The location is great to access Cinque Terre. Shops and restauraunts were under us (very handy). Host was extremely helpful and provided us with excellent local knowledge (re: walks and eateries). Highly recommend this one bedroom apartment. It was clean, comfortable & had a fully equiped kitchen. La Spezia was a delightful surprise.

We loved our stay at La Spezia. The owners of the restaurant/bar below our flat were so friendly. They were a good part of our holiday. The flat was well furnished and clean. However my wife had to request an iron/board which was provided with some reluctance. There was no kettle or electric jug and to prepare a cup of tea we had to use pans on a gas stove. There was no washing machine and there was no change of towels/linen over our eight days stay. There was no laundrymat that we could find. We had no idea where the supermarkets were and there was no information on nearby restaurants. The hostess was nice enough but was in too much of a hurry to get away when she at last visited us, and lots of our questions were left unanswered.
We were informed that power was expensive and could we please be careful and she was keen on contacting us by texting rather than talking on the phone. -

LaSpezia is located a short train ride to many places in the area of. Cinque Terra, Lucca, Pisa. You are located in the heart of LaSpezia about a 10 minute walk from the station. Patrizia and andrea are gracious hosts ( check out their B&B; in Volastra ). Our train arrived at 9 p.m. on a Friday and we were met at the station. The 2 bedroom apartment is spacious, clean and attractively appointed. Andrea steered us to Nuovo Spezia, restaurant owned by a friend of his where we had a fantastic meal and were treated fantastically. We hope to stay there again when we are in the area.

We stayed in a 2 room apartment for 6 days.
It was very modern, spacious, clean and comfortable.
This combined with the central location ( in particular railway station, harbour
and open market) made for a most enjoyable stay. -

We loved the apartment which was clean, comfortable and well located right in town above a lovely cafe, and near plenty of shops and restaurants. We were able to access trains to visit crowded tourist areas such as CinqueTerre, while avoiding the difficulties of driving and parking. La Spezia was a respite from the congestion, and has its own museums and points of interest, including a wonderful outdoor marketplace. Patrizia is fully fluent in English, and a very helpful and gracious hostess. We hope to return soon.

We stayed at 'La Giara del Centro' in la Spezia for 4 days, on June 2011, with all family ( 2 adults and 2 children ) and we lived a very beautiful and relaxing holiday. The apartment is in a old historical building and is very comfortable and clean, like at home; Patrizia and his houseband were kindly and they came to meet us. You can walk along main street under the apartment and make shopping and have lunch and dinner in typical restaurants; it's easy take train for trekking in Cinque Terre or boat on the sea. It was a nice holiday !

Furulund, SwedenThe best choise of flat in La Spezia
Left on 02/12/2012 for a stay in October 2011
La Giara is a very fresh, comfortable, newly renovated flat with everything you need. One of my favourites. Every time I go to Liguria I stay here a couple of nights.
The flat is situated in the walking area so there are hardly no traffic. The bar downstairs is ready to serve breakfast if you don“t want to prepare it yourself.
If you are looking for a place to stay to discover Cinque Terre but want to stay in town I highly recommmened this flat. The friendly and gently owner is a just a call away and is always ready to help and give you support. Just ask!
About 7-8 minutes away you find the railway-station which will take you to the 5Terre within a couple of minutes. The boats to Portovenere and 5Terrethe are also 7-8 minutes away. Another choise is going by bus to Portovenere or to the Golf of Poetry (Lerici). You will find the bus-stop just a few minutes away.
The flat has a fantastic big bedroom and a kitchen, with an extra bed, is fresh and big enough for a family of four. Here you find all the facilities you need to prepare your own food. The bath-room is fantastic with a lot of space and and all the facilities you need.
Just two blocks away you find the market-place where you can buy fresh fish, fruit and vegetables six days a week. This is my favourite place!!!

Lismore, AustraliaAn awesome location and a great experience!
Left on 02/11/2012 for a stay in September 2011
In September 2011 we had a great stay in this apartment in La Spezia. The location was superb, right in the middle of town and close to the train station. We had a hire car and for a small fee were also provided with a car parking space. The apartment was well appointed and had a lovely outlook over one of La Specia's main streets. The owner's looked after us well with advice and directions. We loved La Spezia's unique location which was handy to the Cinque Terra as well as La Spezia itself being a beautiful place located on the harbour. The whole experience both with the apartment and the location was excellent. We hope to return one day!
