Sherwood, ORPerfect Vacation Spot!
Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Wow! The Beach Villas are a great place to vacation and this unit was amazing. We loved that it was on the back side of the building rather than overlooking the pool. We had an unobstructed view out to the ocean from the lanai. I can't think of anything that would make this unit any more desirable. The layout was wonderful for us. My kids and I traveled with my parents. My parents were able to have the master bedroom on one side of the condo while my kids and I had the two bedrooms on the opposite end. The condo had everything we needed in the kitchen and it was great having the beach chairs and the boogie boards too.
Our interaction with the owner, Damian was great. He was very helpful and very easy to deal with. His property manager, Eric was very thorough in his explanation of the unit and let us know he would be there in case we needed anything during our stay.
My sister and her family stayed next door at The Marriott. That is a gorgeous location and we enjoyed a great meal and live music one night at Longboards, their restaurant that is located beach front. If you are looking for crowds, The Marriott is where you want to be. My kids actually spent an afternoon at The Marriott with their cousins in the swimming pool and they said they didn't want to go back because it was so crowded. The beach at their lagoon was the same way. Granted, it was spring break so maybe it isn't normally like that, but it made us very grateful to be staying at the Beach Villas with the uncrowded pools and beach.
Other great things on our vacation . . . . Malasada's at Leonards, The Polynesian Cultural Center (this was actually the favorite activity for my entire family), Pearl Harbor, The Pacific aviation Museum and The Missouri. My kids loved the swap meet at the stadium. A great place to get affordable souvenirs!
One final note on how great this vacation was - no one was ready to go home - that is the true indicator of a great vacation!

Left on 12/29/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed in September 2012, I am always concerned when it is a new place as am very fussy, the unit was fantastic I could not fault anything, it had everything you could think of and more, I loved that it had the outdoor setting on the Lanai as we ate outside most times,
We were greated by Gabrielle who showed us how everything in the unit worked and advised us on places to eat anything we needed she was there to help.
You do need a car however we knew that prior to our stay, it's only 10 minutes to Costco and Safeway and Pearlridge and the outlets are close by.
The kids loved wet and wild which was only a short drive down the road. We were able to walk to paradise cove luau, an abc store and an ice cream shop are within walking distance. We had brunch at the Marriott and dinner at the Disney resort both are a short stroll along the beach path.
We only stayed a week and wished we could have stayed longer, the whole experience was wonderful the unit great and Damian was extremely helpful, we enjoyed it so much we will be booking again in 2013. -

Wonderful unit and location!
Our family of six wanted to stay in Oahu, but not in busy Wakiki. We found Ko Olina Villas to be a perfect fit.
We arrived about 8:30pm and were greeted by Eric, who was very professional and helpful in showing and explaining the details of the unit. He also gave us several pages of suggested shopping, eating and sigh seeing locations.
The unit itself is a very nice three bedroom unit with a dining table that seats eight. Really there is everything you need and more than you expect.
The location is on the West side and very close to Costco, Down to Earth grocery, really convenient!
Daily swimming in the pool and lagoon was terrific, we saw lots of fish and turtles. If you are facing the ocean, the turtles seemed to hang out were the ocean enters the lagoon. We also saw a mongoose, a first for us.
You will receive rfid keys that let you into the building and through the pool gates and back into the property from the beach, so you feel secure.
There is a covered parking space located for your car, which is close to the unit and keeps your car out of the sun.
There were beach chairs, floaty things, a few sets of mask and snorkel, beach mats etc. Even car wash, which we didn't use but if we were there longer, would have, the salt air tends to put a coat on the car windows.
My wife an I and four children, 18. 17, 12 and 11 enjoyed the three bath rooms, private master plenty.
The balcony faces an open field, and you can see the water, not a water front location, but no rooms across looking into your room either.
I will stop there, really had a great time and would rent the same unit again without any hesitation.Response from Damian Ameen - 04/08/2012

Thank you for being our guests. We are very happy that you had a great time. The lagoons make for wonderful snorkling. Every year the sealife in the lagoon grows.
I forgot about the Down to Earth grocery. I need to mention it in the information we send out to our guests. Costco is great but if you want small batches of spices and foods they have great selection of organic/fresh foods. When we bought the condo we decided that we wanted a quiet location, especially since we like to eat out on the lanai for most of our meals. It seems it was a wise choice as the Beach Villas becomes more and more popular since we do not have to deal with the noise around the pool area. When you get tired of your long winter we hope to see you again.
All the Best,

San FranciscoFeb 2012 vacation with 2 other families and 3 toddlers
Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We had the best time at this beautiful villa!!! We went with 2 other families which was perfect for this 3 bedroom, 3 full bath condo. Excellent location. Close to the Disney Resort and the JW marriott. The best part about this vacation was how accessible the beach was from this condo. If you wanted to enjoy the pools (both pools were absolutely gorgeous) you could. If you wanted the beach, it was right there. The beach is very nice and secluded and private and not crowded. You have access to other lagoons near the disney resort and the jw marriott as well.
Damian was great from the very beginning to the very end. Damian was very professional and friendly. He was very responsive and reliable. The condo is modern, clean, very well furnished and roomy. It was so comfortable that we felt like we were home. The only downside in beginning was that we had issues with the dryer (laundry). So we called Eric the manager and he quickly sent someone over to get it fixed. Talk about great service!!
All the families loved the villa and would definitely stay there again. The vacation was way too short. Would have loved to stay another week. Thanks so much Damian for allowing us to get a taste of your paradise. =) -

It's always hard to decide on a rental, sight unseen. After searching for sometime for a place to take our parents for their 50th wedding anniversary, we selected this one at Ko 'Olina. The photos in the ad, do not do the property justice. We were happily surprised at the deluxe accommodations, and the on site manager was very helpful and informative when showing the unit. Our stay was wonderful and our parents had a once in a lifetime experience. Owner is very responsive to our questions. To be very honest. The only issue I had was with one shower that leaked on the floor and had a very tight shower space. However, being the host, only my wife and I used this washroom. The other couples using the other washrooms did not have any issues.

This condo had everything & more for my extended family. We were celebrating our parents 50th anniversary and needed a place that would make my parents happy, my kids happy & us middle aged adults happy. This place achieved it all. The thing that attracted me to Damien's condo was the large table. We like to eat as a family and that was a priority to us. This unit also has the large table on the lanai so we could eat at either table & visit & have lots of time to laugh. There was enough place settings & silverware for all of us. We had friends that rented a condo one floor up so we could have appetizers at their place, go down the stairs to our place & enjoy a dinner where we could all sit & enjoy the evening. The kitchen is fully stocked so we never has a problem cooking a meal.
The other big plus is the closet full of toys. We never had to rent a thing. We had boogie boards to play with in the waves, snorkles & masks to take to the lagoon & a biggie was the 2 beach bags to fill up with the toys & towels. I had brought one bag but having 3 for our group was a lifesaver.
My parents were a bit nervous about renting from a private owner. Damien supplied us with emails & facts reassuring us that he was ligit . He even called me to let me know he was real & a good guy.
It was a week of fun memories & lots of family time my kids will treasure for the rest of their life. It was a perfect location for all ages & I would recommend it to anyone going to Oahu. Thank you Damien for sharing your paradise with us! -

It's difficult to know what you're getting when you only have internet pictures to rely on. My daughter did the foot work on where she wanted to have her Destination Wedding. We had a group of 21 people ranging from our grandson who just turned 1 year old to Grandma who just turned 80 years old. We rented two mini vans at the Honolulu airport and drove approximately 40 minutes to Ko Olina. Our check-in was easy and our Villas were more than we ever expected. Top of the line appliances, rice cookers, wine cooler, etc. The view from our rooms were of one of the pools and the ocean. There was another pool by the workout room. The grounds were meticulous. There were Koi Ponds and the most beautiful Island flowers all over the grounds. We were located not to far from the North Shore, The Dole Plantation and Waikiki. We also made a couple of trips to the Swap Meet at aloha Stadium. This is the place to get all those souvenirs. Hilo Hatties is also a unique gift shop. We had a really good time at the Paradise Cove Luau which was right down the road from our Villa's. We had our Reception dinner at Roy's which was just down the road from the Villa's also. The food and service were awesome. We did alot of shopping a the Safe Way grocery. Down by the pool they had Wolfe grills. We did do alot of grilling so we could relax and enjoy the facilities. The staff was so willing to help us with making reservations, giving directions and sharing their knowledge and Love of their land. The Wedding was Beautiful and the pictures look like a back drop was used! Everyone had a Wonderful time and I hope my son plans to get married there also!!! No Passports needed.

Roseburg, ORAwesome Rental!
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in August 2011
My family and I just got back from staying at this condo. It was awesome - really! I don't think there is any place better on Oahu (the condo and location). The condo was super clean and absolutely beautiful. This was the nicest place I have every stayed, and I have stayed at a lot of places. One of my biggest pet-peeves is hearing neighbors. We had a large # of people (with kids) directly above us. We never heard them in our place. Ko Olina is a beautiful place, very secure, and lots to do (restaurants, swimming, golf, etc.). I checked out a lot of places prior to renting this condo and nothing came close for the price, quality and location. This part of the Island gets a lot less rain than the other parts. It is in the perfect location to all the attractions and the airport. Damian and the cleaning service were very professional and great to deal with. We will be back.

New JerseyPerfect for Families with Young Children
Left on 07/23/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We just returned from a fantastic week in Damian's 2nd floor unit at the Ko Olina Beach Villas. Since we all know from other reviews that the resort and the villas are wonderful, I'm going to focus on what was unique to Damian's unit. We had two families with young children staying at Damian's place (kids ages 1, 4, & 7).
First of all, I was nervous about renting a place over the internet. I was instantly put at ease by Damian's prompt and thorough responses to my inquiries and his great reviews. He has the relaxed confidence of someone with experience renting out places. Some owners seem nervous (I'd worry about the security deposit!).
Second, Damian has a local, Eric Binger, taking care of the unit. Eric greeted us when we arrived, checked us in, and gave us a brief tour. We were to contact him if we had any issues. We really appreciated that Damian went that extra mile to make us feel at ease.
Third, while all the units have great kitchens, not all of them have a large (indoor) dining table around which to enjoy meals. We cooked in a lot (better than dining out with young kids) and loved that table (seats 8!). We got groceries at Costco/Safeway (10 min. away) and Damian's kitchen was stocked with almost everything we needed (even a rice cooker!). There were lots of spices in the drawer and staples in the fridge. My in-laws' kitchen was not as well stocked.
Fourth, Damian's hall closet was filled with beach chairs, sand toys, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, life vests, and more. We raided this closet daily. The other unit had nothing.
Lastly, Damian's unit is quiet. While it may not have spectacular views of the ocean, it has no noise from the pool area or the Disney construction on the other side of the resort.
Everything was really perfect for our families. There's a pack 'n play that the baby slept in. Wireless worked great - printer, too! Got our deposit back within a week of our return. Highly recommended! -

Oceanside, CABest Vacation Yet!!!
Left on 02/04/2010 for a stay in November 2009
After almost 40 yrs of marriage and having traveled a lot during that time this was our best vacation yet. The condo was unbelievably tasteful in decor and amenities with the accommodations perfect for our group. Our two married children with families joined us, making it convenient for all and private when needed. The grounds were so beautiful and manicured to perfection, we enjoyed the walk to the pool and beach as much as the actual swimming. It was hard to leave at the end of our stay. But we have some beautiful pictures to reflect on and share with envious friends, ha! We are looking forward to another return trip as soon as possible.

Our group consisted of two one-baby families...and we couldn't be happier with our accommodations. There was tons of room, big baby-friendly deck and kitchen, on the "quiet" side of the complex. The grounds were impeccable. And the kiddies just LOVED the sand-bottom pool, and the coi fish pond. Lots of space...no fighting over deck chairs or beach umbrellas. Just an unbelievably beautiful spot. Thanks again Damian...we'll be back!

We spent one week at the Ko Olina Beach Villas in unit 223 Ocean Tower. Our group traveled with 5 adults and four kids under 4 years old. We chose this property because of the special rate available for a 3brm/3ba listed on homeaway.com. This location is perfect for families with little ones, the beach is an easy walk from the condo even for the toddlers in our group. It was wonderful to be able to go to the beach without needing to pack up and drive. The owner, Damian Ameen was very responsive and helpful. The beautiful lagoon is easy to snorkel with a wide variety of fish and several turtles present. We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in the condo. The resort also provided a free hula class and lei making lesson to the kids during the week. The location of this property is ideal for a relaxing beach vacation in Hawaii.
