The Arenas Casita is a historic 1940 Spanish Colonial beach home, only three blocks to the semi-private Little Point Beach, five blocks to the world-famous Windansea Beach and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. This home has all the amenities you will need to enjoy a wonderful vacation at the beach.This home is located on the same property as the Arenas Villa (605 Arenas St.). Large groups can rent both homes together to create a combined total of 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeping space for up to 12 all on one property.The Arenas Casita is a relaxing and peaceful 2 bedroom, 1 bath home with a large living room, open floor plan wit...h hardwood floors throughout. The two beautifully decorated bedrooms have large closets, quality mattresses, luxury linens and pillows. The living room is fully equipped with a comfortable Pottery Barn couch, two leather club chairs, 37 inch flat screen HD television with free HBO, a dvd player and a desk area with wifi high speed internet access. In addition, there is a stereo with iPod connection CD player, and a telephone with free local and long distance service.The kitchen is complete with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. This home comes complete with all dishes, glassware, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, as well as all kitchen utensils and small appliances necessary to prepare any meal.The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with contemporary furnishings, luxury linens and a bold and fresh feel. This room has a top of the line quality king-size mattress, 27-inch cable television, walk in closet, and attaches to the bathroom. The second bedroom is beautifully decorated as well with a queen-size top o the line mattress, luxury linens, nightstands at both sides of the bed, full-size dresser, direct access to the patio, as well as a large closet and direct access to the bathroom. All linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, beach towels) are provided.The Arenas Casita has a sunny and quiet back patio shaded by bougainvilleas and fig tree. This space comes complete with an outdoor dining area, and gas BBQ.This home is a great place to spend your vacation and enjoy your stay in our beach neighborhood. The beach is only a short 3 block walk away and we provide a surf board, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, bicycles and wagon to carry everything with you so that you can better enjoy the area the way locals do. When you get back from a long day at the beach, this home also has a hot/cold outdoor shower for rinsing off.A full-size washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. There is a one car garage as well as off street parking for one additional car. In addition, you can order food and dairy products to be delivered to the home prior to your arrival.   The home we stayed in was well furnished and was clean and attractive. We enjoyed that part of our vacation. We left it in immaculate condition.
  
  In general, when we go to VRBO, we expect to be dealing with 'owners' not realtors. The part we did not enjoy was that instead of dealing with an individual, we were dealing with a realty company. We did not know up front that there would be a $1000 deposit.(We have not had to deposit that much money even when renting comparable or more expensive properties.) In addition, the agency was less than prompt in returning our deposit and needed several reminders. By contrast, our experiences with individual owners through VRBO has always been very positive. Both we and the owners enjoyed having a cordial exchange and transaction.
  Again, the house was great. What we did not like was the way we were treated by the realty company.

  We are surprised to hear this guest did not expect a realty company. We are a property management company that only offers services for vacation rentals. From the very beginning of our communication with every guest, we identify ourselves as a management company, not the owner. The signatures on our emails, the salutation when we answer the phone, the entity listed on the lease agreement, all clearly say we are a management company and not an individual owner.
  
  All security deposit information is listed clearly in our lease agreement, and nothing is collected prior to a renter signing the lease. So not knowing about the $1,000 deposit could have been resolved by reading the lease.
  
  Finally, the full deposit was refunded to this renter 2 weeks after departure. Our lease guarantees the refund will be sent back within 3 weeks of departure. We did not need reminders to refund the deposit, just the normal amount of time to process all the paperwork and get the check in the mail.
