What a fantastic villa and owner!!!

Left on 05/13/2013 for a stay in July 2012

This is so overdue. My family of 7 (3 children and grandparents included) stayed in this villa over July 4th last year (2012) for 8 nights. Wow!!! We had high expectations and all were met... upon check in we were greeted with a fabulous front desk employee and given our room key and map along with local interests included turtle feeding at a nearby lagoon. The villa was perfect amount of space with everyone feeling like they had their own part of the house without intruding on one another. First class appliances and the lanai opens the length of the kitchen and living room leaving you feeling like you have an extra room- we spent most of our time on the lanai! Villa is stocked with plenty of beach toys including rafts, boogie boards, snorkel equipment and floats (we left a bunch also:). Sandeep is an amazing owner to deal with. Quick to respond to questions (which I had a lot of) with island insight. Only downsides were few but feel I should list them:Toilets plugged often when we first got there-after 2 calls and visits from maintenance they were fixed. Jacuzzi's were broken entire stay-not a big deal for us as we don't use them but know this bothered other guests.Overall, the crystal clear water and white sand beaches were the highlight of our trip. We snorkeled for hours in our private lagoon 2 but the other 3 lagoons were available for use. Everything was landscaped with perfection. We saw countless beachfront weddings and now we know why...absolutely picture perfect! My 4 year old played in the sand and water without fear of waves and incident-this is huge for families with small children, yet my teenagers were happy snorkeling and paddle boarding. The sand pool in the resort t was awesome for baby girl to play with a beach feel. Also to mention...Costco/Target are within a few miles and easy to get to but feel like 100 miles away once you arrive at Ko Olina as it seems to feel like an island of it's own. Thank you Sandeep for an amazing vacation!

      Wonderful condo to rent

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in February 2012

We had such a wonderful time while we were in Oahu.

      Pros:
Layout of the condo: the living room/kitchen/dining area felt larger than the picture. The master bedroom comes with a large bath tub and a separate shower in a large bathroom. Separate toilet room and large closet. Very luxurious.

The window to the lanai opens up wide and feels very large open space. Wonderful.

You can see the lagoon #2 sideway from the lanai. Great view and you'll hear church's bell for wedding several time a day, but they are not noisy.

The lagoon #2 next to this condo is more quiet than other lagoons and my brother saw turtle swimming there twice. Water was very clear. Huge waves were blocked before water comes into the lagoon, so it's pretty safe for a small children.

At lagoon #1, we could feed fish in the morning around 7:30, so we took a walk there a few times and fed fish. Lagoon #1 has chair rentals, so if you like to have chairs on beach, you can go to lagoon #1 (on Ihilani and Disney's resort), and lagoon #3 (on Marriot). Whole Ko Olina resort area has very nice walking path. It's curvy with lots of palm trees on green glass. Very pretty.

The condo has floating devices and small beach chairs, as well as beach toys for small children. Those were very helpful when we enjoyed the lagoon.

The building is very safe. There are keys to enter the building/elevator/room, but also the key to the room seems to work only to a specific floor. So, there are not people wondering around. We had no issue of noise from inside of the condo.

There is Target nearby and a organic grocery in the same area as Target. There is aBC mart within a block or so from the condo. They have deli section as well as limited selection of grocery items beside large selection of Hawaiian souvenirs.

You can borrow beach towels from front desk for free. Very convenient.

      Nearby restaurant, Roy, is wonderful.

      Cons:
You have only 2 keys for a party, so you have to coordinate the activity accordingly: e.g., who get the key and who don't and how those without key come back to the room.

You have to wash the towels in the room while you stay. There is no daily cleaning service , which was no problem for us but maybe some people want fresh towel without laundry. There was laundry detergent, but we bought our usual one from Target.

The bedroom with a queen bed has own shower/toilet, but no tub. Also, you have to go out the bedroom, so there's not much privacy to use the bathroom. Other two rooms have own private bathrooms.

The kitchen had large/medium plates, bowls, glasses, and mugs for 6-7 people, I believe. If you cook, you have to run dishwasher after every meal.

The kitchen does not have spices, cooking oil, etc, for basic cooking. So if you plan to cook, you need to bring those. Buying those at store will add cost... and you probably won't use much and leave them in the room after your stay.
