The Spanish Hacienda is a beautifully decorated, custom two story home with tons of charm and character. This Spanish style 2900 square foot home is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, located in heart of La Jolla Shores, across the street form La Jolla's most famous and well known beach. If you are looking for La Jolla luxury at the beach then this is it!

Entering the property you will find the fully enclosed, beautifully landscaped private patio spaces, one on the front of the home and another in the back of the home off of the family room. Spend the morning enjoying the sun with a cup of coffee outside in the comfy and unique wrought iron furnitur...e or prepare a great barbeque feast on the gas grill and dine at the large granite outdoor dinning table. There is also a gas outdoor heater in the back patio to keep you warm while dinning outside if the evenings are cool.

The dinning room in the home is just off of the kitchen with seating for 6 – 8 people. It is perfect for family gatherings and includes French doors that open out the front courtyard and ocean breeze.

The Spanish Hacienda has a spacious gourmet kitchen with custom hand picked granite counter tops and tile, new stainless steel appliances and custom cabinets. This home comes complete with all dishes, glassware, utensils and small appliances necessary to prepare any meal. There is a breakfast bar off the kitchen that opens directly to the large family room with vaulted beam ceilings and plenty of space for everyone. Relax in comfy overstuffed couches, perfect for family game nights or taking in a movie. There is also additional seating in the family room as well as a custom wet bar with wine refrigerator, gas fireplace and large flat screen television with DVD/CD player and surround sound that can also be played in the outdoor courtyard. Open the double-hinged French doors out to the back courtyard and really experience the indoor/outdoor lifestyle of Southern California.

In addition to the family room, there is a formal living room with overstuffed leather couches, perfect for reading a great book or having quiet conversation while a move plays in the family room. There is a gas fireplace in this room and French doors that open out the front courtyard.

There are three bathrooms in the home. Two on the upper level and one on the lower level - all with custom tile work high-end fixtures.

The beautiful Master Suite has a king bed with luxury linens, beautiful ocean views, a full dresser with a flat screen wall mounted television that has full cable channels. There is also a huge walk in master closet and a beautifully decorated master bath which includes a full standing shower as well as a claw foot bathtub and separate his and hers sinks. The second bedroom across from the master suite has a queen size bed as well as a full size sofa bed for an additional guest. This room has large closets as well as a private balcony with ocean views and outdoor chairs to take in the sun. The third bedroom upstairs has a festive Spanish decor with two twin beds and a full size sofa bed for additional sleeping space. There is a large walk in closet as well as another private balcony that overlooks the outdoor courtyard. The fourth bedroom is the only bedroom on the ground floor. It has a queen bed with large walk-in closet and French doors that also open out the outdoor courtyard. All linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, beach towels) are provided.

There is high-speed internet access throughout the property for your laptop computer. We also provide adult size beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler so you can enjoy the area the way we locals do. For families with small children, we provide a high chair and pak-n-play crib. Upon request we can also provide additional baby items such as a full size crib, jogging stroller, bed rails, noise monitor, etc.Room DescriptionBedroom 1 has 1 King

  From the start, the experience was great. Property management greeted us and made certain we were all taken care of and that if anything was needed, they were here for us. In fact, the cable company internet went down one day, and they immediately took care of it, had someone out asap to fix it, and were there to meet them when they arrived.
  
  In a word, the home was fantastic. Great for the family environment we were looking for. Lay out was very nice as well, and worked perfectly for the families we had with us. Outdoor patio was not only gorgeous, but also enclosed for privacy and security. This acommodates not only families, but anyone I would assume. It was nice to know the kids could not accidently go out in the streets without us knowing. We took advantage of the nice grill out back and had a great meal outside. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were very comfy. I'm picky about mattresses, and these were nice. The kids' room was also great. All the kiddos stayed together and had a blast.
  
  In regards to the location, it worked very well for us. I assume most people choose a home with location in mind, but for us, it worked well. Close to the airport, close to the San Diego Zoo, and Sea World. These were the events for the kids. When adult time came, there were very a variety of nice restaurants to choose from. Not a huge bar scene if that's what you are looking for, but we found a couple nice spots to relax and have a drink.
  
  Overall, a great experience. Very relaxing, comfortable, and convenient. We have more recently been trying out the vacation rental homes vs the hotels, and we love it. Especially with a family. Much easier and truly less expensive when you have a home base with a full kitchen, and all the rest. I would definitely come back again, but for now, back to work!

  The Hacienda was clean, well laid out and a joy to stay in. It is in the best location- walking distance to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops. We really had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this Hacienda for a special time in San Diego.

  Beautiful home by the sea

  Our family had a wonderful stay at the Hacienda. This was a great house for a
  large group of people - with 7 adults and two young toddlers we had plenty of
  room to spread out as well as ample dining space. Despite the wet weather
  (the worst storms in SD in 15 years!) we enjoyed the proximity to the beach for
  walks and the great playground. There are nice restaurants within walking
  distance (Piatti Locali was a favourite) and lots to see and do within a short
  drive. The Hacienda was very comfortable, clean and well appointed.

  the perfect place

  we arrived expecting a nice spanish hasienda style home , but the house was perfect ; beautifully decorated warm and invited.. the rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were spa like.. we had a newborn with us and were able to walk a few blocks to shopping and restaurants. the beach was a stones throw away.. we loved the vacation..alice

  The location of this house was very close to the beach. A short walk away was
  worth the beautiful shores of La Jolla. The house was very spacious and
  accomodating. The outside patio provided a good atmosphere for BBQing.
  There was only two issues that I had with this house. The first is the annoying
  pipe noise that occurs everytime someone uses the bathroom/turns on the
  water. It work me up in the middle of the night. Second, is the detail cleaning
  that wasn't mentioned before renting the house. Picking up around the house
  is fine, but I didn't realize that scrubbing the grill was part of the deal. Overall,
  I enjoyed my stay there with a few nuances.

  Thank you for posting a review of The Spanish Hacienda. The pipe noise has been fixed. The issue was a leaky valve that was located and repaired by our handyman soon after you reported it to us.
  
  We are sorry you felt like we asked you to do a "detail cleaning" of the house upon check out. We simply ask that guests clean up after themselves which includes cleaning the grill with the grill brush if you used it. We never expected you to scrub down the whole house. We are just trying to make sure the house is ready for our cleaners when they arrive to scrub and clean and make the house ready for the next guests. Having the house picked up and ready for cleaning makes a huge difference and allows us to provide a later check out and earlier check in time for guests. We only have a short time frame between guests to clean and this house in particular is a big house. In addition, all our check out procedures are listed in the lease agreement which is signed when guests first mak a reservation. It is not something that is sprug on guests once they arrive.

  Wonderful place to make long lasting vacation memories with fami

  The layout of the home is superb. The ameneties are perfect for those who seek luxury, without ostentatiosnas. The outdoor patio is a vacation destination unto itself, more so when dining under the stars with a chill in the air, while the outdoor heaters are on.
  
  And what more could you ask for, having the beach only yards away and hearing the ocean waves hit the shore as you settle down for a wonderful nights sleep.
  
  Come here with friends or family and forget the everyday. You will always want to come back. This is what fond memories are made of.
