This unique 4 bedroom, 3 bath home sits right on the beach here in La Jolla. This is an exclusive home and is the only one available in the La Jolla area that is located directly on a swimming and surfing beach.

  We had a lovely time. La Jolla is a beautiful area and this house is in a great location. It's close to the beach and the village. It was very easy to travel from here to the Mcrd, Sea World and the Zoo. Walking to the beach every day was a real treat! The house is beautifully landscaped and in a great neighborhood.
  
  We had a few issues on our stay with the featured amenities. It was disappointing not to have the large jetted tub to enjoy and the stress of cleaning up the water leak that wasn't fully investigated prior to our arrival. They knew there was a leak but didn't test the tub. We found out the issue for them. The house had the gas grill which was great but didn't have any grill tools to better utilize it...I did make due with a set of short salad tongs but highly recommend a set of real grill tools for the next guests. There are also several light bulbs burned out in the ceiling (in the den, kitchen and bathroom. We did find bulbs and replaced the downstairs bathroom light ourselves. I told La Jolla Vacation Rentals that the ones in the kitchen may be electrical due to the upstairs tub water leak. Ou choice was to have them come check it out right then and potentially rip out the ceiling (who wants to deal with that on vacation?) or wait till we were gone so we had them wait. The ice maker was also broken and they only supplied two small ice trays, another item future guests may like to have fixed or more ice trays. I also told her the downstairs shower sprays right onto the floor, no way around it unless you get in and then turn on the shower. A different shower fixture would fix this. The Master king bed could use a more comfy mattress. Lastly, the house has fireplaces but no instruction on how to use them. On the site it says it's gas but no idea how to utilize it.
  
  Despite all these issues we had a great stay and I would recommend this place with these issues fixed. My primary disappointment was with La Jolla Vacation Rentals. They ignored all my requests for consideration becuase of the issues we had. No return phone call or return email. They simply ignored me and my suggestions. Not that I really expected anything becuase we did have a good time. Not replying to a customer's inquiry is just plain bad business and poor customer service. Hopefully they will consider this in the future.
