cardiffA lovely place to stay
Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Have just got back from a short break in this lovely apartment.Lots of space, plenty of storage, great bathrooms and a superb balcony where we danced under the stars. The location is fantastic and even though the street outside was noisy and busy on Fri and Sat nights,it was peaceful in the apartment and the little noise we could still hear was not enough to disturb us. We used three bedroom areas but the apartment could accommodate more people comfortably. A few more mirrors with electrical poi9nts would have made the hair drying, makeup routine a little easier, but that is a minor quibble. Would definitely book here again. taxi pickups were great and Marta could not have been more helpful.

Norfolk, UKPerfect apartment in a Perfect Location
Left on 04/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed at this apartment for three nights during early april and were very glad we had booked it. The apartment is spacious, clean and was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Marta was waiting for us on arrival and showed us around the apartment before she left and she was on the end of the phone at any time for any queries we might have had. We did call her once regarding a minor problem we had with the hot water and she sorted it out immediately. Unfortunately, it was too cold outside to be able to sit on the terrace but we hope to come back another time when the weather is warmer as there is so much to see and do in Krakow that we didn't fit it all in to our 4 day vist.
The apartment is just yards from the main square so is ideally situated for everything and meant we could walk everywhere.
As we had brought our adult daughter with us, the layout was perfect as she had the upstairs bedroom and bathroom and we had the ground floor ones meaning we all had our privacy. There are also 4 sofa beds so this would be perfect for a large family.
As we had a late return flight back to the UK, we paid a little extra to keep the apartment on until the taxi collected us at 8pm, this meant we could have a full days sightseeing before coming back to pack and relax for while. -

Amherst, New HampshireStill Perfection!
Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in November 2012
The previous reviewer clearly had an unhappy experience and I know I would have been upset if it happened to me. But my family's stay in this property, including our experience with the owner, Karina, and her squadron of helpers (all seemingly named Marta) was so completely the opposite that I needed to weigh in.
My wife stayed here for 17 days while she did researach at Jagiellonian University across the Rynek Glowny. My adult sons and I joined her for the last 10 days. All of our arrangements, including reservations through Karina, and pick-up were flawless. We had three separate arrivals, including our older son's by bus from Katowice at 2:30 a.m. because of fog at Krakow airport, and each time, our driver Chester (married to one of the Martas) was at the airport waiting with his sign. Chester also drove us to and from auschwitz and Birkenau, and then took us to the last remaining synagogue in Oswiecim--a small redeeming visit. He was also scheduled to take us on a day-trip to Zakopane, but the fog never lifted. Then he did three separate airport drop-offs, all perfectly timed. But you get the point--the previous reviewer's unfortunate experience is not what you should expect when you stay with Karina.
The apartment itself was central to our wonderful stay in Krakow. It's located 100 yards from the square and yet was so quiet that we were disappointedd not to be able to hear the Krakow bugler sounding the night hours. The accommodations were absurdly spacious for four adults and perfectly decorated and outfitted in an Ikea sort of way. We ate leisurely breakfasts in the apartment with fresh bread from the bakery next door, and sipped our coffee as we retreated to our four (free wifi) wireless devices, we had peaceful cocktail hours each evening before heading out to dinner or a concert, walking everywhere. Apartment Marta (not the one married to Chester) gave numerous restaurant recommendations--several of which were on target. In slightly better weather, the private terrace would have been perfect for late night vodka shots and probably for sleeping out. But not this time. We will urge our friends to stay with Karina and the Martas and we will look forward to returning ourselves. -

PooleHopeless, no-one at airport or apartment
Left on 12/09/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Had arranged accommodation and airport pick up. Arrived at the airport, waited for over an hour then decided to get a taxi to apartment only to find no-one there either. Phoned, emailed and texted owner, no response. Wife and myself therefore spent the afternoon walking round Krakow in freezing cold with luggage trying to find alternative accommodation. Obviously not impressed with extremely poor service and commitment to running a business! Recevied an apology via email 10 hours later but by then too late. Very 'risky' option to take.
Response from Karina - 12/29/2012
Owner
A very unfortunate mix up and unprecedented as will be evident from other comments on the site. I apologise again to the commentator. I would only add that I neither received a phone call nor a text on the day and neither did my manager. When I picked up the e mail I immediately responded to apologise and offer a half price stay by way of apology. The offer remains open. It is a good lesson that every single time must be perfect. My apologies again.

This apartment just made our holiday even better! Organising all the arrival and departure details was so easy and everything went smoothly. Marta met us at the apartment and showed us everything. The apartment is about 20 metres from the main market square with a couple of grocery shops / delis close by. Everything you need is at the apartment, it is clean with modern furniture, and is really comfortable. It has a great kitchen so you can cater for yourself. Even though it is so close to the square you do not hear the noise at night. There was wi-fi available, satellite television, books, and a lift to the apartment. There is a large bedroom and bathroom on each level but the stairs to the top level are quite narrow. The only thing that we didn't like was that the bed was quite low. We also used their transfer service to and from the airport and it was great and made things even easier. Thank you - we loved our holiday.

Only good things to say about the apartment and the owner of the place.
Its the perfect location for visting Krakow, only a few meters from the central square. The apartment itself is very nice, clean, modern with all the comfort, nice terrace.
But most of all, although we didn't met Karina, the owner of the place, she was a great help for us in preparing our holiday, she had an answer for all my questions about Krakow and the South of Poland. She knows more then a travel guide book can tell and it was with all her pleasure she did that for us!

Stayed with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and the apartment was perfect for us. My daughter and her partner also stayed and it worked out just great with the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Karina was so helpful with the booking/answering all questions and arranging transfers for us. She is a lovely friendly lady - top class. We were so happy with everything we are thinking of coming back again next year - says it all. Krakow was great and we relaxed straight away. The balcony was really good for chilling and putting your feet up after all the sightseeing/walking.

What a gorgeous apartment in a perfect location to explore Krakow on foot. There is lots of space to spread out and everything you could need was provided. Very well equipped kitchen and a fabulous lounge area.
Olga greeted us and explained everything very carefully, but we still didn't quite catch where the best place to buy supplies was. Basically when you leave the apartment turn right to the square and turn left for the food market. The market is across the road from the tram tracks.
Karina organised Peter to collect us from the airport and his gorgeous wife agnes to be our guide for auschwitz and the Salt Mines. She was the best guide I have ever had anywhere in the world. Particularly at auschwitz as she has studied the history for years and is a recognised accredited guide. Whilst reading the other reviews for this apartment someone mentioned that arriving at auschwitz very early was the best thing to do. He was quite correct.
We were collected at 7.45am and arrived at auschwitz 1 about 45 minutes later. We were almost the first in and we had lots of room and lots of time to absorb lots before the coach parties began arriving, by the time we left to go to Birkenau it was really crowded and this on a freezing day in early March..If I could give a piece of advice before coming to pay your respects there are 2 things that really helped to bring the whole terrible history to life.
The first is to watch a series of 5 minute videos on YouTube detailing a survivors return to auschwitz - if you search for "Kitty and auschwitz" the video will appear, it is an hour long in 5 minute segments. Also there is a book called Hope is the Last to Die that will stay with me always.
Anyway, back to the apartment - it is very quiet and we all (Mum and Brother) slept really well.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone and would stay here again when I return to Krakow. -

We enjoyed Krakow from the moment we arrived. Karina even met us at the train station to lead us the short distance to the apartment. Location Location Locations, one short block to the main square. We loved having the two bedrooms on separate floors as we were traveling with my sister and her husband. The apartment was immaculate and loaded with tourist information for the taking. We used the kitchen very little as food is so well priced in the area, but found it to be fully functional. Even had some English speaking stations on the TV. The showers are a little different than what we are used to (farther off the floor making that first step tricky but not too bad). We also used Karina's services for airport transfers, trip to the concentration camps and her expertise on just getting around town. She even joined us at the Schindler factory to ensure we got the right trams to our next destination. My husband and I have traveled several times in Europe and have decided that this was definitely one of our favorites, not only due to the super/great/fabulous apartment but Karina's attention and guidance.

wonderful secure non smoking apartment in a building with an elevator, located a half block from the city square. Restaurants, shopping, coffee shop with Wifi, groceries, ATM and all the activities in the square and beyond were right there. The clothes washer really came in handy, allowing us to pack fewer clothes. The apt was well equipped, with an amazing patio overlooking the city. The only downside was the very low beds, which were difficult for 2 of us to manage. The bedrooms and baths were generous sized, but the showers were a bit small. Karina was responsive to all our questions and needs and was prompt and helpful. We used her tour services for pickup and drop off as well as auschwitz. I would heartily recommend this apartment for anyone staying in the lovely city of Krakow.

Left on 09/18/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Karina went above and beyond the call of duty in trying to make our stay a wonderful experience. As a seasoned tour guide, Karina was exceedingly helpful in offering tips on places to see and things to do. We were there for a total of 4 weeks spread over two trips. She provided a place for my husband to store items so that he would not have to bring them all the way from the States twice during his business travels, and she was very accomodating of the other work associates that also used her apartment during the months of May thru July. Although the apartment had a minor issue with a bathroom, Karina was quick to send workers in to fix it. The apartment was very comfortable for our family of 5, with plenty of room for us to work while the kids entertained themselves. The terrace was spacious, and an excellent place for family meals. We were just around the corner from the main square, so we often went there to enjoy this fabulous city. I would definitely recommend a visit to Krakow and a stay in this apartment. If work calls again, we know where we will stay.

Four of us shared this luxurious appartment in Krakow. 2 minutes from the square which was always fascinating with its market and musical performances. Local food was great and we only had breakfast in the appartment. Weather was glorious so we spent most time on the very comfortable balcony when we weren't walking everywhere. Karina took very good care of us and we were collected at the airport and then a trip to auschwitz. So very glad we took the trip and were lucky indeed with our accomodation. Great! Try it and stay at Karina's beautiful holiday home.

This was a fantastic place in a perfect location for our group which had nearly 10 people! It was big, clean, 2 floors so people could sleep without being disturbed, etc. etc. The location was less than a block off of the main square so again a perfect location to any restaurants or entertainment. The price was also less than if we would have had 3 hotel rooms so great value!

Just came back from 4 wonderful days in Krakow. This apartment is just perfect! Spacious, clean, modern interior and lots of light. We were 7 people staying here and really enjoyed the comfort, location and really good beds in this apartment.
The hostess; Karina, met us at the airport, and was just as smiling and serviceminded as mentioned in earlier reviews.
Looking for a good place to stay; this should be your choice! -

I stayed in the penthouse for 2 nights in September 2010. The first benefit was how close it was to the airport, by car it only took 20 minutes and door-to-door by train to the airport was only 40 minutes.
Walking into the apartment you are greeting by spacious and modern surroundings. The apartment is very large in size and has a well equiped kitchen with a large dining table and lounge area making it perfect for entertaining or dinner with friends. The whole apartment has a very airy and bright feel to it. The bedrooms are again large in size, about 3 times the size of a room in my own house! There are two bathrooms and plenty of storage. The spacious balcony is yet another plus.
As soon as you step out of the building in which the penthouse is location you are immediately in the heart of the action. It is very central however no noise can be heard inside. You can find bars, discos, restaurants all within immediate access. The main square and historic sights are also only a few minutes walk away.
I could not fault the penthouse in any way and would certainly recommend this apartment to friends, family or anyone I hear is travelling to Krakow. -

If you are planning a stay in Krakow, then look no further for accommodation. This property is centrally located in the Old Town perfect for whatever prompted your stay. The apartment not only provides a quiet oasis once in doors, but it is close to shops, close to the sights and a 15 minute train journey from the airport.
The hosts/owners of the property bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. Karina, is also a tour guide who I would highly recommend whether you want to just be shown around the town or taken on a day trip to the salt mines etc. Her love of history is infectious.
I will definitely be visiting Krakow again and staying at the property.
