Sydney, AustraliaA great location for your visit to KL
Left on 05/05/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The apartment was really comfortable and in a fantastic building. The pool and gym facilities were great and the Times Square mall was huge with everything you could want/need for a family. The location was great too with the monorail just outside and great food nearby. The outstanding aspect of this property has to be the excellent service provided by Colin. He arranged for our airport transfers as we landed at 4.30am and met us for a meal in Kuching where he also helped out with great information about activities for us. He was always available to answer questions and his staff in KL were all great.
Thanks for a great experience! -

We enjoyed our 4 night stay on the 33rd floor of Berjaya Times Square. You could not beat the location or the great views from the floor to ceiling windows in this very spacious apartment. The convenience of being next to a great shopping centre is a big plus too. Colin met us on arrival and was a very pleasant and helpful (with advice and our luggage) young gentleman. We were disappointed that he had to go away the next day (though understand he has important family things to do with a new baby on the way) as so many reviews had mentioned how friendly and helpful he had been during their stay. This is not what you usually get with a hotel stay, but was the thing that attracted us to booking this apartment. Hopefully if we make it back to KL one day, we would definitely consider staying at The Berjaya Times Square again.

The apartment was as advertised, Colin met us on arrival and could not have been more helpful, showed us around the shopping mall, took us to money changer, showed us and explained the monorail system ,which we used a lot, gave us maps and suggestions on what to see where to eat etc. He was a great help. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the shopping right below our apartment. Thanks Colin

Stayed in this apartment for 6 nights with friends, had a great time. Colin was very helpful, showing us around Time Square on our arrival, took us to change money, gave us maps, advised on things to see and do, explained the monorail and showed us where it was, could have not been more helpful, thanks so much Colin. We were on the 33rd floor, great view and best of all 10 floors of shops right below. Apartment was spacious and had everything we needed, nice pool and bar area.

As first timers to KL we were very lucky to have found Times Square. The location can't be beat. Close to shopping, restaurants and transit. Colin is an excellent host and we enjoyed a few meals out. He does know some great places so just ask him, he's happy to share.

I were few times in Kl, but this time I wanted something else that hotel and wanted to feel as well at home as in holiday and trid this rental with friends (we were 10).Times Square Service Suite is strategically located in a very big mall : The Times Square (a mall with plenty of restaurants, shops and cinema). We were pleasantly welcomed by Colin, Robin and staff whose service were brilliant all throughout our stay. Colin made some arrangements to help us to enjoy KL (car, guide, mobile phone, local breakfast,...)
The apartments were very well maintained and equipped with pretty much everything you need in a service apartment for a medium/long stay. we didn't have any complains about the facilities provided. Bukit Bintang, other malls, twin towers are simply fews minutes walk away.
I would most definitely recommend Times Square Serviced suite by Coli Ong to anyone who is looking for a well equipped service apartment at a reasonable price and hope I'll be there soonResponse from Colin - 04/22/2013

USAOne bedroom unit in need of Maintenance
Left on 03/02/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Although initially impressed with the apartment layout and view of KL, we were soon disappointed in the overall maintenance and subsequent lack of response from the owner. The internet worked the first three days then suddenly stopped working (we were there 10 days). We sent an email from McDonald's to the owner who responded by saying the internet is shared and to go to Krispey Kreme, Papa John's or other businesses, not that easy as the apartment is on the 33rd floor and the restaurants are on the ground floor of the mall. As it turned out, the sharing was using another apartment's internet, illegally we assume.
Other maintenance issues arose, the toilet chain in the tank broke, two light bulbs did not work, an electrical outlet did not work, there were tiles missing in the bathroom, sparsely furnished kitchenette, mildew throughout the bathroom, a plastic bag taped to the bottom of the shower door to keep water in the shower... We have found the lack of maintenance to be a general rule of thumb in asian countries, this was no exception.
The owner was out of town during our stay and as the internet did not work, we could not contact him. There was, to our knowledge, no one else to contact for assistance. We were told there would be an assistant available but upon contact, he said it was not his apartment and not his problem.
Overall we were disappointed with our stay at this rental.Response from Colin - 03/14/2013
Owner
Hi Molly. It seems the biggest challenge you had was with internet. I just had a check & your 1 & the only email to me was on internet (12 Feb) was responded on the same day. Not only did I give you all the places that you can have wifi access on the ground floor (since you said you had to sent email to me from McD, which was on level 4) as you will need to pass those places before taking the lift/escalator to McD but I also asked what gadget you are using & if we can lend you our internet dongle. However you did not response.
Your assumption that the shared internet with another apartment may be illegal is incorrect. As I explained to you, it is like the wifi on each floor setup by Times Square Hotel, it's shared among all their units & not setup in each individual unit. And even another American guest who paid RM60+ per day to the Hotel faced unstable connection (while you had yours complimentary).
As you did not see a need to give me your contact number even after I asked, we could not serve you as quick. The few times our helper went to your unit (because I ask them to since I didnt get any reply from you), you were not there.
Instead after I came back from Chinese New Year, other apartment owner told me you scolded their helper for switching off the internet!
The security guard at the lobby said you ask them to do something about the internet! These people were a little furious as 1. it doesnt concern them 2. they claimed you were quite rude. I cant verify the second point but it's rather embarrassing for me as we Asian were brought up to treat all with respect regardless of their occupancy.
I have given you my contact number so you can easily call/sms/watsapp/viber me. Anything that you need fixing, I will arrange with my team & it can be easily rectified.
It's rather sad that just because of internet, you took it out on other people. Here's what you wrote on 8 Feb (unedited) after you checked in:
"We have arrived and everything is wonderful. With English TV channels, Internet and this view, my husband may never leave the unit!
Thanks,
Molly"

Our stay in the KL city service suit in time square will always be very memorable.
We had the most amazing views of the city, not forgetting to mention the incredible shimmering lights of the Tall Twin Towers at night.
The service was excellent, very clean, cosy, and spacious.
The best location in town, close to all amenities.
Last but not least, very friendly down to earth people.Response from Colin - 04/22/2013

We were travelling with family we had not seen for a while and wanted a place we could all be together. The apartment is not new but is well maintained. We were a party of 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all.
We arrived quite late in the evening but this was not a problem. Colin and Robin were very friendly and efficient with the booking. They arranged to meet and greet us at the agreed time to show us to our apartment and also assisted in getting transport to the airport on departure.
The view from the apartment is fantastic and the pool is also worth a visit.
Location is great for exploring KL. Food, shopping and some of the attractions are within walking distance. Public transport is also just a few minutes away. Provided you don’t get distracted or lost in the huge mall, you can actually get to the monorail from your apartment via the mall without even being on street level. It’s not 24hr access though so bare this in mind if you are planning an early morning or late evening.
All in all a great stay.Response from Colin - 04/22/2013

Hey Dan, Thanks for recommending to your mates to stay with us!
We have been busy renovating & changing furniture one suite at a time ;o)
I hope you noticed there was a stair/elevator that is just outside Starbucks that leads to the monorail station instead of playing Cinderella thinking you have to be back by 10PM ;op

Colin's apartment is an excellent choice to make if you are holidaying in KL and don't like cramped up hotel rooms.
The 2 BR is real value for money, located in the 33rd floor (i believe they have 3) and very comfortable. Very clean, not brand new, but excellent condition furniture. All Beds were king size and can even accommodate an extended crowd up to about 8 pax. 3 people can easily sleep in one bed in case of family, but if not, they provide mattresses with linen in the 2 rooms. Room has laundered linen and towels and came with Jam, butter, coffee tea etc.
The view is lovely from the 38th and 33rd floors (we stayed in 2 floors as we had to do with a makeshift arrangement as the 2 BR wasn't available on the first day, but well arranged and coordinated by Colin and Robin)
The location cant be any better, given that you are in the heart of Bukit Bintang in the Times Square building, which is also one of the biggest malls in KL. Pavilion mall is a short walk of 10 minutes, hop across the road (bridge) for Low Yat (it and electronics) and Sungei Wang (cheap shopping) malls.
The hosts (Colin and Robin) are excellent guys, ready at hand for any issue, very accomodative and always in close vicinity.
Food is at hand, try the near by Malay restaurant and Muslim food joint opposite Low yat in the opposite lane.
Would i recommend this place to others? Absolutely. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!Response from Colin - 04/22/2013

The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit was very spacious with absolutely amazing views over KL city including the magic Twin Towers. We had a fantastic stay and found it so easy being within the Times Square complex with shopping and of course the theme park at our door. We caught the monorail (again on site) and were able to walk to some of the main KL attractions including the amazing Jalan alor street market where we enjoyed amazing dinners.
Colin was always on call and a wealth of knowledge about his city and what to see and do, offering to book tours for us if we would like. Better service than staying in a 5 star hotel. The kitchen was all we needed too have breakfasts and snacks in the evening and the bathrooms nice and clean.
We definately would stay here again. Exceptional value for money, great location and facilities for a family of 4.Response from Colin - 04/22/2013

Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I recently had the good fortune of staying at this serviced apartment with my wife and three small children. What sets this apartment apart from all others is the level of service and assistance offered by the owner, Colin.
After reading many good reviews we finally decided to choose this apartment and we were not disappointed. Colin kept in contact with us the whole time, and assisted us in so many ways. We were delighted to meet his lovely wife and adorable son. Colin went out of his way to make sure that our stay was a comfortable and memorable one.
I am not one to write reviews, let alone lengthy ones, however Colins remarkable service demands an exception.
In short, I can only recommend this apartment to others. It has an amazing owner, spectacular views, a central location, and is part of one of the biggest malls in the world. There is access to a gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, squash, indoor theme park, cinema's, restaurants, bowling alley, archery and plenty more.
Well done Colin and we hope to stay here again.Response from Colin - 04/22/2013

The apartment is centrally located, in a very safe area, lots of malls, restaurants and trendy cafes and Colin makes you to feel very welcomed to Kuala Lumpur. The only negative point of my experience in Kuala Lumpur is regarding the taxi drivers, as they are all thieves ready to rip you off overchanging you. Be aware of them and follow Colin`s advice.
Again, I totally recommend the apartments in Times Square.Response from Colin - 09/21/2012

TQ for being our 1st BRAZILIAN guest & extending your stay after!
We do offer private transportation service but will always recommend guests who are just in pairs to use taxi coupon instead as its cheaper than us...but sadly, not always cleanest or safest.
Anyway, I will lodge a written complain to the taxi company.
Notes For future guests/visitors to KL: You will not need to pay extra for toll charges when going/ coming to/from airport after you have purchase taxi coupon.
Before you disembark with your luggages at airport, ask somebody you see there to ensure its the right terminal. -

Hi Rika,
Nice of you to suddenly remember to leave us a review after nine months!
I initially thought it was a spam when I 1st receive it ;op
I must admit I dont remember you as I was away in Taiwan that time & i didnt get a reply after informing you of the check-in procedures prior to your arrival.
As December is a peak time, our aircon is run almost 24/7 almost for the whole month! As much as we ask guests to help switch off when they are not in the room, we dont enforce it.
Im glad our ex-helper manage to help settle the suites. -

I stayed at the hotel at Berjaya Times Square a couple of times and really liked the location. I read that it was cheaper to rent a serviced apartment and did that through booking.com and agoda. However, in both cases, the owners of the apartments did not reply to my email.
Through a stroke of goggling luck, I came across Colin. Not only was he prompt in replying to email (less than a day, often within a couple of hours), he attended to my requests for Internet connection and a DVD player for a reasonable fee.
When I arrived, Trudy was there to meet me at Reception. She was warm and friendly as was Colin and they are both wonderful concierges.
The apartment was identical to the one at the hotel except that the kitchen was well stocked with cutlery as well as beverages and even a water filter unit.
The rooms were clean and well maintained - light housekeeping was provided daily.
If you want to stay at Berjaya Times Square, I strongly recommend that you contact Colin. You pay less for better service!Response from Colin - 09/02/2012

Hello Alice. Im happy that you find value in our privately own suites in Times Square compared to Times Square Hotel.
It is EXACTLY what we want to share with people..that it doesnt have to cost u an arm & leg to enjoy the same 4 star hotel facilities. Granted, we dont give mini bottle of shampoo & alcohol ( we can arrange for a small fee) nor do we dress in uniform, but we make it all up by passing you our savings in the form of lower rates & more importantly, we want to be service orientated especially when required.
So see you again in end Oct 2012! -

Melbourne (Australia)The best apartment in KL - easily the best host in KL
Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We stayed in KL for 7 nights in early May 2012, with two adults and two children (aged 8 & 10) and loved every minute of it!
We decided to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel, so that we got a more 'true' KL experience, rather than the blandness of a hotel, and very, very glad that we did.
Colin is a truly spectacular host, and puts any five star establishment manager to shame - he was waiting at the apartment for our arrival, and showed us around the apartment, how to find and use the shared facilities (pool, gym etc), as well as offering plenty of recommendations for the best shopping, best restaurants, where to catch taxis from - whatever you need -
Also being able to communicate with colin via email before we arrived removed a lot of the 'guess work' from our planning.
There were also several occasions during our stay when we simply sent colin a txt or email asking for further guidance, and he was only too happy and quick to help out.
The apartment was perfect for a family - massive living spaces, great views, great building, extremely convenient to whatever KL experience you're looking for.
The huge pool was a highlight of our stay, and a relaxing oasis amongst the bustle of KL
The mall is great, and just about anything can be found there, including a large supermarket for day to day items. For more retail therapy Bukit Bintang Walk (where all the malls are) is just a five minute walk away.
The monorail station is just out the front, which'll get you anywhere you need to go, and there is a taxi counter out the front of the times square mall.
We spent five weeks holidaying throughout Malaysia and Singapore, and of all our accommodations, colin's apartment and his service was miles ahead of the rest.
Summary, if you're planning a trip to KL, whether with a family or not then don't waste any more of your time searching for accommodation - just book this apartment, so that you can spend your 'google-time' planning things to do.
Thanks!!!Response from Colin - 09/02/2012

Thank your Trevor for the compliments & Im only too happy to be of service to you guys & our 2-bedroom suite serves your needs.
I believe your understanding of the difference between a service apartment & hotel (eg Times Square Hotel) makes the difference.
Getting reviews like yours only makes it all worth it (& Im trying to teach my small team the same) as we want to proof one can enjoy great savings when staying in our suites, yet enjoy the same 4.5 star facilities in addition to personal service ;o) -

What a great spot to stay. Right above Times Square Shopping centre, with the monorail at your door step, and an easy walk to Bukit Bintang. Stayed for 3 nights with 2 kids. Rooms are large with sensational views, and the two bathrooms made it great for our family. The pool area was great for some relief from the heat (Kids expecially loved this). The view over KL is also fantastic, from the night lights of the city, to watching the Thunderstorm roll in from the mountains on our first night. Colin (and his brother) greeted us on time, communicated well and were extremely helpful to us re getting our bearings, offering advice etc. Make sure taxi drops you at the East Buildng. Would definitly recommend to all my freinds and family (and to anyone reading this)

Yes, make sure you get drop off at East Tower. Although we're ok to go meet you at the West Tower or mall as we understand some of the taxi drivers arent helpful. -

PerthUnsatisfactory, negatives outweigh positives
Left on 07/15/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We were four groups of friends who chose two two-bed apartments and two
one-bed apartments for varying lengths of stay (two nights to nine nights)
in March. Family a is my family (two adults, two children), Family B (who will post separately) is three adults, Couple C (again who will post separately) are two adults and Couple D (in a separate post) are two adults. On arrival, Lily advised she only had two apartments for us all, not four. Unable to communicate effectively that we needed four apartments, we were all taken to our two bed apartment. - it was a huge disappointment – dirty floors and carpets, dust on every surface, mismatched crockery and glasses covered in lipstick and dried Coke, dirty and mould-stained fridge, dirty curtains and interiors of windows, one or two odd pieces of cutlery, pillows that were stuffed with what felt like tennis balls (a feature of all apartments), a blocked bathroom sink and a toilet that threatened to overflow with each flush. We then, as a group, accompanied Family B to their apartment, and they will post separately about that. After lengthy delay, keys were found for Couple C and D, and they will both post separately also. Needless to say none of us were impressed, given the glowing reviews on Ta and the website.
A meeting was arranged with Colin Ong at 10pm that night, to voice our concerns. He agreed Couple C and D's bookings had been forgotten, and that the two family apartments were less than clean. He undertook to make amends and shift us around within three days or so. Meanwhile we purchased Lysol wipes and cleaned our rooms ourselves (the wipes were black, especially after cleaning the TV remote control).
To his credit, Colin tried his best to rectify each of our situations. Our apartment was cleaned and kitchenette items such as a dishcloth, tea towels etc were provided. Three days later, he was able to offer us an alternate apartment, which Family a took up. The new apartment was clean and fresh, and well equipped, exactly as anticipated when making the booking from the website.
None of our group expected luxury, we are all well-travelled people, not overly fussy and without unrealistic expectations, but we do expect clean and electrically safe. Had
we all been shown the clean, safe, equipped apartments in the first place, this review would have been very different. We realise each apartment will be different according to it's owner's tastes, but perhaps Colin could inspect each one before his tenants arrive, to ensure the standards which we eventually were offered are offered at first to each new
tenant.
But nothing can get past the single lift/room key debacle. Text messages and meeting on public floor 15 and the ground floor were the only way around it. Colin explained there was no way around this, but prospective tenants need to be well aware of this. The location is great, part of Times Square shopping centre, with the monorail accessible and limited breakfast options such as Starbucks and Krispy Kreme on the doorstep (we self catered). Colin took us all for drinks before Couple D departed, which was enjoyable, and he was keen to help and make amends for our problems. But would any of us
choose this property again? I don't think so.Response from Colin - 07/24/2012

Hi Jane,
Thank you for the fair review which has been noted back in March 2012 & rectified. I have talso taken the 2-bedroom on L17 off my list, amongst other suites, until the owners spur up their suites. Allow me to answer both your reviews (which I find it weird) here.
As explained when you did the booking, we didnt have enough suites to meet the demand of your group back then. Hence we had to get from other owners. I apologies for not inspecting it myself as I entrusted Lily to do so.
I believe you stayed in my personal (yes, I do own it) 2-bedroom (when it was suppose to be Richard) after the 3rd night as promised & the 1-bedroom went to Frank & Deb. You did mention these two suites were much better. So to get just two stars from you for 3 bad stays out of 7 good nights...ouch!
I apologizes for letting the two 1-bedroom slip my mind. It was due to the change of dates after your group had paid for the deposit that made me forget to update my calender of the new dates.
So far organising for your group has been my most challenging experience due to various reason: change of travel dates, emailing with different people, confusion of deposit & final payment because of the change of dates, lost keycards, which group paid for who & who hasnt paid etc. Im sure you found it confusing too when I had to explain to the group, open up my computer & run through email by email to show how the amount outstanding is arrived at.
But it was a good learning curve for me & yes, you guys are reasonable people.
As for the keycard, it is due to security reason that management implemented such. I admit it is a hassle especially for our helpers. Even if you pay alot more in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, the same keycard system applies. In fact my recent visit to Marriot & Hilton Hotel in KL also practices the same.
Im glad you guys enjoyed the drinks. It was the very lease i can do even after Frank decided to underpay me & thinks that Im profiting from their lost keycard. I prefer to have guests leave smiling than frowning practically each time I see them.
Fast forward to present, four months down the road, we now have a new team. They speak better English. Renovated some of our suites as you can see from some of the reviews after March 2012.
With that, I hope you will give our suites another try even if it's not in October.

This is a great apartment (we stayed in the 1 bedroom with our 2 yo). It is clean, new, with good views. Good value for money. And we found times square a good, central location with good public transport links to everywhere in the city. Be sure to try the roti at the local Indian food court next to the times square centre (just accross the lane next to the hotel entrance).
Colin is a perfect host. Warm, frendly and responsive. He made us feel very welcome after our long flight when he met us with the keys.

We stayed at Colin’s apartment for 1 week and it was fantastic. We had views of the towers as we were on the 41st floor. My wife and children loved staying in Times Square due to the shopping and the theme park. I not sure my wallet liked it as the girls can shop. It is very central and easy to jump onto the Monorail.
Colin was first class. If you book with the hotel direct it will cost twice the price and you still will not get the customer service like you do with Colin.
We can’t wait to come back and are already looking for flights.
Thanks again Colin for a great holiday. Please also pass my thanks onto Robin.Response from Colin - 05/03/2012

Hi Kevin,
You have such a nice & happy family even after being dropped off by the taxi at the hotel tower, having to put up for one night at another not so nice room due to another group who decided to extend their stay in your suite without informing (yes, we dont throw guests belongings out but we did tell them only for 1 night when they wanted two ;op).
Anyway, the suite you stayed in is not officially ours..yet.. it's approaching peak season (from 15 May - early Aug) so may only happen after that. However, like i told you, should you intend to buy & let me manage for you (unless you reckon it's not a good idea for the family to be just above the mall & surrounded by another 6 more within 1km radius from Times Square ;op) do let me know.
Thank you for your kind words & it's great being of service to my 1st Scottish family. See you perhaps end of this year & take care of your health. -

My family stayed for 5 nights and the location was just perfect. It is very central. It has its own big shopping centre, cinemas (we saw 3 movies including 2 consecustive sessions) and a theme park to boot. Other shopping centres are just across the road. Out apartment was clean, comfortable and secure, and all amenities are within the building. You will be hard pressed to find an owner more helpful than Colin. He is only at the other end of a phone/mobile line. For its location it is aboslutely great value especially for travelling families.

Well to start I'd like to say the positives! Colin was a wonderful help! He even went and got us tickets to see the KL tower which we would not have been able to see without him. Also the place has a view like no other and the pool is incredible! If you can live with just that , then rent! Otherwise, the rooms are very dirty and used up. It all needs fresh paint and new furniture! There was no shampoo and no hair dryer. If you think you can eat in, think again. In the kitchen there is absolutely bare necessities, practically nothing. You better bring towels for the swimming pool as they will only give 2 out! We had just five towels and absolutely no wash clothes or hand towels and no towels in kitchen at all. I was afraid to walk on the rugs without socks as the floors felt so dirty and you better bring flip flops to stand in shower! There is black mold growing in the bathroom on the ceiling! I am sure at one time it was a fantastic property and can be again if owner just spends some money to remodel. I would rate it 2 star at best. Not worth what is being charged if not for the view!
Response from Colin - 04/19/2012
Owner
Hi Debbie,
Thank you for your feedback. What you say about the place needing new furniture, carpet & paint is warranted. We take feedback seriously. Even though we have been looking for a 2-bedroom with great view, we have strike off that owner's suite in Tower B, at lease until he spruce up the place.
Perhaps it is a little misleading on the listing where one of the items listed was ‘Soap/Shampoo Provided’. If you point to the ‘?’ next to it, you will see that only soap is provided. We had to tick that item (Soap/Shampoo provided) as the two items were lump into one.
As for hairdryer, we do not provide (it is also not listed) but you can request & we can try lend you our personal ones. We provide one towel per person.
The kitchen comes with four sets of plates, cutleries, mugs/glasses. Perhaps Lily forgot to add another to cater to the five of you. I will need to check with her after she comes back from her son’s wedding.
With that said, you should have mentioned this to Lily when she brought you to your suite. Instead she told me you were happy with the place after check-in. In fact, during our few sms exchange, it would have been of help if you mentioned any dissatisfaction. We can then do something about it then, or even change you to another suite.
We always aim to please so you are welcome with the help. When you say it was your 1st time to KL & your kids really want to go up the Twin Tower, we felt we had to help especially when you are only staying for 2 nights & over the weekend.
Anyway, I hope you will give us another try if you ever come back to KL. Regardless, I suggest you try communicating dissatisfaction so we will have a chance to meet your needs when you are still here.
Do compare our price with Times Square Hotel. Booking private suites, you get to enjoy the same great location, facilities, big layout etc but much cheaper than the hotel side. Not to mention personal service.

My family and I stayed at this 2-bedroooms apartment suite from Dec-Jan 2011/12.The location is great and shopping is just downstairs at the Times Square mall. Our 2 shopcoholics daugthers were delighted that they could just wake up and go downstairs and do their shopping early in the morning, afternoon and evening.
The lady Ms Lily is very helpful and friendly and the owner Colin is extremely friendly and extremely helpful.
The hot water in one of the shower were not working and immediately it was fixed the next day. We needed an ironing board and Colin personally brought one the next day. The TV broke down one day and we got a brand new flat screen TV delivered personlly by Colin again. I stayed in many 5-star hotels in KL but the service supplied by Colin is amazing.
Colin invited my family and I out but unfortunately due to time constrain we could not make it.
There is no internet connection or telephone in the suites but that should not be a problem cause one can get Wifi downstairs at Starbucks or Krispy Krempe.
The only bad thing is you get only one keycard to your room and lift. Without this keycard you cannot take the lift up to your room. Colin said that the previous guests keep losing them and he could not get it replace. Since our daugthers like to go shopping themselves and without the keycard they cannot get back upstairs and you cannot walk up 33 floor so we came up with a plan. We all bought ourselves a SIM telephone card so if ever they/us want to get back to the room we or they will call. Everyone should buy a SIM card which costs as little as Rm10 in Sugei Wang to stay in touch. Another bad thing is if you want to use the swimming pool at the hotel you will have to bring your own towels. The hotel will not let you use their towels because you are not hotel guest. You can also buy towels in Sungei Wang.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the suites very much.
We would very much like to stay there when we visit KL again.Response from Colin - 03/25/2012

TQ Jimmy for such an extensive review & tips, especially with the local SIM card. Depending on promo & telco, it starts from as low as RM5 & one can get it from Times Square mall itself or at the airport (convenient stores like 7-1) magazine stands, IT mall, mobile phone shops/ stalls petrol kiosk etc.
We just had another guest loose both the room & lift cards on 22 March, close to midnight! It is such inconvenience as the next day is Friday (Muslim prayer day) & weekend after so we couldnt get an immediate replacement. I couldnt stress more, PLEASE take care of them keycards. It is a lot of hassle for all of us (owners & guests) & management makes it difficult for us to get replacement.
It's a pity we didnt meet your whole family for at lease drinks. You are so thoughtful with your Christmas gift, remembering that I like carbonara!
You also made Lily's day with your generosity & making it easy for her to clean. Speaks well of "Mr Jimmy" whenever I ask her if you guys are ok.
So thank you too & I hope to see you for at lease drinks this year.

We spent 3 days in KL with our 3 teenage daughters en route to NZ. This apartment was a wonderful retreat after the humidity and busy streets of KL. Brilliantly located - we used the mono rail, opposite Times Square, to get to most places. Breakfast each morning across the road at a local malaysian cafe selling the best roti canai; far superior (and a fraction of the price) to the sterile nature of Starbucks and Crispy Creams on the ground floor of Times Square building. Excellent supermarket in the same building for all the basics to eat back in the comfort of the apartment as well as a movie theatre and lots and lots of shops...Colin Ong and his partner Trudy were generous and helpful hosts...and their beautiful son Tristan made our last couple of hours in KL over a coffee special. We would definitely stay here again.

If you're a family or a small group looking for somewhere close to the action then look no further than this roomy apartment. You can burn those spicy calories off in the well-equipped gym or in the huge pool! If you can drag yourself from the great shopping and the theme park in the adjacent Berjaya Times Square, Imbi monorail station is 5 minutes away, and 2 stops you're in Chinatown. The owners Colin and Trudy Ong were there to greet us when we checked in, and were most helpful, passing on a few tips about KL. The small minus is the absence of wi-fi, however, you can get around this by walking into any of the 2 Starbucks in Times Square.

My wife myself and 6 year old twins stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Although we didn’t actually meet Colin due to him being away (hope your baby is better) made everything so easy from start to finish he always answered our questions promptly by email before our visit and anything we needed to know or ask by text during our stay.
The apartment is in a great location in the Berjaya Times square shopping Centre which has great shops restaurants and a theme park which the kids loved. The mono rail is very close by as is many other cafes shops and restaurants. It has a very nice big pool which was also a favorite of the kids
The apartment is on the 33rd floor and has great views across KL, It was very clean and comfy and all facilities worked well the only thing we could have done with was Wi-Fi access in the room as my wife needed to check emails constantly for work. There is plenty of free Wi- Fi available in the surrounding cafes but would have been more convenient to be able to use in the apartment.
If you are looking for a nice clean apartment in KL which is centrally located I would defiantly recommend this one. Colin the owner done a great job in always making himself available to answer any questions and provide information
Would defiantly stay here againResponse from Colin - 03/25/2012

Great central location, quality of rooms, if you like shopping, mall is part of the same complex.
But, Con's:-
Paying a deposit was problematic from UK as no credit cards or paypal accepted! Costs of money transfer are exorbitant - 25% of deposit cost!
This is not the personal operation it seems, many apartments are managed.
Booked and promised a 2 bed apartment for 5 person family but given 2 x 1 bed apartment - really not acceptable!Response from Colin - 08/17/2011

G'evenin Mr Grainger,
Once again I apologise for the mix up. My return to KL was postponed due to the much delayed birth of our 1st born, which was suppose to be on the 1st July
Hence I had to asked an agent (Vicky) to help manage our suite while away.
When you called on check-in day to ask for early check-in, she misunderstood me when I told her to help you check into two adjoining 1-bedroom suites that you agreed to since the 2-bedroom suite will not be ready.
As it is peak season, she gave our 2-bedroom suite to someone else, not realizing you still want it.
It would have been nice if you could at lease mention or appreciate the discount we volunteered & gave you. We also gave you the late checkout you requested for in addition to taking care of your luggages after, all without additional fees.
FYI, two 1-bedroom suite that is adjoining to each other is more expensive than a single 2-bedroom suite. Yet all the above was given & done for you without you paying extra but getting a discount instead, because we felt bad. To be fair, I think that should speak something of our sincerity.
During your time of booking in April, our credit card payment has yet to be setup. It is now although I still have guests requesting to do telegraphic transfer instead as some of them have special arrangement with their respective banks where they dont pay anything for a number of tt transaction in a month.
So we are trying our level best to meet most demands.

We organised our stay in Colins apartment with no hassle whatsoever.
Colins helper met us on the day we arrived and let us check in early which was fantastic given we had a night time flight with the kids. Thnx Colin.
Colin literally had his hands full at the birth of his first born son, congrats to you both!! Despite this, Colin made himself available via txt or email, so you must have access to either if you plan to keep in touch. Wi fi is accessible in any of the restaurants, Starbucks is closest, and everyone in there seems to have a lap top.
The location of this apartment , amenities, and fittings were everything we needed for our stay. We stayed for 7 nights, and were not disappointed with anything except that security made it difficult for us to gain access to the floor our apartment was on.
At times this was quite stressful with the security actually (after a very long day of touring) refusing to let us up to the floor because we had the wrong key card to access it ,despite meeting us numerous times before.
I would imagine that at some point the key card needed to access our floor has been lost, which means you have to ask security to let you up with their access all areas key card. Colin was very helpful though when I rang him and complained. He promptly contacted management and a letter was written to say we had permission to access the floor we were staying on. Security then were very apologetic etc, and bent over backwards when we asked for help from then on.
Berjaya is a fabulous location, with food-court on lower ground floor, supermarket also(cold storage) Cosmo world on the 5th floor, and bowling centre, archery, movie theatre all accessible by this apartment. The mall itself is cheap and great fun with loads to choose from. Watches, belts, shoes, trainers, Anime, Clothing, luggage all around a third of australian prices. We came home with some amazing bargains, and spent only half of our spending money. This was a fabulous apartment, and Colin so very helpful with any or all of our enquiries. I would highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it!! Taxi vouchers are available outside of the West mall, though they are a bit more expensive they are reliable for pick up for 5am flights which I really appreciated. It is about an hour from the airport though so be aware of that. But is in the heart of KL with easy access to petronas via mono rail, and china town also. Colin will be more than happy to assist you with any queries.
Thanks so much Colin, would love to come back in a year or two!! :-) -

it was a short (3 days)stay in the apart. Impressive views (KL Tower, Twins), monorail station just inside the Times Square tower, so no need to walk a lot; a variety of shops and cafes in the complex itself and close to it. Plus the pool and a children playground we enjoyed. I evaluate the location of this apart as perfect! The owners were very nice to us, we didn´t wait a second to complete a check-in, and later Colin with his wife showed us all the facilities, explained the directions of the places we wanted to visit, gave some recommendations etc.
The only complain about this property is htat it needs a goood floor and window cleaning. With this little touch it´ll be brilliant. The leackage matter in the guest bathroom is already solved, I suppose.

Thank you for being our 1st guest from Kazakhstan. If only we had some time for drink but we know you're on a tight schedule.
As to the windows, if you are referring to the one inside the suite, it is clean every time after guest leave &/or every third day for guest who stays longer than 4 days.
If it is the outer window, we have to depend on the building management to clean the 44 floors one side at a time.
I agree on the carpet. We only have been cleaning it by section. It will be due for complete cleaning early May as April has been the busiest month since we started doing this short term stay in Nov '10.
And yes, the slight leakage was repaired on the day you told me itself.
Hope we will meet one day to taste the delicacy from Kazakhstan that you mentioned ;o)

Our family of two adults, and three teenage children aged 13, 17, 19 looked for a location that was central to everything in KL, and most importantly had a nice pool for the kids to kick back in after a day’s shopping. This apartment turned out better than expected, as it was right in the heart of KL and also has the largest resort pool in the city.
Colin was very welcoming by taking us right through the Times Square facilities and also pointing out the money changes etc...Very hospitable host.
The apartment is clean and basic and is well suited if you are looking for a base in the centre of everything in KL, I would say it is not a luxury apartment but comfortable. The views of the Twin Towers are fantastic from the apartment windows being about 2km in the distance. The furnishing at the apartment are basic but met our needs of clean beds and bathrooms and a lounge area with a bit of space for the family to stretch out after marathon shopping trips daily.
You can get free Wi-Fi at just about every restaurant, cafe downstairs in the shopping centre, which was important for my kids and their Facebook updates!!
The shopping centre has a pretty good theme park with a rollercoaster etc...which was great to spend a couple of hours at and be just downstairs from the apartment
Facility security is very visual without imposing, exactly the way it should be.
The Times Square Hotel pool is great to swim in and has huge water jets that make the swim a bit of fun. We stayed 7 nights then went to Penang and then returned for 1 last night prior to flying back to Sydney. I would definitely recommend this apartment if you want to be in the heart of the city and close to everything and need the extra space if you’re a family.Response from Colin - 04/26/2011

ColomboIdeal location for families with young kids
Left on 04/19/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Our stay in Colin and Trudy's apartment was really lovely. The apartment is situated right in the heart of KL, within the Times Square complex, which was great for us. 2 days can be spent within the mall itself - plenty to eat, drink and shop, plus things to do with kids too (indoor theme park and cinema).
The apartment has the most amazing view of the city and the rooms are extremely comfortable. We would have preferred if the kitchenette also contained a washing machine and maybe a place to dry clothes, as the laundry facilities on the 15th floor of the building did a really useless job of laundering our clothes...it seemed like they hadn't even bothered to wash our clothes at all, and had simply folded and put them in their laundry bags! Also, the option of a small cooker
would also have been useful, but the layout of the apartment is such that I do not think this is possible.
Overall, the location of Colin and Trudy's apartment provided us with such great convenience, especially when running around KL with two young kids - it was easy to get cabs and reach any destination from there, plus the monorail is literally on your doorstep.
The only downside to our trip was actually the staff at the Times Square building itself. The security and staff at reception were extremely impolite and went out of their way to give us a hard time (due to a problem with the key card, we were unable to reach our floor without them letting us up). We weren't sure if they had a problem with us being a mixed couple, because apparently the previous family who were staying did not receive the same bad attitude that we did. Even after Colin kindly informed all the staff (both on ground and 15th floor) that we would be requiring the staff's assistance to go up to our floor, they made a big huff/sigh when we requested that they swiped their card! Made us feel very uncomfortable.
Despite this, Colin and Trudy went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable - and succeeded. Thank you!!! -

Abu DhabiGood Value, Great Location

We stayed for 9 nights in this apartment, which has a great location in central KL. The owner was more than helpful in making sure that we were looked after and saw the best parts of the city. In terms of the condition of this property I would say it was comparable to 3 star hotel, that said it is excellent value for money and we would recommend this property accordingly

Will & Caroline have been the most adventurous couple when it comes to food! And Charlotte is such a darling.
Even though you find it excellent for value & would recommend, I will write to you to find out how can the 1-bedroom suite be improve to meet its 4-star stature.
We also would like to know how we can improve on the service ratings or what are your standard. You did say you were looked after & saw the best parts of the city
We look forward to see your holiday home up & meeting you there! ;o) -

Excellent apartment for two couples or a famly with two children in a very conventient part of central KL. Monorail at door, all shops and services within complex. Very short walk (one block to Bukit Bintang). Hard to fault, particularly for the money. The owner was very helpful. We would certainly stay here again. Nb - great views from main bedroom.

The owners of the apartment expressed true Malayasian hospitality. We were welcomed to the apartment and shown around the amazing complex the apartment was situationed in.
All our questions regarding money exchange, food, shopping and tours were answered, plus much much more.
The views from our rooms of the towers and KL where simply beyond words.
Security in the building was excellent; though not over bearing.
The pool/fitness facilities were family friendly.
Overall we can't wait to return.Response from Colin - 03/28/2011

It was our first time in KL, Colin and Trudy were supremely hospitable and we just had such a great time there. Our stay was only for the weekend, but Colin and Trudy made time to show us around parts of KL and point us to some really to good places to shop and eat!
The apartment was spotless with a beautiful view. The locale was so close to every great shopping, all within walking distance! When we were too tired to walk 5 - 10 mins out, we just went downstairs and explored Times Square.
We had a fantastic time and having Colin and Trudy there was a bonus! Thank you so much for having us, cannot wait to be back soon!!Response from Colin - 03/15/2011

+This apartment was in the ideal location for anyone's first visit to Kuala Lumpar. Close to the Monorail, above a shopping centre where you could buy everything you would need. And so spacious I did not want to leave there. As for the Owner, well you could not have wished for better. He not only took us three ladies out for an evening meal, but picked us up on the morning of our departure and drove us to the Central bus station giving us a mini tour of the sights on the way. How nice was that. Colin you are a very nice man and that was a very pleasant start to our holiday in Malaysia. I would not hesitate to recommend this appartment to anyone thinking of going to Kuala Lumpar.
I must just mention Colin has a lovely Wife who by now must be almost ready to present him with his first Baby. I wish you and your new baby all the best Colin.Response from Colin - 03/13/2011

This apartment must be the best value for money in Kuala Lumpur!!
Just back from a wonderful 4 day 'girls long weekend' ... shopping, relaxing, being pampered, sight seeing & eating great food.
This apartment was the ideal location for us. So convenient to be right in Times Square and walking distance to all the action in Bukit Bintang. For longer trips taxis and monorail at the front entrance.
Very clean and comfortable ...lots of space ... 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living area and kitchen. Amazing pool with massage jets ...so refreshing in Kl's heat.
Fantastic view of KL cityscape & Petronas Towers. Although there are 2 TVs we never got around to watching preferring to sit by the huge windows fascinated by the ever changing scene below.
Manager Colin and his lovely wife Trudi are exceptional. Thank you both for your kindness and I apologise for any misunderstanding.Response from Colin - 03/24/2011

My family (2 adults plus 2 children aged 6 and 1) stayed here for 3 nights. We were extremely impressed with the suite for several reasons:
1. Great location - in Times Square. Indoor amusement park thoroughly enjoyed by my son. Easy walk to train.
2. Comfortable and spacious suite.
3. Great service from Colin and Trudi (the owners), who really went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We have travelled to more than 50 countries and have never experienced such great, generous service.
Thanks again! Hopefully we'll be back sometime!Response from Colin - 01/31/2011

This apartment had a good view of downtown Kuala Lumpur in the heart of the shopping district. This makes the location very convenient as you can walk to most locations without the extra expense of a taxi.

Very convenient location in the center of KL, near the metro station, not far away from Bukit Bitang, the place known by its trade centers and restaurants. Also near the building Time Square is the taxi station, building itself is united with a big trade center.
There is everything you need in the suite, if you want something additional, you always can address Colin, manager of the suite.
He is very friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Colin always does his best to assist you.Response from Colin - 11/16/2010

Thanks for review Alex & Elina,
Glad you found place of convenience.
I think you meant Time Square building is connected to the monorail station.
Of course plenty of taxi is also available downstairs ;o) -

All i want to say is this is the place to stay. Thankyou Colin for being so helpful and i look forard to seeing you again
