This fifth floor condo was beautiful and spacious. The landlord provided all the basics necessary to make the stay convenient - little things that kind of add up if you have to go buy them for a one week stay - for example plastic wrap, baggies, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, basic spices like salt and pepper. She even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome present. I'm not much of a drinker but it was extremely thoughtful.
The most thoughtful item was a mexican cell phone to which you could buy/ add time to at the Telco? right there at the ferry dock. This made it possible to make cheap calls within mexico instead of using more costly time on an american cell phone.
The Paraiso Del Mar is on the mogete across the inlet from downtown La Paz. The condo association provides a water taxi at no charge to go back and forth from the condo to downtown LaPaz. Although this added about a 1/2 of travel time to a trip into town (water taxi traveled every 1/2 hour), I loved the crossing even in colder weather- I felt like I was getting out and doing something even if I was just going into La Paz for a cafe con leche or to pick up a few supplies or groceries!
The only inconvenience we experienced was our car. We traveled to other places on the Baja during our vacation so we had a car rental. It was about 50 minutes to drive around to the condo on land. The turn onto the dirt road leading to the property is unmarked. So on arrival, we spent 1.5 hours going back and forth and inquiring of locals on the highway before we found it. The road is at about mile marker 4.5. Although we could have parked in the Marina lot and taken the water taxi, that was about $24 a day ( $1 an hour). Since we we had some scuba gear, we didn't want to leave it in the car but it also seemed cumbersome to carry it back and forth. Also, although security was supposed to drive the mile or so unlock the gate to the property, we were only once successful in getting them to come promptly - the night of our arrival. Other times, it required a wait of at least 20 minutes once arriving at the gate -- we weren't successful in saying "meet us at the gate at 4pm" and its only because an owner or someone else with a key happened to come along that we got in when we did. Apart from the car/ gate problem - we loved our stay. -

The property and condo are lovely, the view from the condo is exquisite, the staff is wonderful. We watched dolphins swim past from our lanai as we enjoyed our morning coffee, took daily swims in the ocean just steps from the condo, explored the beach during long sunset walks ... it was just the peace and beauty we were looking for. Perfect!

My family of 4 loved this condo. It was very nice, clean, decorated beautifully, and a great location. The staff at the condos were very friendly and helpful. It was so much fun to ride the free bikes around and also the ferry to town was wonderful. We dont usually stay at the same place twice as there are so many places to explore, but this condo and esp. This particular unit is one well come back to.

This place was fantastic. For the price and the luxury of the condo, it felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel. Everything was perfect starting from the linens of the bedroom to the actual stay itself. There is so much to do here in La Paz. Each day we found something great to do. The fishing is great. We caught Mahi Mahi and Marlin. We also went scuba diving and saw sea turtles and dolphins. The town has many restaurants that are a must-see if you go. Great shopping and great place!
