Description

The Cangrejal River Lodge is a three bedroom 2 bath home. The Lodge is on the banks of the Rio Cangrejal and is located as close to the river as we could build it. Four miles up a picturesque road that winds along the river, it is close to the shops and restaurants of the city but far enough from La Ceiba's hustle and bustle for peace and quiet.

The Lodge is a combination of the Tucano and Jungle Lodges. The upper floor is a spacious two bedroom home. The master has a queen bed and access to the large deck. The guest room has two single beds. The roomy bathroom has a shower and washbasin area separated from toilet and bidet. Large well equipped kitchen with full sized gas stove and refrigerator. Gorgeous hard wood floors. The Jungle Lodge is a spacious studio and makes up the lower floor of the Lodge. Two queen beds and a double bunk bed, huge living area. En suite bathroom. Kitchenette. Large patio under roof. The Lodge has Ceiling fans throughout and full flow through ventilation.

Great views of the jungle, the river, the fish pond, the waterfall and the Rio Cangrejal. Close to restaurant and 65 foot infinity pool. Rent with Bejuco and Del Rio for large parties.

The Lodge provides access to the Pico Bonito National Park and is close to all rafting and adventure tours. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and next to a sweet water stream.

There are many hikes close by. The most popular is a strenuous 4 hour hike to the waterfall in the park. The waterfall is right in front of the lodge.

There are many benches throughout the gardens that are a favorite with the birders that visit. Many species of birds abound. Be patient and you may see a Toucan or two.

The lodge is perfect for families and will sleep up to ten persons.
