Hanoi, VietnamBeautiful Villa - Could not have asked for more.
Left on 05/08/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed at Villa Vadee over three nights (a group of 6) and had an absolutely fantastic time. We were picked up from the West side of Phangan by Roman and Jaroen and taken to the local markets to stock up on seafood and vegetables. Roman was really patient with the chefs in our group and acted as a personal translator!
The villa itself is beautiful, very spacious, airy and clean. It's in a great spot far enough away that you feel like you have the island to yourself but close enough to the beach and the village when you feel like getting out of the pool.
Nuan was so helpful and made sure the villa was always spotless. She is an amazing cook.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so fantastic, particularly Colm who was constantly in contact with us prior, during and after our stay. We could not have asked for more. Looking forward to returning as soon as we can!!! -

Salo, FinlandRelaxing holiday in amazing paradise atmosphere
Left on 04/24/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed with my 7 (age 20-24) fellow friends for 6 nights in this beautiful villa in april 2013. The main idea for the trip was to relax, enjoy good food and have a good time. This villa was the right place for us.
The neighborhood was very relaxing. Housekeeper took us to the "centre" of the island when we needed to place to party. Villa was very clean all the time and I can say that the housekeeper did her job very well because we had 5 pretty messy guys there :).
We also rent few motorbikes for us to go look around the island. Traffic that side of the island is much different than anywhere else in Thailand so it was pretty save to use them. We found very nice places with the help of motorbikes including private beach, wonderful sea views, waterfalls etc.
This villa has all the things you can hope for the perfect holiday and I can recommend it to families, friends, in fact for everybody because with the help of the housekeepers and the owner you can do what ever you want. :) -

Bangkok, ThailandFantastic villa on a paradise island
Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We stayed at this villa for 1 week at the end of Jan 2013. We were 4 adults, a 2 year old toddler, a 5 month old baby and a 13 month old baby. The villa was perfect for all of us. The housekeeper set up a fence around the pool for the kids' safety.
Great restaurants in the village nearby.
One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, 10 minutes walk away.
Wonderful housekeepers, very helpful villa manager and a very nicely decorated, clean and well equipped villa.
Highly recommended! -

Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Our family stayed during the New Year and I cannot even express how amazing and wonderful it was to be here! We live in Bangkok and have traveled extensively throughout Thailand and asia - I can without a doubt say that this villa and this beach is now my favourite place! Both the owner and the manager were fantastic, and the Thai caretakers were great. The beach itself is exceptional in Thailand - extremely clean, quiet, just the right mix of beach bars, local restaurants and higher end so that you have great choice without being over-run. The beaches on this side of the island, and a bit north, were the nicest beaches I've seen in Thailand. The house is about a 10 min walk to the beach; it was no problem for our 6 year old niece to navigate. Koh Phang-na was a very, very pleasant surprise (beautiful, beautiful) but I would not travel there during the full moon parties, as no doubt the ferries are very crowded. The only suggestion I would have is that if you need the Thai housekeepers to do anything for you, be certain to have a common understanding of the price beforehand so there are no surprises. (which is just good travel advice anywhere). So overall, I almost hesitated writing this because I wanted to keep such a wonderful secret to myself! :) But I promised the owner I would write, and so am sharing what a fantastic find this is! Everything by far exceeded my expectations. Congratulations to the owner and manager for being so spot on. :)

OberreichenbachWunderschönes Haus, Tolle anlage, Nettes Personal, Hammer Insel
Left on 12/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We were in august 2012 in this great house. Even the arrival worked perfectly. The house manager was waiting on the beach on our arrival. We were a large group of 11 people, which was no problem. 4 stayed while in another house, pool etc but could be used together without any problems.
The house staff is very friendly and has a few times for us all cooked delicious Thai. The house is perfect, modern and huge! An equipment lacks nothing. Also, the pool is big enough. You can go to the village well, a car for the return climb is of course a great relief;).
We will choose this house again if we return to Koh Phangan. It was just a Wonderful holiday in a miracle solid house on a beautiful island.
Thanks to the owner, the house manager and the nice married couple. -

Congleton UKFantastic Villa in Beautiful location
Left on 11/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Mellor Family UK. We stayed here in aug 2012 with our grown up girls (age 24,21,17)together with their boyfriends. The villa was everything we had hoped for spotlessly clean,in a lovely location with fantastic views over the ocean. The villa feels remote but is only 10 minutes walk into the village and beach. (Its up a hill so 15 minutes walk back !)
The villa caretaker Jaronne and his wife Nuanne were fantastic with us. Jaronne drives the villa pick up truck and would take us to the beach or village for about £4.00 per trip. He even took us all to the full moon party and picked us all up in the early hours of the morning. Nuanne cooked us a beautiful Thai meal, a must have if you stay here.
Roman the villa Manager picked us up from the ferry port on time as arranged and took us to the supermarket on the way to the villa.
The Lompryah ferry from Samui was a bit hit and miss (2 hours delay on the way back) so I would recommend a private speedboat transfer, expensive but much quicker and more reliable plus it delivers you right to the beach. this can be arranged with Roman prior to your departure.
The resort is idyllic, beautiful quiet beach with great restaurants and bars.
We were worried it may be a bit quiet for the kids but there was plenty to do. There are two dive schools on the beach, jet ski rental, wake boarding at the next bay along plus we arranged for Jaronne to take us to the "Total Wipe Out" course in the South of the Island. We were also able to arrange a private speedboat charter from the beach to ang Thong marine park, it worked out about £35.00 each, cheaper than the big charter boats plus we were able to go to our "own island" for the afternoon.
All in all a fantastic holiday for all of us

CanadaExactly what we needed..
Left on 11/06/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I was looking for a high quality, tastefully tropical asian yet modern Villa for a trip to Koh Phangan with a family member for the Full Moon. The location is on the quieter side of the island, which was perfect. There is a sweet Beach community a few minutes walk (or ride with caretaker for cheap). Loved the atmosphere.
The caretaker and cook are just lovely. Huge plus there. Also a new truck and driver available, as well as bikes. Jarone and Nuan - thanks. (Sorry about the spelling of those names)
Location in the mountains, some steep hills and rugged roads.. but I liked the semi remoteness. And I think Koh Phangan is generally like this anyways.
Full Moon rocked. Jarone waited until sunrise to get our drunk and exhausted bodies home. Thanks a ton for that!
Pool, food, kitchen, rooms.. all as expected or better.
Tranquil, peaceful.
Will stay again next time I come. -

Left on 11/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I stayed here in September 2012 with 5 other friends. The villa is unbelievable and the staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any questions about the island. The villa is only a 5 minute walk down to the local beach which is quiet and luxurious. We were greeted by a very friendly villa manager (Roman) who was more than happy to assist with our desires. I would definitely recommend staying here, pure paradise!

Genevabeautiful villa between beach and jungle
Left on 04/22/2012 for a stay in August 2011
This villa is gorgeous with enormous rooms and very clean.
The kitchen is fully equiped and we've enjoyed staying there in the evenings and preparing our own meals. Sometimes going out to Luna restaurant, a fab restaurant in the village.
We could chill out in the swimming-pool too and take our breakfast on the terrace.
The walk to the beach is about 10 min, a bit longer on the way back as the house in on the top of a hill. It was a bit tough for my parents or with my baby to do it by feet so we recommend a car in particular if you want to be indipendent and move easily.
We prefered this option rather than asking the housekeepers (who were living just downstairs, so were very helpful in case of need).
The village is great, it has a few luxury hotels for a nice dinner but better chosing the restaurants at the end of the village (in particular Luna). You could get nice massages and the beach is beautiful, the sea is very nice in this side of the island.
We have enjoyed our time there.

Sydney, AustraliaBeautiful Villa in great location
Left on 08/15/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We stayed here in mid June 2011, we being two couples in their early thirties, and loved it. We were picked up from the ferry port by Roman the villa manager who was very friendly and even took us to the shops on the way to pick up some food and beer supplies which was appreciated. We found the villa to be very clean and spacious and was everything we hoped for. As there was only four of us we used the two main bedrooms both offering en suites and balconies with great views to the ocean. We also loved having our own pool to use when we didn’t fancy walking down to the beach. The two housekeepers Jaroen and Nuane were lovely and friendly (although with limited English)and kept the place spotless, coming in each day to take the rubbish out and clean if required. We arranged transport with them to the full moon party where they waited for us before driving us back as well. I would most definitely return to stay at this villa, the only thing to mention is that its up on the hill so is a 10-15 min walk down to the town which was fine for us although older people may not appreciate the walk back up the hill. Saying that you can always arrange a lift with Jaroen and Nuane for a small fee.
As for Thong Nai Pan Noi itself it’s a great spot being fairly quiet but with plenty or restaurants offering wonderful food at great prices and a beautiful beach. You can also grab taxi boats to any of the beaches around the island if you fancy exploring elsewhere. I will definitely be returning here in the future! -

East SussexA slice of Paradise!
Left on 08/02/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks at the end of July, which is officially the "wet" season, with our three children (twins 19 years old, and a 20 year old) and three of their friends. The trip over there was long, ending with a ferry ride to the island, to be met by the villa manager Roman, who took us to the villa and was very informative about local amenities etc. Thong Nai Pan Noi is on a quieter part of the island, compared to Haad Rin, which is Full Moon Party Central! There are plenty of places to eat, on the beach and in the village, and some laid back bars, across the two neighbouring beaches, Noi and Yai, mostly incredibly cheap. There are parties going on locally for those that want them, and Full Moon, Half Moon and Black Moon Raves seem to happen almost weekly for the serious party animals! Transport can be arranged by Jaleun the villa caretaker to take and collect. Having said this, the villa itself is so beautiful and the location so idyllic, you may not want to go anywhere! Jaleun and his wife Nuan will make sure all your needs are met, and they keep the villa and the gardens spotless. Nuan will cook a fabulous Thai meal if you want, and while doing so teach you the basics of Thai cooking - the English though is not extensive, so this is limiting! The price for this and any transport in the villa 4x4 is arranged between you and them at the time, preferably in advance, and there is always room for negotiation. You can get a water taxi from the beach to neighbouring beaches at very little cost, and there is a great day trip from Thongsala to the ang Thong Marine park, for reef snorkelling and some stunning scenery which is worth doing, as well as several Scuba companies in the village that will take you to nearby dive sites.
You can get most supplies for self catering in the village shops, but for meat you need to go to Yai - where there is a 7/11 supermarket (expensive compared to the village) and a shop opposite which sells frozen meat very cheaply. Tip: get large milk at the Yai supermarket as the village often has none, or only tiny cartons.
All of our party loved this place and our time there. If I had to find fault it would be that the pool is a bit murky, as though the filter is not man enough for the job! The walk up to the villa is steep, but the hillside location is sublime so this is a necessary element! Jaleun will always collect you if you want. Our party hired scooters, but the roads are extremely dangerous in parts, and the hire companies fleece you for every little scratch on the bike. All of our party paid fines of up to £200 and none of them actually had a crash!!! So a word of caution: hire is cheap (about £1.50 per day) but they make their money afterwards - take detailed photos of the bike when you hire it, and any existing scratches. Having said that they really enjoyed seeing the island by scooter.
Mosquitoes bite mostly at dawn and dusk, so coils and spray are prerequisite. These can be bought in the village shops. There are no mosquito nets in the villa, but is you are using aircon they are not necessary. The view from the master bedroom is so fabulous I couldn't bear to close the doors at night and shut out the jungle so we just used coils, and the biting was not bad at all. And despite it being wet season, any rain was short lived, it was always hot, and we all came home with a great tan!
A fabulous holiday was had by all - and we all made a wish lantern on the last night, hoping one day to be able to return!Response from Colm and Ian - 08/13/2011

Hi Sara,
Thanks for your fantastic review about the villa and Thong Nai Pan. It is definitely a little piece of paradise and yes, the view from the master bedroom is amazing. I will pass on your great comments to our wonderful staff Jaroen and Nuane, they will be delighted. Good advice on food shopping, scooters etc. We are currently installing a second filter for the pool so the water will be crystal clear going forward !!
Hopefully your wish to return some day will come true !
Best Regards
Marian
