Our stay at Les Marroniers was a week to short! Johnny and Michel were gracious hosts and lovely people. There home was spotless, simply elegant and comfortable. The pool are was a delight, the breakfast simple but the perfect start to a day in the French Country. We really wished we could of stayed longer.

We returned to Les Marronniers in the pretty village of La Bruguiere for our 4th visit in august 2011. This time, we extended our stay to 2 weeks. Our previous 1 week visits were simply not long enough to enjoy the comforts of this idyllic Maison de Maitre.
Johnny and Michel were, as always, the most welcoming and kindly of hosts particularly after our 24 hours of travelling from the USa to get to La Bruguiere. them. The house and our hosts were as perfect as ever. It was wonderful to find our room overlooking the swimming pool and garden (with a glimpse of Mont Ventoux in the early morning) awaiting our arrival. The only changes since last year were the additions of a few new pieces of art to the already magnificent collection. Johnny and Michel's taste is impeccable.
We had 14 blissful and relaxing days beginning with a leisurely breakfast in the courtyard every morning. Michel, a cheerful early riser, drove to the local boulangerie to ensure that there was fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolat for us. To these he added fruits from the garden which had that sweetness which comes from being sun ripened in situ. Breakfast, a communal affair, allowed guests from many different countries, and always interesting, to chat about the previous days' activities. We spent a lot of time swimming or lazing by the pool or visiting nearby towns and villages, full of splendid architecture, for lunch or dinner. The surrounding countryside is always a pleasure to drive through with its spectacular views and empty roads.
Thank you Johnny and Michel for making our holiday with you so perfect, even to providing 14 days of hot sunny weather. We look forward to returning to what feels like home in La Bruguiere next year.

'Les Marronniers' is an amazing 18th century country home adored with beautiful antique furniture. Our very friendly and gracious hosts welcomed us with open arms making us feel relaxed from the moment we stepped into their front garden. Breakfast was very 'French' under an old chestnut tree and definitely a highlight. If you are seeking a few days of relaxation and want to explore the surrounding villages this is definitely the place to come to, but you need a car!We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed a week.

LondonA home in Provence
Left on 07/25/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We have been visiting Les Marronniers as often as we can since it first opened, more years ago than we care to remember! Johnny and Michel's beautiful home provides us with the rest, peace and tranquillity that we first of all look for but Uzes and other places of interest in Provence are all within easy reach should you want to visit them. We have stayed in other parts in France but coming back to Les Marronniers is like coming home (except you don't have to cook or clean!) Johnny and Michel have become the best of friends and we hope to be visiting for many more years to come.

ParisWhen is my next stay ?
Left on 07/24/2011 for a stay in March 2011
I came to know Les Marronniers back in 2006. A chance encounter really as sometime you come across on the internet.
More than that, it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet with great hosts, to stay at a their charming place and to discover a wonderful area in and around Uzès !
To me, whenever I have stayed again and again at Les Marronniers since 2006, I was not merely at a "guest house": instead, John and Michel always gave me the feeling tof being "a guest of the house"; the closest you can get to a second home.
The house is authentically authentic, the hosts are welcoming, funny and helpful when needed but always discreet, breakfasts are a great moment whether on your own or shared with other guests (some of them becoming friends overtime !), the rooms are pretty, convenient, quiet and very clean, etc,...
What to ask for more? Another stay !

Johnny and Michel made us feel at home from the first moment we arrived: drinks under the chestnut trees, incredible breakfasts with fresh-picked cherries, a perfect little suite with their own pictures on the bedside table. They even did our laundry while we relaxed by the pool. If you were lucky enough to have friends like these, and they happened to own a perfectly restored 200-year-old farmhouse in a charming village, you could not have a better experience.

Les Marrionnier's offers all you could desire for a short break in the French Countryside.
The House is beautifully furnished and the gardens pretty and smart.
This is no ordinary B & B, the hosts are great characters and Michel and Jonny welcome you as long lost friends.
The home and pool are both immaculate and the attention to detail is apparent from the minute you arrive.
Great Place Great People what more could you ask for. -

I cannot exactly remember the times we have spent in Les Marronniers, it must be 4 or 5 times. We felt at home since the first time Michel opened the gate. What a beautiful house! We like the atmosphere that hangs around, the pretty rooms, the music and the drinks with Johnny and Michel and some of their guests...
