage is stocked!!! Coolers, beach chairs, pool noodles, snorkeling gear, balls, sand toys, beach mat, bikes, bike trailer for the little ones...and the best thing of all was the electric golf cart. It made getting to the beach, the nearby market, and restaurants a breeze. There was always parking for the golf cart at the lagoons.
My husband was very happy with the electronics in the unit and the amazing grill on the lanai. I loved sitting on the comfy couch where I could watch my toddler safely run around the green belt.
If you are visiting Ko Olina then I highly recommend this villa. I just hope it's available the next time we visit!

This villa is exactly what it says it is: luxury! First of all, this property is gorgeous. The interior looks as though it has been professionally decorated and all of the beds are so comfortable with luxurious sheets, pillows, and duvets. The patio opens to a small quiet yard and the patio furniture is gorgeous as well.
The kitchen is large and fully equipped to handle any meal you may want to prepare. There is also a grill on the patio, which we utilized many times. Honestly, the kitchen was so wonderful that we found ourselves buying groceries and fixing a quick meal at home in the evenings rather than going out to eat after a long day at the beach or hiking.
Another wonderful thing about this villa is that it's not just the kitchen that is well equipped - the entire villa is equipped such that when planning your trip to Hawaii all you need to do is pack yourself and your clothes and you'll be set. There are toiletries, towels, boogie boards, sand toys, water toys, bicycles, scooters, and washer/dryer. The golf cart is also an amazing amenity, as it allows you to drive around Ko'Olina and park at the 4 lagoons nearby with priority parking! There are also plenty of games and toys for children to play with inside the villa and the TV (there is one in each bedroom as well as one in the family room) has cable and netflix for those nights in.
My family and I (husband + 4 children ages 8, 6, 4, & 1) originally booked lodging for our 2 week stay in Makaha (further north) and when we arrived on O'ahu and at our original booking site we were shocked to find that it was not as advertised. We were upset and sure that our vacation was ruined. By the grace of God I found this property, and Betsy was amazing to help us get everything situated to get in the next day. Betsy saved our vacation, and this villa absolutely made our vacation. When I got that first phone call from you and you sounded so down about the 'icky' place you had originally booked before finding us, I was thrilled that the villa was available and that our property manager could get it ready for you overnight.
You were such a pleasure to work with and we couldn't be happier that your family got a chance to utilize all of the fun 'toys' the villa has (I consider the golf cart, grill and giant TVs as 'toys' for the grownups!)
After our experience of renting various places in Hawaii for almost 20 years before we bought the unit, we knew we found something special when we found LaniHonua and Ko Olina. We wanted to make sure it gave people a chance to really relax and recharge and not worry about having to lug or buy everything they needed. We wanted people to feel like they were visiting a good friend's beach house where they felt welcomed and from your review I think it worked!

We just loved our stay at this Ko Olina luxury villa. The location was perfect for our teenagers - they could walk, ride bikes, and drive the golf cart all around the property. We loved the short walk to the beach with the very cool turtles every day. And the beautiful pool is just a few steps away. We loved having Bbq's at the pool every night. The condo was so comfortable we felt like we were home! Great kitchen with all of the necessary appliances and cooking utensils. We have had lots of vacations in Hawaii and this was one of the best deals we ever had. I can't wait to return!
