Best Oceanfront Sunset view in Kauai! Best everything!
Left on 01/15/2013 for a stay in December 2012 | Kadatz family
Ocean front, but with a gentle surf. I've stayed at some ocean front condos where a pounding surf was so loud, you had to shut the windows at night but this location was perfect. You never got tired of the constantly moving landscape with whales, dolphins, boats, and scuba divers, all visible from your balcony. You are only five- ten minutes from any amenities, and within 30 minutes to the airport; the boat tours; zip lining; horseback riding; ski-diving, kayaking, etc. This means more time at the pool, and what a beautiful pool it is! Everything was painless. Whalers Cove is Quiet, clean, private and well managed.
Would Stay there again

The layout of the condo was perfect for our family and we loved the view. Our
first morning there we could see spinner dolphins from our lanai. We would
stay there again.

Best view in Kauai

Beautiful, well appointed condo in excellent condition. The view from the balcony is
spectacular. It's right on the ocean. Depending on the sea on, you might enjoy a
sunset from the balcony. Listen to the waves as you drift of to sleep in this luxurious
condo. The pool is gorgeous. Snorkeling access is just a stairway away. You can
walk from your room right to the water. I saw a turtle both times I snorkeled.
Whaler's Cove is our favorite place to stay in Hawaii

This is the third time we've stayed at the Whaler's Cove, although the first time for this
unit. This unit was just okay; it needs some updating, especially the TV set in the
living room and Master Bedroom. The view is fantastic! Kauai is our favorite vacation
Lovely home with an amazing view

We stayed in this unit in August 2009. It had everything we needed for a great family vacation with the added bonus of a terrific view. We particularly enjoyed sleeping every night to the sounds of the waves crashing. The kitchen and laundry facilities were just the job and we did appreciate the free wireless internet access. We would definitely return!
Whaler's Cove - a different Kauai experience

Whaler's Cove is a beautiful property - the location, pool, landscaping and VIEWS are truly wonderful. With this said, it's not like a lot of other south shore places; it's very quiet - no crowing roosters, no laughing boogie boarders.
Unit 134 is a great unit - right over the crashing waves, plenty of glass with uninterrupted views of the water...nicely furnished and extremely clean.
HOWEVER, this is definitely an adult property and our unit in May was extremely warm upstairs. If quiet, beautiful, no roosters/no kids is for you, then Whaler's Cove is a gem. Truly an R&R place, luxurious but not true Kauai, in my opinion.

This is a perfect unit for sunsets and viewing whales, dolphins and we even saw a monk seal. It's quiet and located for privacy and ocean views. We thought it was the best of all the units at Whaler's Cove for location. Spacious and very comfortable. Heated pool is nice and not many folks using it.
Awesome Ocean Front

I spent 2 weeks in this unit and it was all amazing. The views are striking -- there's 180degress of ocean view from the Lanai, and the master bedroom and master bath look straight out to the ocean. The views and the sounds of the ocean crashing against the rocks make this a great rental.
The property is very well maintained and very quiet. I met a few full-time residents by the pool, but there was very little noise or activity. The stairs from the parking lot straight to the ocean were great for snorkeling, and the first time we went down the stairs, there was actually a huge sea turtle sunning himself on the rocks!
The general location is very convenient with east access to the restaurants and such in Poipu proper and the shops and food in Koloa.
I rented through The Parrish Collection, and they're great too. I couldn't find any beach towels in the unit initially and they sent some right over.
I highly recommend this property -- I hope I get a chance to go back again!

Great condo with the best lanai and view I have ever stayed in. The upstairs master bedroom also overlooks the ocean. The complex also has a great pool and hottub situated within a few steps of the ocean. While the condo is located on a small cliff, beautiful beaches are within walking distance. We selected the condo because of the view and were pleased with everything. If I were to change anything I would update the baths for the price.

I really don't want to write a review on this property. We want to keep it all to ourselves.
