Beautiful, quiet, and safe beach location just south of Santa Cruz (near Seascape Resort and Manresa State Beach). This unit has three levels with a bedroom on each level plus space to spread out. With wonderful views of the ocean we were able to see dolphins, seals. otters, and various birds from the unit. The hot tub is on the top level with convenient access from one of the bedrooms or the sitting area. A little hiccup with the hot tub in that it was sandy and tinged green when we arrived. The beach is great and we left all our gear and a tent on the beach undisturbed the entire week. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils/pots/pans/etc. Overall an excellent stay and we will be back again!!!

We absolutely loved Captain's Cove. The look of the house is so unique. It is right on the beach which was what we wanted. We were able to sleep to the roar of the waves, have a fire on the beach and see dolphins swim by each day. The uniqueness of the house including being made of wood, the bathtub downstairs that you have to climb up to get to, a hottub overlooking the ocean and the spiral staircase made our stay like nothing we have ever done before. The beds in the house were so comfortable that it was hard to get out of them each morning. This house was so relaxing. I didn't want to leave. The only things I would have changed were to have a shower upstairs instead of just a tub and the alarm on the door to the hottub was very annoying. The check-in/ check-out process was very easy. Thank you so much for sharing this house with us. We can't wait to visit again.

The house has an amazing view, it is pretty big. Only problem was that it was supposed to be for 8 and we found only 3 bedrooms

This was our 2nd visit to 'Captain's Cove' The location is fabulous, right on Manresa Beach. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. The place would be perfect, except that there is no internet access. We would love to come back in the summer for a weeks stay, but without internet and being self-employed, this would be impossible. Other than this, we loved this house!

Excellent beach location with a great family beach. Much better than "The aquarius" where we stayed 1 month ago. Decor is a definite step above "Aquarius" as well. A little removed from Santa Cruz downtown, but that is exactly what we were looking for. Great views to watch dolphins playing in the surf while sitting in the hot tub. Although this is a condo and we had renters on either side, we did not hear them once during our entire stay. Very private feeling both inside and out. We left our doors wide open on 2 of the three levels the entire stay to let in the sea breezes and sounds of the waves. With three levels, this is a great location for a multiple adult getaway. With just my wife and I, we had more space than was needed. If you are looking for a great beach front location, I would recommend this completely.

From the moment you walk in the door your spirits are lifted by the sounds and the smells of the ocean. The layout of this condo is comfortable and makes you feel at home. (the other condos I have been in seem more like a hotel or dorm) I was impressed that this condo was actually on the beach. So many times a hotel has claimed to be steps from the beach but they are not. I loved the large windows with unobstructed views of the ocean. The hot tub was the perfect place to see the beautiful sunsets. With a bedroom on every floor, everyone had their own space. I just can't say enough about it and can't wait to come back!!!

great house to stay in. we love being right on the beach. it's not a fancy house, so we felt we could actually relax there. the hot tub and sauna were great. we did not know the hot tub would not turn off in time for us to leave....it's on some sort of temperature timer. so, we were unable to clean it out and will most likey be charged for that. that is unfortunate. overall, it was a fantastic house.

We are glad that you felt comfortable and relaxed and enjoyed everything! No charge for anything with the hot tub so I don't know where you wer thinking this. Everything was fine when you left the hot tub just runs on a timer to keep it clean. Hope to see you again in the future.

The location and view was awesome . My family and another family stayed here for a mini vacation. The house is REALLY different. Needs a little updating, but we had a great time. We thought that the size of the oven (stove) should be told that it is a very small. The dining room table was very unstable. Other than a few little things all was ok.

The home is in a great location. Access to the beach is easy and perfect. The beach is incredible and private to enjoy your family without the hassle of crowds.
