CanadaA must when in Baja
Left on 09/21/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The Villa or the house is located whithin Costa Baja Resort in a sectios named Vistamar. The place is extremely well kept, an army of friendly gardeners, assistants and security staff do an outstanding job.
Concerning the house, Cyndy and Berny, who manage the place, are always attentive to whatever may be needed, they are very friendly and efficient.
The house is spacious, high end by all means, I stayed with my wife and all my kids, we all enjoyed very much Costa Baja nad our tours, but we enjoyed tons staying at this house, fully equipped, ready just to get in.
Costa Baja, is a splendid resort, the marinas are beautiful, the beach club is wonderfully located, the view from the pool is amazing, you would love it. Vistamar has its own spacious swimming pool,my kids just loved it, besides making use of the fitness facility and the impressive lobby which has a breathtaking view to the sea. If you are a nature lover, the whole place is an impressive blending of the desert with the Sea of Cortes, this shocking blend is a treat to your senses.
Costa Baja is 10 minute drive from peaceful La Paz, where you can fine places to eat and nearby you can take tours to many attractive places, awesome beaches, appealing towns like Todos Santos or intriguing wonders like Isla Espiritu Santo.
For a relaxing vacation, full of options of what to do at an extremely attractive place, do not hesitate, the house is great, the resort is very pleasent and the whole region is ther to explore and enjoy.

Thank you, thank you to our "hosts". Patrick, the owner and Cindy & Bernie, property manager were all wonderful.
The home is beautiful and was perfect for 2 couples. The murphy bed room isn't that well lit so it would work for a young child or if economics is top priority.
Perfectly equipped kitchen. We didn't do much cooking but we did make sure we had groceries for breakfast and snacks and it's nice to find all those little things: chips/dip bowl, cling wrap, tinfoil, spices, paper towel...yes - not needed but just such a treat to not have to do the whole "hmm, how many coffee filters do I need to make sure the salsa doesn't soak through".
Cindy and Bernie make sure there's fresh water there so you don't have to forage before you get unpacked - nice! Usually we stop at the grocery store right after we get our car but our arrival day didn't go quite as planned (who's does?) so it was wonderful to be able to come in, cool off and then say "right - what's next".
The Coasta Baja pool club is open to Vista Mar guests but we quickly learned just as nice, and more private, to pack small cooler and make the 1 minute walk to the Vista Mar complex pool which is beautiful! We ate at the resort 2 nights and in town 2 nights (1st night was ham sandwiches – see note about day 1 not going quite as planned - LOL). All our meals were fantastic and totally different. Azul at CB, and the Italian place (name?) were both top notch. In town Tres Virgenes is a must visit as is El Zarape. See my reviews for each, too lazy to recap ?
Hope you stay at Pat’s next time you’re in La Paz – you will not be disappointed. -

Redwood City, CaliforniaExcellent place to stay

My friends and I have been going down to La Paz for years for our "annual guys trip". We fish, dive and golf every time we go down. We have always stayed in town in small hotels, and we were a bit doubtful about staying "outside" of town. Well...no more doubt. This place was great. First class all the way. Pat and Holly have created a great vacation home. Extremely comfortable rooms, great living room area with flat screen TVs, internet connection, fully stocked kitchen, 3 bathrooms, great outdoor deck for relaxing. I can't say enough about this place. The Costa Baja resort also has great restaurants and a beach club that you can just walked down to, not to mention an amazing golf course. For diving, you have Fun Baja diving outfit at the resort. Just walk down to the main area. For fishing, you can just get picked up at the Costa Baja Marina...again, just walk down. Want to go to town? The resort has cabs and a shuttle available for you, and you are at the Malecon in just 5 minutes. Our trips to La Paz have always been a "guys trip" but after staying in Pat and Holly's place we found ourselves discussing bringing our families down next year. I highly recommned staying here. Good for families and couples looking to relax, or folks looking to have an action packed vacation. Pat and Holly were extremely helpful throughout the planning and our stay. A big thank you to both for making this year's trip to La Paz a memorable one. If you are looking for a plance to stay in La Paz...look no further. This place was excellent!
