I cannot think of the words to describe this piece of paradise. It is truly a special place that if you are lucky enough to experience it you will never forget it.
13 members of our crazy family descended on Samudra for a family reunion. We thought that it was a scam because it all looked to good to be true on the internet so we were very relieved when the minivan came to pick us up. when we arrived we could not believe our eyes and proceeded to say wow several times a day for the duration of our stay.
The staff treat you like royalty and food is too good to even think about going elsewhere to eat.
I hope that one day I am lucky enough to go back. -

The service we received was wonderful! The kindness and hospitality of the staff during our stay at Samudra Villa in May 2012 was very memorable. They gave us such a warm, unexpected welcome. Everybody remained very courteous and efficient throughout our stay.
Samudra Villa was the most beautiful, serene place we have ever stayed. It was a dream. Samudra is the kind of place people imagine going one day, though never quite believing it will actually happen to them. The view from the Octagon room, and all the soothing sea air that flows right into the room, were so peaceful. A whole wall of doors unfastened in the master bedroom, opening to summer breezes and echoes of ocean waves upon the sand. The reflecting pool was like a gateway to your own Narnia...the world wide and layed out before you, as on a silver platter. And the thick, ornate, wooden doors...difficult for a layman to describe, but wonderfully fanciful to use!
I loved breakfast every morning. It was quite a treat to have such a spread before us, with the cereal, freshly cut fruit, bread, and juices. The pancakes and French toast were amazing! Perfectly fluffy and delectable; and with a view of the young sun reflecting off the morning water...Mmm...how I miss it!
The island of Koh Samui had many delightful opportunities to complement our stay in Samudra Villa. The scooter we rented was a joy to explore the island on, though I wouldn't recommend it with a sunburn. :) We snorkeled and kayaked, trekked a fishing vilage and saw the lagoon from the movie "The Beach," hiked and ate delicious new foods, visited Buddha and took a stroll after dark...and there is simply nothing to complain about!
I highly recommend a visit to Samudra Villa. It will definitly be worth your time! I can't wait until we return...

After our first visit to Samudra we thought it could not get any better. But sure enough it did on the second visit. The property sits facing a chain of islands. From sunrise to sunset the ocean reflects the clearest blue. The food is prepared fresh daily by one of the finest Thai Chefs. The gardens are colorful. Each of the suites offer a unique experience. It was better than excellent.
