Itzelberg am See is a part of Königsbronn, together with the towns Zang and Ochsenberg belonging to the Kreis Heidenheim.
Königsbronn with its beautiful Rokoko town hall is in the beautiful Brenztal valley, between Aalen and Heidenheim. The town hall is next to the source of the Brenz (the Brenzquelltopf) and the newly renovated Hammerschmiede (serving as event venue).
Ideal starting point for bicyclists, mountainbikers, motorbike riders, hikers, with great bike and hiking trails and excellent side roads in beautiful nature.
Sights/Surroundings:
Brenztopf in Königsbronn, the source of the Brenz which flows into the Danube. Can be followed on bike.
Hellenstein castle in Heidenheim
Tiefer Stollen in Aalen-Wasseralfingen, a deep mine shaft alleviating asthmatic conditions. There are also the Limes-Thermen thermal baths.
How To Get Here:
From autobahn A7 exit Heidenheim-Königsbronn, turn right and drive to intersection Heidenheim-Nattheim. Turn left and continue to second traffic lights. There, turn right (B19) towards Aalen, passing through Schnaitheim, Aufhausen and until reaching Itzelberg. There, you need to turn left, then the next road hard right, left again, past the lake across the railway tracks and onto the second road left to house number 9.
