Sunny and bright, comfortably decorated, this 2-level La Jolla Vacation home, complete with rooftop deck and gorgeous sunset views that overlook the marine blue Pacific Ocean. This coupled with the enclosed private courtyard patio and garden, will provide an ideal relaxing vacation for those that seek calm. Although the variety of sightseeing venues provided throughout San Diego might require a car, while you are in this home in La Jolla Village, a car is not necessary.

Both the beaches and La Jolla's famous shops and restaurants are within 3-4 blocks away. At the beaches you can explore the wonders of tide pools, watch the local seals... romp in the surf and laze on the shore. Or choose your own favorite spot to picnic and play in the water or sand.

Back at the house, you’ll find the kitchen has everything even the most experienced chef would need, with granite top counters, a cooking island, and an attached family room with fireplace, HDTV flat screen, and doors leading out to the back courtyard patio with dining and lounging furniture. Cozy sitting room, dining room and guest half-bath complete the first level for entertaining.

On the second floor is the Master bedroom with a custom-built California king size bed with 2 separate Sleep Comfort mattresses, fireplace, flat screen HDTV. An attached master bath with marble floor and counters, walk-in shower and Jacuzzi tub complete the master retreat. The sunny second bedroom faces the front of the house with ocean views and Queen bed. The middle guest room has a queen bed as well. The second full bathroom with shower/tub and twin sinks is down the hall across from a laundry closet with full-sized washer and dryer. The roof deck has a full sized platform “bed” and two large lifeguard chairs for lounging. There is also a one car garage with plenty of additional street parking. This is truly a fabulous and comfortably decorated ocean view La Jolla Village vacation rental.

Custom birdhouses, miniature citrus trees and a rose garden complete the aura of peaceful relaxation. All you have to do is come and enjoy!

  We had a lovely time on a much-needed getaway. This home is really homey and very comfortable. We would have needed three hotel rooms which would have cost more than this home...and there is no comparison to the added benefits and comfortability that we got here. Great location...excellent food choices literally 10 steps away. Excellent feature to have street parking in the front and a private garage in the back. Our contacts at the property mgmt company were very nice and accessible!

  Vanessa and her property management team were wonderful from start to finish .
  The house is a great location ,we love to walk and everything we wanted to do was in walking distance .
  The house is very nice, feels like home .
  very clean and for the most part well maintained.
  There is a nice courtyard in the backyard .Our son and daughter in law live in Lajolla ,we love that when we come visit they come over to the house and we can BBQ ,or i can make Sunday breakfast ,if we were at a hotel we would not be able to have the relaxed homey feel we do when we stay here .Lots of room .

  Almost perfect, except for some poor furnishing choices

  This is a great location if you want to have good access both to the beach and the town of La Jolla. Both restaurants and two grocery stores are a short walk away.
  The house is spacious, was clean, and despite being in an urban area was quiet. There was good street parking for a second car.
  Our only problem was some of the appliances and furnishings. The Dishwasher was awful, and the dryer could run for five or six hours and still not get our clothes dry. The toilets have to be plunged repeatedly. The bed in the master is a horribly uncomfortable adjustable air mattress thing and one of the other bedrooms has what is basically a mattress thrown on the floor. A house of this quality (and price!) should have better furnishings.

  We appreciate the feedback from this guest and since receiving this review have repaired both the dishwasher as well as the clothes dryer. We also sent a plumber who could not find any issues with the toilets.

  The area is fantastic! We could walk to everything...stores,coffee, Lajolla Cove/Caves, Beach, dining. The house was comfy and per friendly. The people in the neighborhood embraced us and made us feel so welcome. We loved the house and would definately want to come back! A+ :)

  Perfect La Jolla Location

  Our prime goal when we chose to rent this property was to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go within the La Jolla Village. We could not have been happier. It is the perfect location for accessing all the best parts of La Jolla on foot while staying clear of the tourists when you want some peace and quiet. The house itself we found to be comfortable and everything worked as it should. It does show its age a little, but it was what we needed for the time we were there.

  We stayed a week at this wonderful townhouse. The location was great and is walking distance to shopping, numerous restaurants, beaches (Windansea & Main Street), and The Cove. The property was nicely laid out -- great roof deck with ocean views. It had a nice patio complete with BBQ grill. We would definitely come back.

  The only thing I would have changed about your house rental is allowing your guest to change the thermostat. I understand you have had problems in the past but you can buy an electronic thermostat and program temperatures not to be exceeded.

  My husband, toddler, and newborn set up camp at this rental for 2 months. We pretty much parked the car and walked everywhere- grocery store, beach, cove, park, dinner, shops, etc. Really enjoyed the rental unit, especially the roof top deck- overall layout worked great for our family. My son loved making fresh lemonade from the lemons we picked in the back garden!

  We rented this unit for the month of January 2011. This rental unit came very well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. The location is only 2 blocks from tennis and very close to numerous restaurants and shopping. Tim and the maintenance staff were very responsive to our needs. Will definitely rent again.
