Sydney, AustraliaAmazing Experience
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Just arrived home from the most amazing holiday in Bali. Villa Canderi was everything we could have wanted. The location is beautiful, peaceful and authentically Balinese. Villa Canderi gives you a real sense of Balinese life while being close enough to the hustle and bustle of Kuta to satisfy the most enthusiastic shopping desires. We found some amazing high quality restaurants all with tranquil atmosphere and the most out of the world food selections imaginable. The booking process was super easy, we were picked up from the airport with no fuss and Rai was more than just a cleaner - nothing was a trouble for her. If you want a Balinese holiday that not only relaxes you but erases the notion of stress all together then Villa Canderi is the way to go.

Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Hi, we stayed for 10 days end of may/start june. Weather was amazing. Travelled with 2 children & 1 baby. Lots of space throughout the Villa. We had Made as a driver for a day or two, he had great knowledge of places to go & must see places. Def worth having a driver. Rai who is the house keeper was amazing. She looked after our 6 month old, 10 & 12 year old for the day so we could head into Legian without the kids. She def went above & beyond for us. We would def stay again. Pool was beautiful after a day travelling the country side. Cant wait for the next holiday :) Tanya the owner was also a massive help with every single thing we needed to know. Couldnt thank her enough for her help.

Wellington, NZWonderful Bali Experience
Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Loved the location, the sights and sounds giving it the real feel of Bali. The Villa was fantastic with a lovely pool and outdoor area and inside very spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was the opportunity to interact with the other guests staying in the other villa.
There was a great brochure giving very helpful information of local cuisine and places to go. Everything was taken care of, to make for a wonderful stay.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

We rented both villas as we had teenagers and friends and it worked out really well because of the large space both upstairs & downstairs and number of bathrooms in each villa. The pool was a godsend after hectic days and we found taxis cheap and easy to hire for the day. Rai was lovely to see every morning with her cheery smile and eagerness to help.

SydneyWould be good if it was clean
Left on 05/13/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We were staying at the villa and had a good stay overall. The villa is more like a local Balinese house, rather than the villas that are traditionally rented to tourists. It is a large house that is split into two apartments (upstairs and downstairs), which are rented separately. The facilities are no-frills, but functional and spacious. A shared pool is located downstairs. The house is serviced by a housekeeper (Rai) and another girl who helps her cleaning, but no security staff. It's actually quite hard now to get a three-bedroom place at the $100 mark, even as far away as Canggu, so we thought the villa represented good value at the time of booking.
My main issue is cleanliness. When we arrived some of the previous guest's stuff was still in the fridge, including a half-finished bottle of wine and used tube of Vegemite. And the bathrooms in particular were quite filthy. They really need renovation. I don't want to complain too much given the price paid. I'm posting a few extra photos, because I think the current ones are a little bit misleading. You should know what you are buying, particularly if you are thinking about booking this place for a wedding.Response from Ketut Richards - 05/15/2012

We are sorry to hear that you were not delighted with your accommodation, I know Rai worked extra hard with cleaning of your large group during your stay. The wine bottle left in the fridge was an oversight however, we leave vegemite and other condiments like salad dressing and sauces in the villas for our majority Australian guests to use as complimentary items. As for the bathrooms, I am not sure if you know about the minerals that come from the water in the ground at Canggu, but this makes it hard to clean off without using strong bleach which is not good for the environment! However, I was in the villas staying at the same time as you and there was no mention to us about any problem with the bathrooms??

We stayed at Villa Canderi for 10 nights, we had such a warm welcome from Rai the house keeper, she made sure all our needs were attended to.
The villa had everything we needed for a comfortable stay., as we had a large group, we took up both villas, there was more than enough room in the huge rooms, the beds were exceptionally confortable.
The pool was a welcome oasis after hectic days shopping, the main town of Kuta Legian areas was a 20 min drive, Tanya had organised a driver for us to use for a small fee.
The villas are a short drive away from Echo beach, which had beautiful sunsets and fantastic resturants.
I will be returning this year, looking forward to relaxing in my oasis -

We had a most wonderful holiday at Villa Canderi, beautifully appointed with every detail taken care of. We especially enjoyed doing our morning walk in the rice fields adjoining the villa and chatting with the locals. Everything was clean and comfortable and there is nothing nicer than a swim in the beautiful pool or relaxing with a book. Only a short walk to small shops and a close taxi ride to restaurants. Massage and pedicures are fun when they come to you at the villa.
