Luxury Villa 3 Bed 3 Bath, situated on the edge of beautiful Karmi (Karaman) Village. Set high up in the foothills of the Besparmak Mountains and just under St Hillarion Castle, with fabulous views of the sea in front of the villa and the mountains behind. There are nine villas on the site. 5 minutes walking distance from Karmi village and 10 minutes drive to Kyrenia Harbour, the villa is 4 miles west of Kyrenia.
3 different terrace levels for you to enjoy "al fresco" eating or simply watching the sun go down with a cool drink. The kitchen has all mod appliances, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave & cold water dispenser. The villa is the right choice if you are seeking tranquillity and a peaceful holiday to totally chill out and unwind.
Kyrenia District
Northern Cyprus is one of the last unspoiled jewels in the Med and is worth visiting at any time of year. During July and August it can be very hot. Spring erupts in a blaze of flowers in mid-February, and it is still possible to sunbathe and swim in the sea up to the end of November. There is plenty of flora and fauna to see, walkers will enjoy the many walks available and the villa is perfectly situated for these activities.
For history lovers, there are many historical sites to explore and there is plenty to see from magical castles and Roman mosaics, to monasteries and churches. There are plenty of beaches ranging from those with a variety of water sports available to the wild and deserted. The waters are clean & crystal clear.
Karmi / Karaman Village
Karmi is without doubt the most beautiful and well-kept village in the whole of Cyprus, perhaps even the Med. A beautiful old church, masses of bougainvillea and other flowers, little cobbled streets meander around, running mountain streams, and wild-life are the only sounds you are likely to hear. Village Amenities include a shop, 2 restaurants, pub, bar & coffee shop. 5 mins down the hill supermarkets, shops, beaches & restaurants can be found. The lovely old Kyrenia harbour is one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
The local people are friendly, polite and hospitable, the cuisine is reasonable priced and superb. Karmi village is inhabited by mostly British or foreign people who have been living in the village for a long time. They have their own bars & restaurants . Karmi is on the Besparmak Mountains (Five Finger Mountains), having one of the best views on the planet! The area is not as humid as the other parts of the island. There is usually a gentle breeze coming from the mountains.
How to get there
You can now fly into Larnaca in Southern Cyprus and cross over to the North. BA & Easyjet are now offering very cheap fares and we can arrange for you to be collected by taxi (£45 each way) from the North who will then drive you across the border, directly to your villa. Transfers are approx 80mins. We can also arrange hire cars at discounted prices to be delivered directly to the villa for you, for a totally hassle free holiday.
It is also possible to arrange car hire at a couple of places in the south who will allow their cars to be taken to the North, however you must purchase additional insurance on the Turkish side at the border for driving in the North.
Alternatively you can fly to Ercan AIrport (Lefkosa) in Northern Cyprus on Turkish Airlines from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, Manchester, Belfast & Glasgow, budget airline Pegasus from Stanstead now offer cheap flights. The villa is 40 mins from Ercan airport. These flights involve a touchdown in Turkey (normally only 45mins)
