Washington, DCYour home in Korcula
Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I am sorry I am a little delayed in writing this review, but I did want to recommend the Waterfront accommodation to anyone visiting Korcula. We were there for several days in May of 2012, and really enjoyed it. In fact, we shortened our planned stay in Durbovnik and cancelled a night in Mostar (which is totally unnecessary as you can see that in a day, easily) to stay here longer, and I am glad we did. We also upgraded to the apartment with the large covered terrace overlooking the water. Another good call.
The accommodations are located a kilometer (maybe a bit more) from the historic center of Korcula. It's a fairly easy walk and ddoesn't take long. That short walk also gets you out into a more quite, relaxing area.
As with many such places, it's the proprietors who really make the difference. Paulina has many helpful hints and really makes an effort to ensure that you're well informed and have an enjoyable visit. Another bonus: Since she is australian, her English is reasonably good, too. ;-)
Anyway, just stay here. You can't go wrong. Bring cash, though. Like many, many places in Croatia, credit cards are not accepted.
One last thing: Try the restaurant amphora inside the walled city. It's right off the main drag, a few blocks in from the "land gate". I thought it was great. -

From our arrival at the airport to the end of our stay with Paulina and antonio was fantastic. This was because they booked our transfers, taught us how to take a boat out on our own, booked best seats at restaurants etc. nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Thanks to you both, we had a peaceful , relaxing time with no worries also a big hug to Monte the dog. Thanks Sarah and Simon

Manchester, UKFantastic Hosts and Lovely Waterfront apartment
Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
From the initial enquiry and booking through to the very end of our stay, Paulina and antonio could not do enough for us to ensure we had a very memorable holiday. Paulina recommended several restaurants and made bookings for us and went out of her way to ensure we were having a good holiday. We hired bikes for a day even though we hadn't ridden bikes for approx 20 years and we also hired one of their motor boats to travel around the islands - this was a very memorable day and a must - Antonio ensures you know what you are doing and is very thorough in his coaching. The apartment itself was very clean. Yes it was one of the smaller ones but it went straight out onto the jetty and had enough for our needs as we didn't wish to cook whilst on holiday. When we needed anything at all (i.e. a couple of plates and cutlery), Paulina sorted it out straight away. Korcula itself is a beautiful island and initially we wondered how we would fill 6 days but we had no problem in doing so. 'Kiwi' selling cakes and ice-cream is a real must do as we visited daily ! We cannot fault this accomodation or the 2 lovely hosts who are experts in their field. It was a very memorable stay and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending staying here to anyone.

We spent 2 nights at the Korcula Waterfront accomodations in mid-Sept. and really loved the location. Our hosts, Paulina and antonio picked us up at the ferry dock and drove us out to their lovely apts. The apt is about 10 mins outside of Korcula town and is a fairly level and easy walk. It was extremely hot, and the water looked very inviting although we didn't go swimming while there. We enjoyed a light dinner at the marina while watching the beautiful yachts maneuver in and out of the slips. The apt. was nice, but extremely hot and although there was a standing fan, it didn't provide much relief. The swimming/sunning deck and lounge chairs provided were really nice, as well as the outdoor table so that we could enjoy wine outside in the evening. Our hosts also provided transportation to the early morning ferry (6am) to Hvar. If we were to return to Korcula, we would definitely stay here again, but would choose a different apt. We thought the upper apt, overlooking the water looked very nice!

Paulina and antonio put so much effort into making your stay here enjoyable you could not find a better place to stay on Korcula. From arranging transfers for our arrival from Dubrovnik to a very welcome glass of wine when we arrived with top tips of things to do and places to eat and drink. We followed Paulina's restaurant recommendations and were never disappointed.
We had the top apartment with one bedroom, which seemed the most private and I would highly recommend. It was very clean and very well equipped, with a wonderful private terrace with a shade cover for when it got really hot in the middle of the day. There is also a lovely communal sun terrace with very comfortable sun loungers and tables and chairs. The location is about 15 minute stroll to town, and about 10 minute stroll to the nearest supermarket (on the way to town). Next door is a wonderful restaurant serving delicious sea food. The apartment has an air conditioning machine in the kitchen / living room, but it was sufficient to cool the whole apartment in a couple of minutes...perfect for night time.
We made use of both the boat hire and bike hire. Paulina and antonio do an exceptional job at making sure you feel confident about where to go and how to get the most from the excursions.
We highly recommend these apartments. -

ilkleynice location, adquate accomodation
Left on 08/12/2011 for a stay in July 2011
top floor apartment, air conditioning essential, Paulina and antonio are lovely well meaning people, but we, as seasoned travellers did not appreciate the level of attention that Paulina obviously applies to all her guests. Her recommendations to restaurants was appreciated, however her attention to unecessary detail was lost on us, and Paulina needs to "read" her customers better and acknowledge that we don't all need to have ur hands held.

Having been on Brac we wanted to see Dubrovnik, but not stay there ,so chose a few days in Korcula. Nice place. Mini Dubrovnik without the recent damage, and no cruise ships, less people, cheaper and just as historic. Great food, wine and ice-cream! Paulina is a most attentive helpful and frie ndlyhost, and speaks English as her native tongue which always helps. The waterside location, complete with terrace straight onto the 'creek' is idyllic. There are a number of apartments of various sizes but the bigger ones understandably are taken by the week. At ground level there are, I think, 2 one room 2 person flats with just a kettle, plus a full bathroom. The other apartments are more completely equipped and I think would be better, but it depends what you want. Cleanliness, service and location are top hole. Ventilation (no air-con in these rooms) is a bit of an issue and the daytime temp was around 28C, which is modest for these parts. Parking is OK, access to own on foot is easy, no downsides bar a small room which is a tad stuffy.

We had a great stay at Korcula Waterfront accomodation - the apartment was lovely, with a great view and balcony, in a fantastic location near the town but also next door to a good restaurant. Antonia and Paulina looked after us brilliantly.

Paulina and antonio are extremely good hosts, very helpful and willing to do what they can to make the experience as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Accomodation is located a 15 minute walk from the Centre and look out to a lovely inlet from the sea. An ideal base for this area.

The best thing you can do is follow the recommendations of Paulina. She and her husband take care of you, tell you about the best restaurants to eat, the best places to visit, the best plans to do...
No doubt, the best way to enjoy Korcula is with Paulina and antonio. -

Tel AvivThe most charming accommodation
Left on 05/23/2010 for a stay in August 2009
We stayed at Paulina and Antonio's lovely apartment
in the summer of 2009 and had the most wonderful
experience. First, there was a problem with our
booking elsewhere and Paulina was kind enough to
let us arrive a day earlier than arranged and save
us a night in the bedroom of a 12 year old girl
(the daughter of the inn owner who gave away the
room we reserved...). That was the start. Upon
arrival, we found a beautiful, tastefully designed
and squeaky clean apartment that looked over a
charming, little canal. Paulina and Antonio took
wonderful care of us, picking us up and taking us
to the ferry, buying ferry tickets for us and
giving us excellent recommendations about the
area's attractions and restaurants. We rented one
of their boats one day and took a pair of bicycles
the other day and had the most wonderful time. We
had stayed-in one night and had all the needed
amenities to cook a lovely dinner, which we ate on
the spacious balcony (which included a comfortable
table with chairs and two lounging chairs). In
short, I highly recommend Korcula Waterfront
Accommodation and can think of no downside to the
place. -
