A two block stroll down to WindandSea beach for a delightful swim, a great surf or a sunset watch. A perfect location in a peaceful upscale neighborhood. Walk 4 blocks north to a fun Mexican restaurant or walk ¾ mile south to one of La Jolla’s best for dinner and dancing- Beaumonts. Downtown La Jolla is two miles away; an easy bike ride in for lunch or the famous Farmers Market on Sunday mornings.

This home is located only 2 blocks from the renowned Wind and Sea beach. The beach is a stroll away, just at the west end of Winnamar, with easy access to the sandy beach via a public sidewalk located between two ocean front homes that onl...y the locals know about. Offering a large comfortable living room, welcoming family room, a full formal dining room, eat in sunny kitchen with lovely marble counters, as well as patio dining and outdoor seating with a chiminea, La Jolla's version of an outdoor firepit. A single level home with two separate wings each having 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed, two bedrooms have trundle beds, and one bedroom has twin beds; sleeping 8 Guests comfortably. There is also a wonderful fully enclosed outdoor shower that is large enough to clean off surfboards and boogie boards as well as to shower outdoors privately under the stars or sun.

Come and experience the best of La Jolla close to a gorgeous beach that is quiet, accompanied by great waves and scenery. Enjoy a comfortable family home that is easy to have fun in and create lasting memories.

Restaurants close by include: Su Casa, Mandarin House, WindanSea Cafe, Busy Bee Bagels, and more. There is a 50 meter heated pool, the Coggan Aquatic Center available to the public for a fee, public tennis courts, a bike trail, and more close by. Bird Rock Surf offers bike rentals as well as surf board rentals. This home is located west of La Jolla Blvd. with no major streets to cross to get to the beach.

Outdoor Living at Its Best:

Enjoy the comfortable conversation area and outdoor dining in the large fully fenced in private patio and garden off the family room with the lush surrounding landscaping. The private courtyard features a propane barbeque grill, a couple of outdoor dining tables and comfortable seating for relaxing in the sun after a long day at the beach. The Mexican Chimenea is the La Jolla version of an outdoor fire pit. The beach is an easy stroll away, just at the west end of Winnamar, with easy access to the sandy beach via a public sidewalk located between two ocean front homes that only the locals know about.

La Jolla Shores Beach:

La Jolla Shores Beach is a family beach where you can stroll to the beach for long walks or to just bask in the sun in the afternoon. This sandy beach stretches for miles and has been voted "best Southern California Beach" The waves are the most gentle in the San Diego area and there is a wonderful playground at the beach, Kellogg Park which is perfect for small children.

Avenida de la Playa:

The Village in La Jolla Shores along Avenida de la Playa is about a 2 minute walk from our cottage and boasts some of the best restaurants found in La Jolla. Choose between world class dining at Piatti, Barbarella, Osteria Romantica or La Jolla landmark casual dining options such as Jeff's Burgers, and the Cheese Shop. There is also a great Mexican restaurant and a sushi restaurant. On Avenida de la Playa, you can also rent kayaks, scuba tanks, and snorkeling equipment. All the surf schools and surf camps are also located in the shores, so this is a convenient location for all your beach vacation activities.Read more

WindanSea Beach:
WindanSea is a family beach where you can stroll to the beach for long walks or to just bask in the sun in the afternoon. This sandy beach stretches from Winnamar to Fern Glen streets,for about a quarter mile. This beach is a famous surfing beach, but the swells are larger in the winter so this beach is also great for bookie boarding, board skimming and swimming or just basking in the sun and people watching. Stroll to the beach for sunsets, a La Jolla tradition for locals.
