Beautiful cottage in sunny Kriopigi, Chalkidiki!

My family's house is situated in Kriopigi, Kassandra peninsula of Chalkidiki, between Kallithea and Polichrono, only a 5-min drive away. Kriopigi is a small, picturesque village on the slopes of a hill, surrounded by a green pine tree forest. It is ideal both for a quiet, relaxing holiday and for a proactive style, since guests can enjoy hiking in the forest or walking along the long beach with its crystal-clear waters. There is also a local train for commuting to and from the beach at scheduled intervals provided by the local municipality. However, if you want to travel around and explore Kassandra's various beaches you should definitely ren...t a car.

The village itself provides easy access to a variety of shops, medical service and supermarkets. The nearby town of Kallithea has a variety of big night clubs and it is just a 5' drive from Kriopigi. In addition, you can visit the nearby villages of Afytos, Polichrono (within 5,5 km), Hanioti (within 9 km), Pefkohori (within 13 km) and Paliouri (within 23 km) where there are great beach bars open all day long.

The house is a 110 sq metres detached, self-catering, two-storey house, part of a complex of nine houses called GAEA (meaning EARTH in Greek). However, it is totally independent, with back and front verandas and a panoramic view of the forest and the sea. It is surrounded by back and front lawn gardens with a variety of trees and colorful flowers. The beach is a 10-minute walk through the forest (about 250 metres).

Our house can accommodate 6 people easily. On the ground floor, there is a small bathroom, a bedroom and a spacious living room with a fully-equipped kitchen. On the second floor, there is a master bedroom, a second bedroom and a spacious bathroom with a tub. There is also a terrace covered with jasmine with a big table where guests can enjoy meals and relax, a storage room and a parking zone for two cars (part of the complex).The lawn is tended by a gardener and has an automatic watering system. There are two sheds for storing goods and wood for the fireplace. The gate door opens automatically for safety.

Go straight ahead on the way to Chalkidiki, first peninsula Kassandra, go past Kallithea and its big hotels and night clubs and the next village is Kriopigi. When you enter the village, you will see the only one set of traffic lights. At this intersection, turn left and go towards the beach. As you move, you 'll see a hotel called GIGAMAR and next to it there is a turning with a big entrance to a complex called GAEA-ΓΑΙΑ. The gate to the complex opens electronically for safety reasons (we will supply you with the electronic key). Enter through this door, park your car and our house is the 8th house in line (or 2nd from the right)!
