'DREAMS COME TRUE IN BLUE KAUAI" - Beautiful fourth floor condo on the water's edge over looking the turtles eating on the reef on Poipu Beach....Relaxing and exciting with all the comforts of home. Our condo remodeled in 2010 is lovely, comfortable and spotless. It can accomodate four adults since it has one bedroom but also a pull out murphy bed in a cabinet in the front room. Kauai is like "being in the country surrounded by water". You can watch the sea turtles eating in the water below from the living, dining room or lanai. Dreams do come true in "Blue Kauai", when you set foot into our condo! The view of the blue Pacific Ocean greets you at the front door with a full view of the rolling waves. Our fourth floor condo overlooks the vast Pacific and the rhythm of the waves is intoxicatnig. The atmosphere in the condo is light and fresh, like the island and the pictures speak for themselves. Our condo was remodeled this year with new kitchen and bath; porceline tiles
keep the condo cool and being on the fourth floor, the breeze is wonderful. The Kuhio Shores building is located on the South Shore at Poipu Beach and is built about twenty feet from the water's edge with incredible views. From the lanai you can watch the sea turtles earting on the reef and the surfers "hanging ten" on the waves at Poipu! Located conveniently next door is one of the island's nicest restaurants, The Beach House. Do not miss "happy hour" at the restaurant and the increible sunsets from their lawn...a picture to remember! The bedroom is appointed with a queen size bed and the front room has a "surprize" second queen Murphy bed that pull out of a cabinet fro family or friends. There is much to see and enjoy when you visit our favorite island. Do not forget to keep an eye out for "our turtles" sun bathing in the water below! This oceanfront condo was the perfect place for our return to Kauai after too many years away. The unit looks down on turtles, surfers, and a gorgeous unobstructed view of the Pacific. Spotless, modern, and fully equipped for any form of relaxation or entertainment! The queen size bed in the bedroom is great, and a pull-down Murphy bed makes the unit fine for 3 or 4. The owners take obvious pride in their home, and the rental agency provided flawless pre-trip assistance and returned the full deposit on the 30th day as stated. Can't wait to return!

After our wedding in Maui my wife and I were both looking forward to relaxing together in Kauai for our honeymoon. The Poipu Beach condo was amazing to say the least! Not only was the condo easy to find, clean and updated but we couldn't have been any closer to the ocean. Our biggest problem was deciding between sleeping in the bedroom or out in the living room to listen to the ocean...so we did both.
The location is great, we had shopping and restaurants within walking distance and the view from the condo was incredible. The common area and grounds were very well kept and there was even a laundry room on site.

I have been to Hawaii many times and this is one of the best places that I have stayed at. I wanted to take my wife somewhere special for our honeymoon and after much research I found Kuhio Shores 411. This condo has many positives, it is located on the top floor of Kuhio Shores which gives you the best view of the ocean and the turtles below. It is also convieniently located to the Beach House Restaurant and one of the best snorkling areas on Kauai. This condo has a wonderful kitchen where you can prepare your meals for the day and eat while looking out at the ocean. Most of all, the personal touches that the owners have made are very nice and the personal service that Wendy had given before our stay was outstanding. We had emailed several times about her recommendations of where to go and what to do. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone choosing to stay in Kauai.

We had a little trouble finding the right road out of Koloa, but maybe the man at the car rental agency at the Lihue airport was partly at fault there! Our sense of direction was off, for some reason, and we made a couple wrong turns. But we did find Kuhio Shores, and even driving into the parking lot was impressive: the grounds were clean, well kept, lush greenery.
Upon entering the unit, the view outside as you stepped into the living room was stunning: sparkling water, clear blue sky, the sound of waves on the rocks just outside the lanai door. We left that door open all night, and the sound carried back into the bedroom.
The home was fully furnished, and provided things you might need at the beach as well, such as sand chairs, a scuba set (we rented our own), a beach towel (only one that I saw), a boogie board (I think). The furniture was comfortable and the decor fit the setting. The unit is equipped with hairdryers, ironing board and iron, a mending kit - just like if you were at home. I wished for air conditioning, however, as it was fairly humid in September. The overhead fans did help a lot, as long as you were under them. The bed was comfortable, and the room had plenty of closet space and drawers for your clothing.
The Beach House restaurant right next door provides an upscale atmosphere for dining, tasty food, and a wonderful view of the beach and sunset, if you time it right! There are other restaurants a ways down the road as well. I want to reassure anyone reading this that there was no noise associated with being near other condo units or restaurants. It was always calm, relaxing, and quiet.
Just 5 minutes away by car is Poipu Beach, which is where we spent a couple afternoons. Golden sand, turquoise waters, lovely breeze...you get the picture!
If you want a quiet get-away right on the ocean shore, this fits the bill.

Hi Karen and Wil.....I am very happy you enjoyed our condo and had a wonderful time in Kauai. Truly, it is"paradise"! September is sometimes the warmest time of the year becuase the "trade winds" die down but I am
glad that all the fans helped. Becuase the building is on the ocean there is a wonderful breeze during most of the year and being on the fourth floor is the best.
I hope you take the time to come again and stay again at Kuhio Shores; it is a most unusual location. Normally my husband and I go during the summer months but this year we went for the first time in May and it was delightful.
