Enjoy a lazy lunch, cocktails and dinner at the luxury 5 star Villa D'este or mix with the locals at one of the superb pizzerias or near by trattorias serving local speciailities from lake fish to home made fresh pasta. Hire a boat and take to the lake, visit a villa, explore the stylish boutiques in near by Cernobbio or just unwind on the balcony, garden, take a dip in the pool or rustle up a feast in the contemporary kitchen.

The property here in Laglio is quite unique as holiday homes so close to Como and all amenities are difficult to find especially to this high standard.

For lovers of style and celebrity, as well as the forementioned Villa D'este, the famous 5 star retreat of the rich and famous and Gatto Nero stylish lake view ristorante are both only a short drive from the home! With neighbours such as George Clooney you never know to whom you may bump into!

The apartment has been lovingly appointed with wonderful lake views inside or out.

The living room features a spacious, luxury sofa, dining for 4 guests plus widescreen tv or just sit back and take in the lake view from the living room or soak up the sun on your private balcony or garden.

The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 guests, two bedrooms with ample wardrobe space (double and twin)

Both bathrooms, 1 of which is en suite from the master double bedroom, have been designed to an excellent standard with quality tiles. One offers a contemporary shower and the other a bathroom suite.Choose from a relaxing candlelit bath of an evening time or invigorating power shower of a morning time!

The kitchen has been stylishly designed and boasts every mod con including dishwasher and washing machine. Internet wifi access available via mobile key if pre-booked. 25 euros per week.

There are some steps to the apartment from the lake road, approximately 2 minutes walk which may deem the property unsuitable for elderly or infirm clients. The apartment itself is on one level.

  Fantastic apartment in the perfect spot on Lake Como. Clean, Modern apartment with all life's luxuries with breathtaking views of the lake. Swimming pool was great and the two small private gardens owned by the apartment were perfect.

  The beauty of Laglio

  We've spent the whole winter period in the Laglio garden apartment, and the peace, beauty of the nature, perfectly fresh air give us a marvelous experience for our hole life. Here you can always find new activities - walking, running, riding a bike, sailing, rowing, renting a boat, skiing...
  
  We've got fast and flexible service, any of our requests - even the specials ones - was accepted. The apartment is really nice, sunny, the terrace can also be used in the winter period. The apartment has a good layout, so 4 persons can stay here comfortable.
  
  I don't like the fridge (icy) and that the trays of the oven was terribly dirty.

  Many thanks for reviewing the home, glad you enjoyed winter in Como.
  
  The freezer compartment of the fridge can get frozen quickly if turned up to the maximum level, as explained on arrival, so always best not to set the gauge to the highest leve.
  
  Sorry the oven was not cleaned to the high standards we set.
  Cinzia, the home manager, inspects the cleaning meticuosly between each visit and i am called down immediately when this was flagged to us.

  Our stay was wonderful. We visted many of the villages on the lake as well as Milan. The Italian people are very gracious and enjoy helping americans with their Italian.

  The apartment was fantastic, it had mostly everything we needed in it. We were also lucky in that no-one else in the other apartments used the pool so the kids had it to themselves which they loved.
  However, the down side for my partner was the lack of internet it was extremely slow when he did eventually get onto it and was constantly timing out. If we had known it was that bad then i wouldn't have rented the apartment as i my other half has to have internet due to the nature of his business. They did say there was a wine bar 10mins away that we could use which wasn't any use as part of going away is to still back and relax with drink so pointless when he would have to drive.
  Anyway, the manger's were very helpful and apart from the lack of internet connection couldn't fault the apartment or the location.

  Many thanks for your feedback, glad you enjoyed your stay. We do offer internet keys for wireless connection if prebooked ahead of stay.
  You can use the keys in the home and around the lake rather than relying on your blackberry as phone signal is poor i agree!

  The apartment was modern, clean and very comfortable and the views over Lake Como were spectacular. Having breakfast outside in the private garden was idyllic as were the evening views of Lake Como from the outside veranda. The agency staff were very helpful and advised on places to vist in the area. Not much in Laglio itself (apart from George Clooney's villa) - so a car is essential.

  Highly recommended modern apartment in a great location although make sure you are fit enough to climb lots of cobbled steps to reach it.
  Would definately return if funds allowed. We drove from the UK and it was fantastic that we could park our car in a secure underground car park as part of the rental.
  Also make sure you get any food supplies in as soon as possible as the shops are not open as frequently as the UK.
  Difficult to criticise but it would be nice if a broadband connection was included in the rental and it would've been great to be able to view some UK channels on the TV which was not possible.

  Enjoy all the pleasures of Lake Como

  We had a wonderful time on Lake Como this summer. The flat had a beautiful view and we enjoyed the swimming pool every afternoon with the kids. It is just the stairs to access that are a bit steep ! Laglio situation was quite central to the lake. We easily took the ferry from Lenno to discover the lovely cities of Varenna and Bellagio. We rented a boat in Cernobbio and had great fun boating on the lake.

  I still think of your apartment on Lake Como and spent an idyllic time sitting on the balcony watching the comings and goings on the lake and realising how central the lake is to life in the area. The apartment was beautiful and in an ideal position – although, because of the many steps leading up to it, it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility problems (or even for those with very heavy suitcases!).
