Apr 49 is quite lovely and much larger than we anticipated. I counted it out at about 66X22 feet - like three double garages! The second bathroom is large enough to be used as a dressing room - we put the small door table in there for our guests suitcase.
The pool is larger and a prettier area than I took from the photos as well. The pool side coffee parties on Fridays could only be improved by acknowledging that not everyone can/should eat such sweet treats.
Kitchen we well stocked and a good thing because restaurants in the area are quite expensive.
Our only suggestion would that the hide-a-bed mechanism and mattress be changed for something that lies flat. A trundle twin bed set-up would work better with real mattresses. -

I have stayed at Poipu Kapili numerous times at various times of the year and varying lengths of time. The more I return, the longer I stay. The grounds are beautiful, and it like the pool area are impeccably taken care of. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The views from every unit go from good to excellent. I like the first floor units so I can bring in my scuba/snorkelling equipment and wash and dry it out there. It also has direct access to the grounds and the pool. Some of the units have been updated with new countertops, flatscreen TVs, newer furniture and flooring and thus are "deluxe." Unit 49, where I have stayed many times, has older, "dated" decor and could use new furniture - the rataan is not particularly comfortable-; new carpeting throughout, and new furniture in the bedroom. I prefer units on this side of the complex because they are on the whole quieter.
