The Regency condos @ Suite Paradise exceeded expectations. The condo was beautiful, immaculate and spacious! Our 8 member family enjoyed this condo immensely. The pool, beach and shops were all within walking distance. Breath taking views from every window in the condo. We had such an amazing experience that our family is planning to return annually, if possible.

This was my family's first visit to the islands. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly & prompt.
Our condo was clean, comfortable, and well stocked w/everything one needs; it enabled us to eat in rather than dine out & was conveniently located near a BBQ (which we used alot!) & a pool (which we also used alot!). However, we rated the rental unit a 3 star because we were extremely disappointed to find that we did not get a deluxe unit w/a garden view as advertised (our view was a busy side road & large green garbage bins); we found out on arrival that we had to an pay extra charge / person for air conditioning (a must!) even though nowhere during the reservation process is this indicated; the washing machine did not work (there were 6 of us); and several kitchen & bathroom tiles were cracked such that we called for repairs to ensure there were no injuries.
We enjoyed the island location (Poipu) & had fair weather for the majority of our 2 week stay. We enjoyed the little shops in Koloa, the Poipu shopping center (especially Starbucks!) & Costco! Our family enjoyed the many tourist attractions such as the drive thru Waimea canyon, the drive north to Hanalei & Hana, the botanical gardens, & the various beaches around Poipu. We also had a fabulous 5 1/2 hr catamaran tour along the Na Pali coast (saw fish, turtles, dolphins, manta rays & whales!) & enjoyed the Smith Luau (we recommend both activities but shop around for independent ticket dealers).
We will return to Kauai but will be much more diligent in shopping around for accommodations. -

We are return visitors to Kauai, and have stayed at Paradise Suites before. Our recent 2 week stay was wonderful. The accomendations were well maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We utilized the rental program which delivered and picked up timely. We booked several activities and resturant reservations though guest services and was very satisfied. We will stay again.

Disappointed in Denver
DenverGreat area of Kauai, Not a Great Unit

The 8 of us (5 adults and 3 kids) required a 4 BR unit, and Regency 823 has 3 BR plus a loft. Strangely, the loft has a queen bed and the downstairs BR has 2 twins. And the third BR is accessed through the loft and upstairs bath. And be aware, contrary to the writeup, there isn't sleeping for 9 or 10 since there isn't a sofa bed in the LR and only seating for 7 for eating. There are plenty of dishes and glasses, but minimal bedding.
The unit was not very clean when we arrived, but the big problem was finding rodents midway through our time. The management company set out bait and traps, but didn't follow up with us and it didn't solve the problem. To Suite Paradise's credit, they then switched us to another building in an almost identical unit and gave us a late checkout. The other unit (Regency 921) was very clean and much better furnished and well equipped. We enjoyed the rest of our stay and there were no further issues. -

This was our first trip to Hawaii & making reservations myself for the Poipu Kai Resort condo. I was nervous about making reservations for the condo for all 8 of us but after talking with Patti Taylor /travel consultant she was such a great help and very helpful in answering any & all questions. The front desk at the resort were very nice & helpful they took very good care of us. Our flight was delayed by several hours of checkin/checkout & the resort was very accommodating to our delays. They were helpful in all of our needs. The resort grounds are very beautiful, well maintained. I would very much recommend this resort!

I found the condo to be well appointed and clean. I was dissatisfied that there was not a pullout couch and specified in the condo profile. Everything else was good. The location was very far from the beach. And the rules regarding the condo complex itself were ridiculous. We had notes put on our door repeatedly for having towels out on the balcony. How are you supposed to dry them when there are no hooks in the condo. Then we got another not for leaving boxes form Costco on the landing for more than 6 hours. But the kicker was when we were the only people at the pool and the condo police said they were called because we had floaties in the pool. There were no other people in the pool mind you. Your endless badgering on the tenants was annoying.
I do have to say the the person working the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. -

No major complaints at all. The place was clean, and the kitchen and appliances therein were up-to-date with all the needed flatware. Rooms and beds were excellent, comfortable and clean. It is truly a home-away-from home. The walk to the beach via a nearby lighted walkway was very pleasant.
The only 2 things that need updating:
1. Tv sets, still CRT, would be nice to have led flat screen and perhaps some basic HD local stations.
2. Internet access should be wireless instead of wired with a long Cat-5 cable
Definitely will return to the same unit (#823) at the Regency complex in Poipu -

The service was great. Check in was easy and fast. The condo had lots of room for 10 of us. Everything was ready, even the pack'n'play was set up for baby. The unit was very clean. We were within walkng distance to beaches, restaurants and shopping. The closest pool was only steps away. Great for grandchildren. Wished the deck was a little bigger but otherwise it was perfect.

The location was great, as were the pools and grounds. The condo itself was not so great. The "4" bedroom condo was really 2 bedrooms with a loft and a room behind the loft that was pretty unusable because it had no windows and no fan, and the only way in or out was through the bathroom. Weird! There aren't many 4 bedroom condos in Poipu so you might be better off with two, two bedroom condos for about the same price.

We have rented prior to this trip and we would certainly do so again. The family just loved the unit especialy since it had air conditioning and it was close to the pool and on the ground floor. We had two units close to each other so we had a great family get together. Everything is well maintained. I sincerely regret that I forgot to leave a tip in the room. I am so sorry.

The facilities were clean and was stocked with all the items that were listed. The unit was attractive but the counches were worn. it was farther away from the water than i was lead to believe and the unit that was pictured was not the same unit that we stayed in. But we were very satisfied with the unit itself and had a good trip.
