Description from the owner
Located on our small family farm in an unspoilt tranquill highland glen, this is the place to be if you truly want to unwind from everyday stresses. A lovely cosy farm cottage at our "road end" but only 20mins drive to the majestic Eilean Donan Castle. We also have several awesome walks "from the door" including an awe inspiring walk to the "falls of Glomach" hidden in the mountainous wilderness. A river runs through our farm which teems with elusive wildlife. Why not stay still for an hour to see the otters or watch the wild salmon leap. High up on the towering mountains the golden eagle soars and the deer roam free. Sea fishing is a must fr...Read more

GlasgowThe perfect peaceful getaway!!
Left on 06/16/2012 for a stay in May 2012
If a quiet tranquil holiday in the Scottish highlands is what you are after then this place is ideal! Its set at the end of a glen a few miles from Eilean Donan castle, and the falls of Glomach. We went as a getaway from city life for a week, and wow, thats what you get! The couple that own the house are lovely-they were extremely helpful with lots of local knowledge. There are loads of hills around the house itself for walks, but also in easy driving distance of the Isle of Skye, which makes a great trip not to be missed. The Glomach falls is quite a walk away, probably only for more experienced walkers, but as one of the highest waterfalls in britain its worth it too-there is even a smaller waterfall just behind the house maybe a 20 minute walk up the hill, possible to get to with kids. And if they get bored there is even a table tennis table in a barn next door to keep them occupied! The house was well equipped and clean, with plenty of space-all you could need for a walking holiday anyway. We originally came here through a recommendation from a work colleague and we will definitely be back with some friends as soon as we can!

GooikJust what we needed.
Left on 06/14/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Tigh Iseabail Cottage proved to be an exellent choice for our little walking group "The Johnny Walkers"! Exellent location, friendly host (William) who came over a few times to have a litle chat. The 7 mile drive along Loch Long to reach the cottage was never dull.. The cottage was clean and provided us with all what we needed to relax after long days on the hills. It was, ...just what we needed!

EdinburghHighland Hospitality at its finest and exceptional value too!

Quaint and quiet, set in a serene and fairly remote area in the Highlands. Welcomed by the owner who was nothing short of lovely! Fresh eggs provided by the farm's very own chickens made for delicious breakfasts during our stay and we were also invited to join the owner during his morning rounds feeding the chickens, lambs and pigs with their many adorable piglets!!
A fabulously relaxing location with the surrounding hills offering breathtaking scenery as well as great trail walks.
The cottage itself was warm and comfortable with plenty of indoor friendly entertainment on offer in the form of tv, dvd's, boardgames and jigsaw puzzles should the weather turn. Our group were staying in the downstairs room while the upstairs was to house another group. Upon arrival of the other group, the owners were considerate and warm in introducing us all which made for a pleasant atmosphere and easy to befriend our new cottage-mates.
We all had a wonderful time and hope to come back again and bring more of our friends to enjoy this peaceful Highland holiday spot. -

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed and comfortable. Willie who runs the retreat was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even took us to feed the animals on the farm one morning! The location was beautiful and secluded, the perfect way to escape the everyday. The beds were comfy and the kitchen fully equiped. Had a great time and was sad to have to leave. Will be returning as soon as I can!

Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. The cottage was very well maintained, warm and comfortable, with a large fenced in garden ideal for the dog. The location was very quiet, peaceful with beautiful scenery. Plenty of walks without going too far but also a fine base for touring the area.
We loved the peace and quiet a great place to be to get away form the bustle of everyday life. The perfect place to unwind and relax.
