Less than 1km from the centre of Saint-Jean-De-Sixt, the chalet is equidistant from two of the area's main ski resorts - La Clusaz and Grand Bornand. Each of these share a single Aravis Ski pass that provides 220km of skiing and 95 lifts with slopes suitable for all levels including extensive off-piste areas. There's so much to go at. So, after you've enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, all you need to decide is which 10-minute car journey you'll be taking today!
There are plenty of activities to enjoy in summer too ranging from mountain-biking, alpine walking and horse-riding through to mountaineering, climbing and paragliding. There's also high-wire forest adventure centres for the whole family to enjoy. With such a vast expanse of tracks, trails, paths and sky across fragrant alpine meadows you'll never run out of fresh challenges to go for.
The Haute-Savoie region has many jewels to explore whatever the season and this chalet is less than an hour from Geneva airport courtesy of a new section of the motorway that makes getting here a breeze. The bustling village of Saint-Jean-De-Sixt has everything you'll need - restaurants, bars, shops, ski hire - you name it. Chalet Bonnvie is situated in one of the most peaceful, untouched spots of the Thones/La Clusaz valley. It is the perfect blend of a cosy alpine chalet and a luxury holiday home. During the day we had all the fun of the local amenities and attractions only a few minutes away by car, and then in the evenings we could relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the beautiful mountain and forest scenery. We're going back in 2013 - thank you Clare and Eamon!

Stayed with 4 other very good friends and the only problem of the trip was who were the two to share the twin room. The owners have provided a beautitful home in which you can switch off from the rigors of day to day life. The Jacuzzi is a must after a long day on the slopes (especially when you think you are better than you are). The facilities are second to none including WiFi. Distance from La Clusaz and La Grand Bornand is measured in minutes. Our host recomended hire equipment from Oxygene Ski Hire just 3 min from the Chalet where we were looked after like members of the family including a very handsome discount.

We really enjoyed our weekend of skiing in La Clusaz. The weather was fantastic, we were skiing during the day, and relaxed in the chalet's jacuzzi in the afternoon. A skiing holiday and sun holiday in one.
Hope to be back again next year. -

We had a truly memorable holiday in Chalet Bonnevie. The standard of accommodation exceeded our expectations-it was really luxurious throughout the entire chalet. The hot tub on the balcony was an added bonus! It was spotlessly clean, and a real "home away from a home". We would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in this lovely region-there is so much to do in clos proximity: Annecy for sight seeing and lovely ambiance, La Cluzaz had great activities for the kids.

Chalet Bonnevie is the most comfortable and beautifully furnished holiday rental we have stayed in over the past 5 years, with the loveliest views. Ideal for anyone wanting a quiet time with activities on the doorstep ( we don't have kids but there were pools, a zip slide and other family friendly stuff very close by). Best of all for us, we could take lovely woodland walks from the chalet without getting in the car. Excellent access for Mont Blanc ( reserve places or you'll be waiting hours) and drives around stunning alpine scenery. A supermarket is very close by, and there are lots of shops in nearby La Clusaz. Excellent efficient service from the couple who look after the chalet, who provided precise directions and clearly keep the chalet very clean. The hot tub on the deck is very special - and what a relief to have really comfortable beds to retire to after a day walking. As someone with neck and back problems, this really matters. I can't recommend Chalet Bonnevie highly enough. It is lovely.

Splendide chalet tout confort, très joliment décoré et tout équipé, avec une vue imprenable sur les montagnes et un vrai champ de luge comme on en rêve !
Le chalet est à l'écart de la route, dans un coin retiré très calme, tout en étant à 5mn de la Clusaz et des commerces.
Idéal pour des vacances en famille et avec des amis.
L'accueil est chaleureux et le service impeccable. -

We stayed at the "Chalet Bonnevie" for two weeks (end of July/early aug 2010). Up to now we had always favoured the typical beach holiday and this was our first venture with summer in the alps and boy was it a fantastic revelation.The climate is so much more condusive to a family holiday. We found the chalet to be in an ideal location, with an abundance of facilities and ammenities nearby. We have so many lovely memories of swimming and boating in Lake annecy,visiting the glaciers in Chamonix (Mt Blanc) and the pool complex in nearby "Thon" was a real find. The chalet itself is superb. It has a traditional feel but with all the mod-cons, it is pure luxury and certainly has that X-factor that ensures you unwind and relax. All of the local villages and towns have an array of Restaurants and on the afternoon we arrived the tiny take-away pizza shop in St Jean de Sixt ( 5 min drive) proved a big hit with weary travellers (The Patisserie next door is regarded as the best in this region). We had breakfast most mornings on the deck and also barbequed there on several evenings. I would highly recommend the chalet and location without hesitation and as a family we look forward to doing it all again.
