The Birdrock Beach Home is a two bedroom, two bathroom home, located in the highly sought after community of Birdrock, La Jolla. Your will be just 9 blocks to the beach and have your own private front deck with 180 degree ocean views. The house has newly refinished hard wood floors, fresh custom paint in each room and all new luxury furnishings including a gourmet BBQ for those outdoor cookouts on the deck overlooking the local neighborhood and ocean sunsets.

The living room is light and airy and feels very tranquil with its coastal atmosphere and comfortable furnishings. There are sliding glass doors that open directly out to the fro...nt deck so you can feel the ocean breeze and listen to local birds singing and watch the amazing sunsets over the Pacific Ocean from the living room couches. The living room also offers a large screen television with DVD player, stereo system and faux fireplace. There are three beds in the home. High quality queen size beds with luxury linens located in each bedroom, and a queen size sofa sleeper couch is located in the living room. The kitchen at the center of this home is fully stocked with every item you will need to create any meal. The dining room has seating for the whole family and is located in between the kitchen and living room area which makes for great time spent with friends and family.

The large patio and professionally-landscaped yard space make this home a perfect vacation home for families and entertaining. The gourmet BBQ is ready and waiting for you to cook up a storm. The outdoor dining table seats six, so be prepared to enjoy the indoor/outdoor La Jolla lifestyle with friends and family after a long day at the beach.

There is high-speed internet access throughout the property for your laptop computer. We also provide adult size beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and a wagon to carry everything with you so that you can better enjoy the area the way locals do. For families with small children, we provide a high chair and pak-n-play crib. Upon request we can also provide additional baby items such as a full size crib, jogging stroller, bed rails, noise monitor, etc.

In addition, we offer full concierge services. You can order discounted attraction tickets, food and dairy products to be delivered to the home prior to your arrival. We can set dinner reservations or tee times for you, and we can help you with planning any other activity or special request you may have.

There are two off street parking spaces provided in the driveway of the home and ample parking on the street for any additional cars.This home has forced air heating but does not have air conditioning.

  I travel a lot for my work and I didn't want to stay in another hotel when I went on my vacation. Southern California Vacation Rentals had so many beautiful properties to choose from. My husband and I decided on the Birdrock Beach Home. It was perfect. Walking distance to the beach (beach towels, chairs, coolers, etc included with the rental which was very convenient) Easy parking. Beautifully and comfortably furnished. Also walking distance to cute shops and great restaurants, although we loved grilling our dinner and having cocktails while watching the sun set on the magnificent deck. Heather and her staff at Southern California Vacation Rentals couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. It was a fantastic vacation. We will definitely rent from them again.

  Great experience at Birdrock cottage!

  We really liked the home. It was clean, airy, had beautiful views and a great location -- very close to the beach as well as to downtown La Jolla. Especially liked the outside terrace with its amazing view of the beach. Only issue we had is the bedroom has a sunroof and it got very hot, and the airconditioning was not working when we were there. It couldn't be fixed because a part would take too long to order. However, the staff were very helpful in getting us a portable AC.

  We travel all around the world and have stayed in wonderful places. We were extremely disappointed with this rental:
  
  1. Upon arrival, the unit was littered with hair (we assumed it was cat hair) -- on the pillows and floor. My 10-month old, who is allergic to cats, developed a rash all over his face
  2. Heating system. I called the management office regarding this and it was not until we dug around for the plug did the system begin to work. The next day, the heat would not come on and we had to again call the office. Someone came to reset the power and the heater would proceed to make a
  loud sound after running for 30 mins.
  3. Lock on sliding door to deck. I was told that the lock was not operation and to use the wooden stick to "lock" the door. This is completely unacceptable. There is no sense of real security here as anyone can slide open and enter with enough force.
  4. Mildew/odor in second bedroom. We smelled a
  mildew odor in second bedroom. It was so suffocating, no one could step into the room much less sleep there and my mom ended up sleeping on the living room couch.
