Baan Siam is a 2 bedroom villa located on the idyllic, island hideaway of Koh Phangan. Situated amid tropical forest on the foot of Hin Nok mountain, it has breathtaking views of Nai Wok beach and Koh Samui.

The house is ideal for families, 2 couples travelling together or small groups of friends. It has 2 bedrooms, both with king-sized beds. Each bed can sleep 2 adults and 1-2 children comfortably. Ideal as a base for short stays, holidays and long-term rentals. Discount available for long stays - please inquire for rates.

Baan Siam offers the style and comfort of a European style home, blended with Thai design themes which c...omplement the natural environment. Reclaimed wood has been used extensively throughout the property, along with furniture made from natural materials.

Nai Wok beach is just a few minutes walk away. There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance. The local food market is just a 5 minute drive/15 minute walk away in Thong Sala. Try local food, freshly prepared at great prices. Cuisine from all around the world can be found in the town and all over the island.

A supermarket, fresh food market and services such as banks, pharmacies and doctors can also be found in Thong Sala.

Koh Phangan is a laid back, tropical paradise located just 20 mins ferry ride from Koh Samui. Baan Siam is in a quiet location, close to the islands main road system. Nai Wok beach is just a few minutes walk away and Ao Plaaylaem can be reached in less than ten minutes. Both beaches have stunning boulder formations and views. Less developed than some of the islands main beaches, they have a secluded feel but still have several restaurants and bars to choose from.

Some of the resorts have swimming pools and you can use them for a small daily fee. There are several places offering hire of kayaks and windsurfers. Boat trips and tours can also be arranged locally.

Only a five minute drive to the quaint town of Thong Sala with it shops, markets, restaurants, taxi, road and ferry connections. Baan Siam provides easy access to the islands road network and to really see the best of the island, hire a jeep or motorbike and go exploring. It makes an ideal base for visiting all the beaches and attractions the island has to offer.

To make the most of the island it is recommended that you hire a jeep or motorbike. Songthaews (local taxis) do come by but the service is irregular. However, taxis can be found easily in Thong Sala which is approximately 10 minutes walk away.

Transportation from Thong Sala pier to Baan Siam takes only a few minutes by taxi. There are always plenty of local taxis waiting for the boats arrival.

  These two weeks during December/January 2010 were fantastic relaxing holidays staying at Baan Siam with easy access to the local food market in Thongsala ( 5min by bicycle or motorbike) relaxing most of these days on the balcony overlooking thongsala pier at a quite and peaceful place. For me it's the ideal place to get away from the busy city life in Singapore enjoying the beaches, fantastic local food and friendly people in Koh Phangan. This something special away from the touristy places but with easy access to beaches, Markets, Nature and outdoor activities. Suay mag mag !
