Left on 09/19/2011 for a stay in August 2011

A luxurious villa with impeccable service from the delicious refreshments served to us on arrival to the fresh linens provided on request.

The location is stunning with breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset.

The combination of this setting and the villa itself creates an overwhelming sense of serenity, perfect for a true break from working life.

Brillian, house, fantactic location, great staff!

Left on 09/19/2011 for a stay in August 2011

The clue is in the name, sunset at the house is spectacular. Being on the quieter, more refined west of the island you benefit from the spectacular sunset whether in the infinity swimming pool or in the 3rd floor bar. The bdrroms are huge and the house has more than enough facilities for the 10 of us who stayed. The staff were excellent and made our visit very relaxed. The location is ideal for the more sophistocated de;lights of teh west of Samui, but Bohput is short drive and Chewang reachable if you must!
Great holiday and I look forward to our next visit!

Spacious, Luxurious and a Stunning Vista

Left on 08/02/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We booked Sunset Pavilions for a fortnight to bring together family from Britain, Brazil and Hong Kong. Whilst we had an idea in our head of the villa from the photos and the excellent reviews, our expectations were greatly exceeded when we stepped through the front doors and had the spectacular vista of the Gulf of Siam envelop our senses.

Sunset Pavilions is simply ginormous and our party of 8 adults had plenty of personal space but at the same time found the 3 living areas to be cosy when coming together for drinks or meals. Each bedroom is huge and all have well equipped bathrooms. 3 of the 4 rooms have sea views, whilst the fourth room looks out onto the garden.

We spent most of our days lounging around the pool, enjoying the sun and taking in the view. One of the few minor gripes we had was that there were not enough sun loungers by the pool for each person in our party. Whilst each bedroom had their own sun loungers, these would need to be dragged out to the pool should you wish to have everyone together by the pool.

We wanted peace and quiet to recharge our batteries and this is what we had! Sunset Pavilions is in a relatively rural and isolated location so is not well suited to those who want easy pedestrian access to shops, bars and restaurants. Whilst the villa has an on call taxi driver to take you places, you do need to plan your days to consider trips to the supermarkets and nightlife. This did not bother us as we wanted to be away from hustle and bustle but it may be a point to consider should you wish to be near certain facilities.

The house manager, Aoi, and her staff were simply superb. They were polite and courteous taking care of the house as well as aiding us with taxis, takeaway deliveries and tourist trips. These guys are a true asset and were a key component in making our stay at Sunset Pavilions seamless and enjoyable.

We would definitely wish to come back and other friends and family are already planning on following our lead to stay at Sunset Pavilions. My recommendations outside of the villa would be to:

-eat Sunday brunch at Nikki Beach
-use the free taxi pickup service to eat dinner at The Farmer
-spend an evening at Pla Pla at the Four Seasons resort
-avoid taking the tourist trips (traps?!) to anthong Marine park and the 'Round Island' tour.

Thanks so much for your lovely review and glad you enjoyed your stay.
For the majority of our guests the quiet location, from which we get those fantastic views, is definitely a plus and as you say, we have a team of staff ready to make those short trips to the market an easy thing to do. The nearest convenience store is about 1 k away and the capital Nathon is 2 k's. We can also supply in advance of arrival and the staff will always collect takeaways from local restaurants( less than 1K away) if you prefer to stay put.

We space out the 10 sunbeds to facilitate both togetherness and privacy- that is the biggest plus over a hotel holiday and something that is not usually easy to achieve with larger groups of people, but which we have the design and space to achieve. Should guests prefer to have more sunbeds around the pool area they only have to request the staff to move the additional beds to that location and configure the layout as they please.

We look forward to seeing you again soon!

    Best regards,
    Derrick

    Sunset in Paradise

Left on 04/26/2011 for a stay in April 2011

This is the most beautiful place with a stunning location. We have stayed on the west coast of Samui previously, in a hotel. Sunset Pavilions lives up to it's name. The sunsets on west coast Samui are fanastic and different every day. The villa is perfectly placed with such a huge panaroma to enjoy them...especially with a well earned gin and tonic after a hard day lounging by the beautiful pool.
The villa manager is wonderful. She is helpful and knowledgable about the area and along with the two members of staff, (who live on site), made our holiday. They even provided us with a food parcel of Thai essentials (galangal, lemon grass and chillies) to bring home. Massages, manicures and pedicures were organised by the pool, as well as assistance with organising local tours. The team were discreet and allowed us our privacy and when around the villa, we hardly knew they were there, except to perhaps present us with mango and sticky rice, lemongrass juice or a beautifully presented fruit platter, whilst lounging, once again, by the pool!!
The villa is stunning. It is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. All that you could possibly need is there.
We never tired of waking up to the views that are seen from the bedrooms. You could easily spend all day admiring them! The nearest town isn't far away for shopping, including a market and there are good restaurants close by to suit all budgets.
We will definitely be returning to this piece of paradise that was ours for a relaxing and pampered 12 days and would not consider returning to a hotel. Why would you want to be sharing it with anyone else?
Thank you for a wonderful time.

Thank you Sue for such a stunning review. Having fallen in love with Samui, the location was originally chosen by my wife and I for its views- and a spacious villa was built to reflect the views looking out to the sea and across the valley. To share that and have it appreciated is reward enough, but to hear that as a team we have got it right is brilliant!

Our long suffering Manager, Aoi, aside from understanding and speaking English like a native, has many years of experience dealing with guests and all aspects of property maintenance, along with the ability to select, train and motivate staff. As you say, the staff are discrete and helpful, doing their job without fuss- one could not find better.

We look forward to having you back!

    best regards,
    Derrick

    Easter Holiday!

Left on 04/25/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Wow... still speechless! The villa, setting and staff excelled anything we ever expected. A lovely place to completely escape, unwind, chill and relax. We hope to return, perhaps with close friends next time. Our only regret was that we didn't stay for longer... we can't describe how hard it was for us to leave.
