This has been the best vacation in Santa Cruz area! This place is away from it all! Beatuiful ocean right out the door! We are going to start planning for next year! One draw back alot of stairs , but we needed the excerise!

My overall impression for my vacation with my 2 children and 2 grandchildren for this rental is "Who's doing the quality check?" I spent extra money for this particular unit because of the way in which the rental was originally presented to me. It fell way short of our actual experience.
What I intially noticed on going to the downstairs bedrooms was that the twin beds looked somewhat haphazard in the way in which they had been made and had different comforters than what I saw...and then going into the master room, the gold bedspread had a reddish stain on it. My first thought was "This is not the way in which I remember it."
Here are the other things that unfolded througout the week. 1) All the lightbulbs in the ceiling fan were burned out 2) the hallway ceiling light was out as well 3) a lamp bulb in the twin downstairs room was out 4) bathroom fan wasn't working in the downstairs bathroom 5) the bar-b-que pit had not been cleaned 6) mattress in the upstairs bedroom was obviously sunken 7) clean dishes were left in the dishwasher 8)pipe was slowly leaking under the kitchen sink 9) in the upstairs bathroom there was a handwritten note alerting management or the owner that the night light in the wall was cracking the paint...tossed into a drawer along with the night light and bulb.
I didn't want to spend our vacation having maintenance running in and out, and so elected to overlook the minors. The majors needed attention...leaking pipe and the bed..., and they were handled...but my daughter slept on the couch until the new mattress could come...3 days later.
Too much money for what it actually offered us. Who does the quality check?

We are very sorry that this all happened! The BBQ was just replaced so it should of been clean and new. We reponded to all your issues when we knew about them and fixed the problems for you immediately. We ordered a new bed and had it delivered the next day. If we don't know we can't fix them. I agree that this should of all been checked before your arrival and will speak to that person immediately. We strive to be the best and this was not the best of us and again we apologize. This was a wonderful Thanksgiving getaway for my Mom, brother, and myself. The location is ideal and the view is amazing. The only problem was that the heater didn't work properly. Two space heaters were brought to us right away but the heater was never fixed as promised. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation. We especially appreciated the great wifi access.

This was the perfect getaway for our family. Being so close to the beach was perfect and there was plenty of space for all of us. The only thing it was lacking was forks...for a group of our size we needed a few more to last through the day but everything else was great.

The rental was not well stocked with the basics. For example, no plastic trash bags (we bought some to use for trash. There was very little dish soap left to wash dishes. There was the bottom of a small glass in the garbage disposal. The disposal was not working and i decided to investigate and found the glass. We fixed the disposal so it was working for the rest of our stay. We didn't have any extra toilet paper (had to buy some). Overall, I was surprised the place was not better stocked with basics. Doubt we would rent it again.

As always, the homes were well kept and completely enjoyable to stay in, the access and views of the beach and ocean could not be better. We only had troubl ewith the gate codes and instructions, which never seem to be explained fully, and never worked for us all weekend.

We enjoyed our stay but for a couple of things. Just the upstairs bedroom
could use a chest of some kind to put clothes. No where to hang of put
anything away. And maybe a fan up there for air circulation. Other than that
it is a very nice place. -

This is a wonderful oceanfront beach house. If you are looking for the sand at your back door and the sounds of crashing waves visible and audible from the home, then this is your place.The home is very nicely furnished and large comfortable beds await you. You have plenty of off street parking directly in front of the unit and your own personal stairwell to the beach in the back.The home is 3 levels and offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths along with a laundry area. There is a large deck off the main living area (middle level) for you to sit and watch the ocean and sip a glass of wine. We had a great time during our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. The only concern you should consider is the fact that it is 3 levels and lots of stair climbing up and down. There is no bathroom on the main level so this would require the stairs. The kitchen is on the smaller side but very functional, we had no problems. This is a great place to stay.
