Built in 2006, Villa La Couarde with a private swimming pool,has become a firm favourite amongst Wake Up in France holidaymakers. This vast, well equipped villa, situated, as the name suggests, at La Couarde on Ile de Re, provides excellent accommodation for 8 people with indoor and outdoor living given equal priority. Villa La Courde has featured in the National Press in January 2013.

Accommodation and facilities

With a private, heated swimming pool, in a lovely big garden and the beach only 150m away it would be hard to imagine a more ideal location for a family Ile de Re holiday.

Situated less than 10km from La Rochelle o...n the west coast of France, Ile de Re is connected to the mainland by an elegant 3kmtoll bridge. Ile de Re is made up of ten villages, where the traditional architecture of the region prevails.Cycle trackscriss-cross the island passing through vegetable gardens, pine forests, open meadows and marshlands to reach wonderful sandy beaches.

A wide range of water sports is on offer, such as sailing, fishing, surfing or kite-surfing, and you will find wonderful restaurants in every Ile de Re village.

The weather in Ile de Re is very reliable, usually warm and sunny; the island boasts a sunshine record more or less equal to the Côte d'Azur on the Mediterranean.

The centre of La Couarde is less than a mile away so it its quite possible, should you wish, to leave the car behind and explore on foot or by bike.

In the entrance of the house (7.50m²), there is a separate WC. The spacious main living room (53m²) is facing south and includes an American style kitchen, a dining and a lounge area.

The dining area has a table and chairs. The lounge area has a book shelf, a satellite TV, DVD player, sofas, armchairs, a coffee table and a fire place. The (13.70m²) kitchen area has an American style fridge, gas cooking hobs, electric oven, dish washer, micro wave and shelving.

There is a back kitchen of 3.20m². A large built in wardrobe is in the 13m² corridor.

Our Ile de Re villa La Couarde has 4 bedrooms.

Bedroom one (10.80m²) is facing south and has a set of bunk beds (80cm) and a built in wardrobe. Bedroom two (10.90m²) is facing south and has 2 single beds (90cm) and a built in wardrobe.

Bedroom three (10.70m²) is facing south and has a double bed (160cm) and a built in wardrobe. Accessible from the outside, bedroom four (11.10m²) is facing west and has a double bed (140cm). The bathroom (5.70m²) is facing west and has a bath, a hand basin and a washing machine.

There are 2 shower rooms, one of them with WC, and a third shower in the pool house.

The villa has a (22.50m²) garage, a pool house with WC, a third shower, hand basin and the pool's machinery.

The large garden area of 900m² is bordered by trees.

The swimming pool is 50m² and is surrounded by (171m²) terraces. It is protected by an electric cover. Nearby is a sheltered area used as a summer kitchen with a BBQ, a small fridge and comfortable seating. There are further 2 patios, with wooden decking. One of the patios is facing north-east and the other one facing north-west.

Villa La Couarde now has internet access.
