When we arrived I was very badly surprised, cause the house was far from what we spected. The inside was ok, but not so clean and the outside was terrible, completely damaged. I called the company and they really tried to fix it. They send another cleaner staff and put new cushions for the chais (cause they were completely damaged). This was ok, but I wont recomend this property, except with a very big service there before.

The house has wonderful views...but you hear the street noise all the way up from Torrey Pines blvd...if windows are open (which they were due to summer heat). The deck is terrific, but the neighbor next door throws a fit if you use it past 9:29! The furnishings are old, needs new beds, carpets, blinds & washer & dryer...BUT, its charming. we stayed over 3 weeks & it was very, very convenient and Tim from Seabreeze was exceptionally good at his job, helped whenever we needed , don't feed the 'pet' raccoon...he'll never stop coming back!

The house was in good condition, rooms clean but carpet is older. Lots of steps to get up to the front door. A small elevator that was not available to guests. Difficult for our 88 year old mother to make the hike up and down the stairs. The deck is up above the house and is only accessible until 9:30pm.

All was perfect - great place and location and view. Only downfall is the 9:30 shut down time (even on the weekend) for the hot tub. Even if you go in and don't say a word, a nosey neighbor just can't wait to tell you, and even when we were nice, said ok, and just got out, he called the management and complained.....he needs to get a life.

Great views and perfect for a nice getaway. The staff was extremely friendly and available with any of our concerns or needs. The hot tub was an awesome addition but, not being able to stay out past 9pm was a bummer. The neighbor was very crabby--- so watch out for him! Overall, great house and a great company :)

We really enjoyed our La Jolla vacation and this house. It has amazing ocean and sunset views from nearly every room as well as a huge deck with a hot tub that we enjoyed every night. The house offers a classic beach house feel which makes it welcoming and feel like we could relax and enjoy it. This was perfect for our group as we wanted to make sure to rent a home where we felt comfortable so we could enjoy our vacation.

Overall, this property is good value.The location is senstaional, with the best possible views over La Jolla.The large and well furnished terrace is a wonderful addition. However,the property is tired. It is in need of a thorough overhaul or even a re-build.
As a consequence, parts of the building are fairly dirty, other bits are just old. I would still recommend it at the price. If the house was in great condition it would rent out for much more. Renters, go for it, you won't be disappointed. Owners, spend the
money and you will get a much better return on this fantastic property. -

Watching the sun set off the deck every night was heaven. But beware - there is a cranky neighbor who called the owner repeatedly and started shining a very bright light onto the deck the minute we got into the hottub. We tried talking with him to no avail. He just yelled at us. Eventually the property manager was called out of bed by the owner and he came to the house. He had been told we were having a wild party (not true). At first he was annoyed, but when he realized the neighbor was lying he was very nice and apologized to us and we had no more problems the rest of our stay. However, we also stayed off the deck entirely after 9:00 so as not to make the situation worse with the neighbor. Just know that you will probably encounter this unhappy human being if you rent the house and use the deck at all (even if you turn off the jets of the hot tub and talk in a whisper).

The best thing about this property were the great views of the ocean, the fabulous hot tub, and the convenience to shops and restaurants. THe decor was old fashioned and rather worn, but the kitchen was functional and the layout was fine. The beds were terrible! I havent' been on a mattress that bad in a long time.
