This hideaway is intimate and cozy, featuring sky blue walls of Venetian plaster with a revolving art collection from local galleries. Thank you for the generous opportunity to stay at The Retreat. My husband and I had a wonderful time relaxing in your beautiful villa. The timing was perfect as we both celebrated our birthdays this month. I couldn't ask for a nicer gift. Maureen is so wonderful, she made us feel right at home! I highly recommend The Retreat as a great get away, you have access to everything you need within walking distance and you will walk away with memories that will last a life time. :)

I highly recommend the Retreat in Laguna. The setting is just beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. One of the best experiences I have ever had.

I used to live in Laguna Beach so I naturally have a love for the town. The Retreat is located in the heart of the Village just off of the beach. You can walk to most anything. The DaVinci room has a good view of the ocean and is a little more private that some of the other villas. We were a little disappointed upon check in as no one prepared us for the fact that the air conditioning was broken. Typically you do not need a/c in Laguna Beach except for about 2 weeks out of the year and it just happended to occur during our stay. We were told multiple times that it would be fixed with a day or two and it was still not working when we checked out a week later. There was also some silverware and dishes that had not been properly cleaned. Aside from those two issues, it was a nice place to stay and I would otherwise recommend it.

Spent 5 days here in January for my wife's B-day. 3 and 14 year olds came, too. The sofa pulls out into a nice bed(no bar running along your back). One-way glass from the bedroom added much needed privacy. Gourmet Kitchen and ocean view was incredible. Great location to walk the Downtown Laguna area.

You get the feeling, "Am I really here? or am I dreaming?". This property & staff make you feel like you are at your own home.
The luxury of everything about it is wonderful...
Cleanliness 5+ Quality of Sheets, towels, & extras were incredible...
Can't wait to be able to go back again next year...

Not only was the view spectacular, the sound of the surf soothing inside and out on our private balcony, but the whole experience 5 star! The service given by Maureen and Deanna was far above the norm. They are an important part of the wonderful experience at The Retreat. The floor plan offers the outstanding view from every area. The unit was immaculate, and the welcome bowl lots of goodies plus a bottle of wine. The location is near many fine restaurants.

Staying at the Retreat was simply fabulous! Great views, the sound of the water at night, and only a few flights of stairs to the beach with all the beach supplies one could ever need. The staff was extremely attentive and warm, and my every request was quickly responded to. The 4th of July fireworks from the fabulous deck were sublime. I only have one suggestion -- needed more storage for clothes, as we were there for two weeks. I highly recommend the Retreat and will most certainly return to this magical place!

We looked forward to our stay at The Retreat, and it was everything we hoped- for and more. The view of the ocean, the peaceful sound of the waves, the delight in watching the whales an dolphins, and the magnificent sunsets are all our memories of a wonderful stay. We had worked through a very busy time and the stay was a great reward for a lot of hard work - and a great reward it was!
The people at The Retreat were very friendly and helpful.

Superlatives abound at The Retreat in Laguna Beach.
The suite was carefully appointed with a super comfortable bed, sound system and kitchen/bath amenities.
Of course it's the location that sets it apart if you want breathtaking ocean vistas with dolphin and pelican shows every day and unforgettable sunsets in the evening.
Our son was with us and we enjoyed watching him shred the incredible waves right in front of The Retreat.
For us our days were spent exploring the tidepools on long peaceful walks with no crowds or blaring music to spoil the moments.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in sharing tips on local eateries like Nick's. Pricing was affordable, parking was always available and we even hosted a small gathering for friends who were also visiting Laguna (they wanted to get together at our place for the beachfront sunset views).
Our stay was simply one of the best times we have had in more than 30 years of vacationing along the California coast.
