While waiting for our container to arrive, we occupied Pelangi astana for more than a week, it has 3 bedrooms, complete cooking and washing facility & clothes dryer. A lot of nearby local restaurants and supermarket and 10 minutes walk to the Curve, Ikea. We also occupied Casa Tropicana for more than a week, in this area there are various restaurants including a good middle-eastern food. Both apartments were well furnished and well maintained,clean and we have no hesitation in recommending to anybody needing temporary accomodation.

Perdama Emerald Review 25 Jan 2012
We stayed in Perdama Emerald in a 3 bed unit in Dec 2011 and very much enjoyed our month there. Our family consisted of four including two teenage boys. The apartment suited our requirements and all charges were included in the quoted monthly rate (no hidden extras) this included power, air conditioning broadband and water. Check in and check out were satisfactory. The owner was most helpful and attended to any problems immediately.
The location is 15 Kms approx. from KL CBD and is in a middle class suburb however traffic congestion in KL is extreme and travel to the city is time consuming. There are several magnificent shopping malls within walking distance and they offer a limited free shuttle service to the city and a Rm15 to Lcct. There are many local budget restaurants nearby the apartment.
We much enjoyed our vacation and staying in Damansara gave us an opportunity to experience, in a limited way, the Malaysian lifestyle. I would recommend this location/accommodation to family visitors especially for longer stays.

Very Good choice for who come to visit malaysia for short-term and as family.
It can accomadate 6 Pax.It is nice,comfortable,easily accessible to the bus station and main road to kotadamansara.
near by attractions are One utama,Ikea,Curve etc.

We stayed in two flats in two weeks:
1.) Pelangi astana
Pros - great location, spacious flat, lots of channels to choose from on astro
Cons - area wasnt the best, no bath
2.) Perdana Emerald
Pros - great location, superb pool/childrens play area, flat was homely Cons - Not the biggest flat, no bath

I stayed at Pelangi astana Condo for 3 weeks and it was a very pleasant stay for the complete duration. My wife and 2 yr old sone accompanied me, and it was a very wonerful experience for them as wel. The apartment is very spacious, clean and has a wonderful view from the balcony. All the daily requirement markets are just within the building. Also places like eCurve, Tesco, 1Utama where you can spend your leisure time are on a walking distance, One can very easliy get cabs and other modes of transport just opposite to the condo. Even if one needs to go to tourist attractions like Genting, Petronas etc, connecting transportation is available very near by. Since we are pure vegeterians and like to cook our own food, it was very beneficial, that all utensils, with gas stove, Microwave, rice cooker etc were available. All in all it was a very nice stay, and if I am going back again to KL, I will surely be staying at the same place. Also to add here that Fizal has been very nice, and helpful during the whole duratin of our stay.

We thought our time here was a good value. Everything was clean, Mr. Jamel was very proffessional and came to meet us. He provided any information that we needed and did it in a very timely manner. The only downside of the whole experience is that we felt like no one had gone the extra mile for our stay. Inside the apartment everything was very clean but there was nothing special that made it stand out from any other place. The pool was very nice, but again nothing spectacular. It still seemed like a good value, but maybe my expectations were too high.

My family (2 adults & 3 kids) stayed here for a week in early June. We had stayed in another part of malaysia for a week earlier and traveled by car to this location. We arrived at the accommodation around 7pm and was met by Fizal (apartment manager). Fizal was excellent - couldn't have had a better intro to the complex and a quick tour around of the immeadiate area - 10 out of 10 for him.
On the whole, the apartment was ideal for our stay. We had a kitchenette, washing facilities and sky TV, which was handy.
The apartment block had a great pool that was awsome for the kids and a sauna + kids play ground close by. We didn't use the other facilities so can't comment.
Bars and (great) food places were close by and could be accessed with in a few minutes walk - big shopping centres were a couple of km's away and I would recommend that you taxi if shopping malls are your thing.
If you are after a location that has lounging by the pool and eating at the top of your list and you aren't that interested in going to far from your base then I would recommend this spot. I would go back based on the service (Fizal) we got and the location. For what we wanted and the fact that we had 3 kids (1year, 4 year & 17 year) it catered to us perfectly. -

The apartment manager was very attentive and is a
nice person. The apartment was well equipped, clean
and value for money. The furniture design was very
basic but everything that we needed was already in
the apartment.
We absolutely loved the location as it was very
near to shops and also shopping malls. Our kids
certainly loved the place, and also the swimming
pool!
I would definitely recommend this apartment to
everyone and will off course take it again when I
come back to Malaysia. -

We stayed with our two young boys in Perdana Emerald apartment in August2008 for 10days. The apartment was tidy,spacious and was situated closer to shops and restaurants. Its located in a very quiet area so after long days out,its nice to have a dip in the pool and a good night sleep.
The apartment manager was very friendly and helpful.
I strongly recommend this appartment to anyone especially with kids. -

Locations: Excellent if you need to be around PJ. Not for tripping everyday into KL city.
Accessability: You need a car.
I've stayed with FJ apartments twice, once in the Damansara location and once in the Tropicana.
Both times I've dealt with Fizal and firstly I have to say he's been excellent to deal with.
No matter what time you're going to arrive, Fizal will come out and meet you at the apartment to give you the run down and the keys. Just call or txt him when you land at the airport.
The rooms are clean and spaciously furnished. The decor won't make the fashion magazines but if that matters to you, you wouldn't be staying in this kind of apartment anyway.
Everything worked in the apartment, any problems were dealt with straight away by Fizal.
The Tropicana complex is just off one of the main highways out to PJ and OneUtama and the Curve are very near.
I do have to warn people that it's best you have a car when you stay here.
There isn't any public transport to speak of out this way and taxi's don't come past regularly. Even if you call to book a taxi, they might end up telling you that there isn't one near, and to call back again.
There are 2 large outdoor pools on the 5th floor, very resort style and very nice.
There's an indoor and outdoor gym facilities as well.
The Damansara location is also out of the way and again it's best to have a car.
If you don't then there is a taxi stand about 200m at the main entrance road.
The apartments here are a little older, and the building isn't as nice, but it's great for the price and the space that you get.
Both locations are in the PJ suburban area, and aren't good bases to travel to KL city everyday. It's approx 45 mins in good traffic.
Having said all that, if you are specifically wanting to stay around PJ, (I was visiting family but didn't want to stay with them) I highly recommend Fizal and FJ Holiday apartments. -

Excellent service was given by the management. I was travelling in a party of 6 (Myself and my pregnant wife + my 3 children all under the age of 6 including my 18 month son and my elderly father). After a 12 hour flight, we were received at the airport by a driver and was taken by mini-van to the apartment with absolutely no fuss or confusion. I was met by the apartment manager at the apartment who gave me the key and helped us settle in. As we had arrived very late at night we had not eaten and the aptment manager was kind enough to take me to get some groceries and gave me an excellent tour of the facilities in the surrounding area.
The apartment itself was of good size for a party of 6 and was relatively clean. For the price we paid the room was very reasonable. Luxury apartments in KL will cost at least double. Emerald Service Apartments are located about 15km from KLCC and the journey is relatively easy by car (a taxi ride will cost approximately RM20). Again we were helped extremely by the apartment manager and he was able to advice us on the best way to travel around.
The loaction of the apartment was ideal for shopping as it was 1km from The Shape Shopping Centre (RM8 by taxi or a 10 minute walk) which included Tesco and Ikea. The 1 Utama Shopping Centre was also quite close (3km). The location is ideal if you want to balance your time between KL City visits, Shopping and Cultural tours. The surrounding is peaceful and ideal for families looking for a quiet relaxing holiday. The apartment has a fantastic swimming pool.
This was an excellent holiday for location and cost, but mostly personal service. The amount of time and help we received from the apartment manager exceeded our expectation and was extremely appreciated. If you are looking for a holiday in a 5 Star Luxury Apartment within walking distance to the city centre, then this is not for you. But if you want to have a relaxed, peaceful holiday which is affordable then this is ideal. -

We rented one of FJ's 3-bedroom apartments in Pelangi Astana because we had to attend a convention at the nearby One World hotel. We were very pleased with the size, condition and location of the flat. Plus the owner, Mr Fizal, is very friendly and helpful (he even came to pick us up on the day of his sister's wedding as we asked the taxi who took us from the airport to town to drop us at the wrong address!).
