The apartment is based in the heart of Laglio close to the lake enjoying wonderful panoramic lake views.
The village enjoys an enviable location on the lower western shore of the lake situated just 10 minutes drive from Como City and only 45 minutes drive from Malpensa airport in Milan.
Laglio is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere, being one of the few villages here situated off the main lake road with the quieter lower lake road given you access around the lake as well as the ferry and bus service.
The apartment is surrounded by period villas frequented by local, wealthy milanese (on the weekend) and the lakes most famous resident,Geoge Clooney who owns the Villa Oleandra seen from your penthouse home and just a 5 minutes walk! The village benefits from a number of first class restaurants, bars frequented by the villagers,local stores inc mini markets (fresh bread and pasta), salumeria(fresh local meats) heralding a by gone age! The pace of life is virtually at a stand still and provides the perfect desitnation to re-charge one's batteries. Add to the mix pretty walks with breathtaking lake views and Laglio will no doubt delight and relax you with the slow, simplistic lifestyle in equal measure.The upmarket village of Cernobbio is only a short drive away with various boutiques, bars and restaurants. A ahingle beach can be found in Argegno (10 mins drive), golden sand man-made beach (20 mins drive), Milan (for shopping and football) 45 mins, Golf in Como (20 mins), Switzerland (designer outlet, Lake Lugano, san Mortitz) are all easily reachable from your home as the swiss boarder is only 20 mins by car. Villa D'este, one of the most regal and picturesque hotels in europe is just a short drive away which makes for a magical setting for high class dining whilst the Gato Nero restaurant, a favourite celebrity haunt, perched above Cernobbio is renowned for it's truffle risotto as well as stylish interior and breathtaking lake views.

  The first thing we noticed about our holiday was the most amazing view from our penthouse apartment. It was incredible looking out onto beautiful lake como and we never tired of the breathtaking view. The apartment had everything we needed. There was plenty of space and being at the top of the building we had a wrap around balcony with a huge patio area at the back with BBQ, seating, sunbeds. The pool was lovely and a perfect size for the amount of apartments using it. Quite often we had the pool to ourselves, but the children also had the opportunity to play in the pool with the other children who came and went. Although we had to go down steps to the ground floor for the pool, it was not a problem as there was our own cupboard down there which housed plenty of sunbeds if needed. A great advantage to our apartment was the air conditioning which we regularly used and which came in very handy, particularly at night time. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. There were plenty of leaflets and maps of the local area to make it easy for us to explore. We particularly loved visiting Como City which was only a 15 minute drive away. We thoroughly recommend staying in this apartment, it was one of the best holidays we have experienced and will definitely visit there again. Thanks.

  We were delighted staying here. The penthouse locatin meant we had the best of both worlds-sun or shade all day long. The balcomy overlooks the lake-waking in the morning and opening the shutters was like looking out at a cinema screen the view is awesome. At the rear are two large double sun beds and a great dining area-we especially enjoyed the lazy susan table just right for sharing all that anitpasto!
  
  It is however a long climb from the road-122 steep steps so tough on arrival with heavy bags and then with shopping.
  
  Laglio is small and pretty quiet-but walk to your left and there are 3 decent restaurant/bars.
  
  Updating the appartment informatin book woudl be useful-map of local restaurants and shops (great butchers just below the appartment with local cheeses and salami)

  Our family consisting of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 4 and 5) had a wonderful time in Laglio. The Penthouse was lovely, spacious and contained everything you could need for your stay. The kids were very happy and loved the pool.
  
  We were met at the door and assisted on arrival and again throughout our stay with bookings for dinner and boat rental. There are little stores near by for basic groceries and a big supermarket about 10 to 15 mins drive away.
  
  I cannot recommend it highly enough. We loved it and hope to visit again for longer!

  My wife, my brother,sister-in-law and I stayed on the top level of an apartment villa called Laglio Penthouse Paradise in the quaint town of Laglio overlooking Lake Como.
  Simply all marks are "excellent". There wasn't a missed beat during our entire stay. Everything promised was just as delivered.
  There was a myriad of activities within easy reach; and, the sights and small town attractions were incomparable; and, we have travelled throughout Italy and much of Europe.
  Italian friendliness was at its best which futher enhanced the excitement of our palates as we tasted food speciality after food specialty. The selection of wines from the small osteria and trattoria to Villa D'este was reason enough to return as soon as we can.
  We can recommend this pentlhouse living and the tour group which led us to it without any reservation.
