Terrazza House : bon rapport qualité-prix, quartier magnifique

Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in November 2010

      Spacious and delightful gem.

Left on 07/04/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The photos don't lie, this is a gem on the hill ~50 m above the Philosophers Walk. Two large western bedrooms and a charming large tatami mat living/bedroom. We all enjoyed the cooling natural breezes not felt in much of Kyoto - and the air con was great for that inevitable summer humidity. Daniel (the local agent, called the 'Travel angel', a compulsory part of the booking) met us on arrival as organised and showed us around the house and local shops and helped us with transactions with the charming locals (6 words of Japanese occasionally weren't enough).
Our 2 teenage children loved the huge (by Japanese standards) living room and large balcony. Our friends loved their comfortable and private bedroom and ensuite. I loved the tranquility, space and airy views especially on the 2 days I was unwell and mostly stayed home. Great kitchen. Good value for 6 of us and thank you again Daniel.
