  Disappointing accommodation near nice town of Korcula

  Worst aspect was unexpected lack of privacy. To access our room we had to walk through a terrace obviously designated to two Croatian families on holiday together, who were always there. Whenever we came in or out we had to pass them as they sat at their large communal table.We always felt like intruders on their privacy and they didn't seem happy about it either.
  Whoever was sat outside on the terrace could see into our apartment through the voile curtain on the window, especially with our lights on, and we could see them. This was particularly inconvenient as the door into the tiny shower/ toilet was by this window.
  Our towels were supposed to be changed after 3 days but no one came near and to us, using the same thin towel for 5-6 days is unacceptable.
  We never saw the woman who let us in on arrival again, and although the man we think was the owner said he'd need our passports, we never saw him again either.
  It was very nice to have the balcony at the back looking out to sea, and that's where we finally could feel private- until people moved next door. Their larger terrace area was to the left of ours.

  The apartment was just what we wanted. Convenient but quiet location, basic holiday cooking facilities and a pleasant view from the terrace. Totally unexpectedly, the landlord arrived with eleven delicious, freshly-caught-and Bbq'ed fish for our evening meal. Who could ask for more? Recommend taking taxi for luggage if arriving by ferry after dark but the bus terminal is an easy 5 minute walk.
