Los Altos, CA, United StatesGreat vacation rental
Left on 12/04/2012 for a stay in November 2012
This vacation rental had everything we needed for our stay. It's perfect for a small family. We came with our 10 month old baby. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. It was only a 5 min walk to the beach, and the private patio was great for our dog. The property is not that new, but well maintained. The bed is really big and comfortable. The only small thing they didn't have was a hairdryer. There's an excellent restaurant (The Promiscuous Fork), just a few steps from the property. I would definitely stay here again.

Burnaby, BC, CanadaA nice place close to everything in La Jolla
Left on 11/13/2012 for a stay in November 2012
My wife and I spent a week at this place. We really enjoyed it. We were looking for a place to rest. Do lots of reading and walking and this place did just that for us. It's an older place but it is like living in your first apartment and reminded both of us of that. The only challenge was this particular unit was on a lane and from time to time there was some noise. But the beach is about a 5 minute walk and the town center is about a 15 minute walk. We did have a car but wanted to get exercise while there.

Fountain Hills, AZ, United StatesGreat location, very clean
Left on 10/06/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The place was very clean and the location is excellent, beautiful street to stroll down to the beach, no major roads to cross. The restaurant behind it, called the Promiscuous Fork has great food and its super convenient.
The property is lacking personality, close to the feeling of a motel 6 room. Although it was absolutely spotless, the place lacks a lot of maintenance. It's really small but ok for a couple, there are no mirrors that you can use so getting ready is a challenge. The kitchen lacks some essentials like a chopping board and a few more things. Unfortunately the bedroom windows back to the alley and you can hear people searching the trash bins every morning at about 5:30... The trash bins are right outside the window, we didn't get bad smells, just a ton of flies. Since its upstairs it gets really hot during the summer months but starts to cool off at about 10 pm so you get some comfy sleep. No AC as most California properties. If you are planning just to sleep there is fine, but it is not a very comfortable place to stay with more than 2 people. The cleaning fee seemed pretty high as well as the pet fee compared to other rentals. It does have a nice private little patio with a grill and table. -
Surprise, AZ, United StatesToo hot in August or 80 plus degree
Left on 08/27/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Place was close to beach and clean. But for the money we paid you should not have to sweat when you come home. At night it did cool down enough to sleep, but daytime was to hot with one fan that worked and one fan that only worked on low. I own rentals and you think they could put a mirror above the sink in the bathroom for my wife and me. If you lean forward and turn your head to the left you have a bathroom mirror. Almost killed our self on the step coming down the stairs that slopes down. (fun when wet) Bathtub needs a mat as well be careful when stepping in and out. They need to put some money into a place collecting 1600.00 a week. I guess if you are a surfer this is your place. For us we will look for a place that at the very least the owner wants to take pride in his rental like we do. Show a little work done in the place and maybe it rents all the time.

We did experience an extremely hot few weeks in August which is very rare for our area, especially this close to the beach. While we can not control the weather, we have made the other requested improvements to this property including; adding a mirror above the sink, fixing the loose step, adding a bathtub mat, and other various touch-ups throughout. We appreciate this guests feedback so that we may improve the rental experience for future guests.

Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates453 Beach Cottage
Left on 08/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Great location for the Windandsea beach and a really nice neighbour.
However, the lane the cottage backs onto is very noisy so you need earplugs when the windows are open (during the summer months). I struggled to sleep well here as there are so many people in the lane at night.
The bed linen was not clean, there was a lot of pet fur in the sheets and setee however the cleaners revisited and fixed this problem with new linen and a thorough clean. -
Phoenix, AZ, United StatesNice location, but in need of some TLC
Left on 07/30/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The location of the rental is great but the overall condition of the unit is run down and in need of some overdue TLC (broken kitchen counter tiles, missing window screens, peeling paint, etc.) The pictures are a bit deceiving in that that unit looks bigger than it really is. They did allow us to bring our dog which was a plus.

Enjoyed the rental very much! Only issue is the mirror in bathroom very hard to get ready in. There needs to be a mirror over desk or somewhere so ppl can easily do makeup and hair. Rental was adorable and clean. Net stopped working several times during stay and was frustrating but they were quick to get it fixed. Our Pug, Mousse loved the private patio! Bed was sooooo amazing and comfy!!! Will be back!!

very convenient to everything. no view from the rental of the beach, on the back alley and was a bit noisy at times. property was clean, but looked a bit rundown. just a quick walk to the beach, did not know that the beach was rocky, had to go elsewhere for the kids to swim.

The landscape of Windansea Beach changes quite a bit during different times of the year. Sometimes it can be rocky and sometimes it can have a great amount of sand. You can always walk about 5 minutes to the south to find a sandy beach if Windansea is too rocky. We hope this information helps our future guests.

Left on 05/10/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We were visiting our son, who lived on Nautilus, one street over from 453 Westbourne. A short walk via the laneway was all that was needed for him to join us for breakfast and dinner each day. A great location with a short walk to the Windansea Beach, or a short drive to downtown La Jolla. Great keyless entry and lock-up system.

Left on 03/30/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We were very happy with our stay. It was in a perfect location to walk to the beach at the corner to have coffee in the morning and to see the sunset in the evening, or just a 10 minute drive to our other favorite area, Pacific Beach and Mission Bay. The rental is a little dated, but everything we expected was there, and working, and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again.

Left on 03/01/2012 for a stay in February 2012
While the property was clean and the management was responsive, overall there was a rundown feeling to the place. Windows didn't lock; blinds were in disrepair, the pilot lights went out and no matches were provided to relight them, which resulted in an unpleasant gas smell. The overstuffed couches were uncomfortable and depressing. The layout was inconvenient. The bathroom mirror had no catch and consequently got in our way. The exterior stairs felt spongy and dangerous. Great location, though.

Perfect for what we needed as it was close to shops, restaurants, and of course, Windansea Beach, which we loved. We also enjoyed some really nice BBQ's in the patio. Property was clean upon our arrival and we enjoyed how comfortable everything was.

Show Low, AZSo much better than a hotel!
Left on 11/07/2011 for a stay in October 2011
For the same price as a hotel in the area, we got a private patio for BBQ's, our own living room, a kitchen to cook our own meals (which saved us so much money!), and a very comfortable bed. In addition, we were walking distance to some great local restaurants and Windansea beach was just a few minute walk away as well. Thanks SeaBreeze for a great vacation at a great price. We can't wait to come back!

Charlotte, NCCompletely Unsatisfied...
Left on 10/22/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We felt that the pics on the website imply that it is a cleaner, larger and more modern home than it actually is. Being from the east coast, I would have liked to known that this property did not include an A/C unit. Due to the lack of an A/C unit, we were forced to sleep with the windows open and deal with a lot of outside noise(talking, skate boarding, traffic, garbage trucks etc...interupting most nights sleep). The cleanliness of this property was not to my standards and therefore caused me to clean the home myself. Overall, this property was presented on the website in a deceptive manner. We will definitely not rent this property or any other property from this management company in the future.

Tucson, AZFine but....
Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We really enjoyed our stay in La Jolla and being able to walk to Wind and Sea beach was the best. We also walked to "the village" for dinners and shopping.
The apartment was nicely furnished and very clean. Towels and linens were provided and the kitchen had most of the things you would need to prepare meals. However, you should definitely bring along a knife (the curved seafood knives are not the most utilitarian of implements). A cutting board would also be good.
We discovered some maintenance issues during our one week stay and the management was very quick to respond to poorly draining pipes and screens that had fallen off the windows, however, we didn't bother to report the rest because it was a pain to spend the afternoon with a plumber in the apartment. We also discovered the oven did not work which would have been a bigger deal if it weren't so hot that it would have been crazy to turn on an oven. A fan would be a nice amenity that you could bring with you.
The biggest disappointment had nothing to do with Sea Breeze or the actual apartment. This apartment is located on an alley and very close to the busy La Jolla Blvd. It was super loud- the windows didn't really block much noise and between the businesses using dumpsters constantly, sirens, and drunken people staggering out of the bar or liquor store we weren't able to get very good sleep (even with earplugs).
The noise was really the only thing that would make me think twice about this property. -
Morrpark, CAA little piece of heaven
Left on 06/19/2011 for a stay in June 2011
A little piece of heaven—for us and our dog! A block away from the magnificent Windandsea Beach, this neighborhood is very peaceful, welcoming and pet friendly. Then just a quick 10-minute walk is La Jolla Village, with a ton of luxury shopping and dining options. You're also minutes from the BIrd Rock neighborhood, full of charming boutiques, cafes and bistros.
The cottage was cozy but felt very roomy, lots of light, airy, with nice new comfy furniture and very well maintained. The private patio felt like a tropical sanctuary, exotic flowers and bamboo all around, perfect for enjoying drinks or a barbeque. We were equally as impressed with SeaBreeze and our property manager, who delivered top-notch customer service at every turn. All of our requests were handled quickly, efficiently and with a friendly attitude! It's rare to find that nowdays, so thank you to everyone at SeaBreeze for making us feel so welcomed and making sure our stay was nothing short of unforgettable!
I highly recommend this property and the management company to anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free getaway in one of the most beautiful oceanside towns in California! -
Denver, CONOT the quiet, peaceful "cottage" we expected!
Left on 06/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This rental was VERY disappointing! The bed was so old it slumped in the middle, the towels, furniture and bedding was very cheap!! We didn't get any information upon arrival regarding how to use things like the remote (which was missing), or the laundry (which had a coin box but didn't actually cost anything). There's a hole in the bathroom leading down below to the garage - which we weren't aware we'd be staying over a garage! We ended up calling the police the last night we were there because a group of guys were yelling and cussing outside the thin windows, then proceeded to start throwing things at the window! It was a HORRIBLE experience - especially with a baby! The work done there was very poor - peeling paint, incomplete finishings, etc. It's also right behind a liquor store, and on a main road, so it was loud and did not feel very safe. We heard sirens several times a day (and at night) - and they were very loud. Overall I would not recommend this rental - it is clearly not overseen by someone who would stay there themselves. The beach is a long block away, and of course it's beautiful, but it's not a sandy beach - therefore not great to bring a family.
