There is also a refundable damage/excess cleaning deposit of $500 which is refunded after inspection by our cleaning staff usually within 5-7 days.
The Whaler charges a parking fee of $12 per night if you have a car.

A must stay condo on west Maui.I highly recommend unit 1252.This location has the best sunset views and whale watching from the island.
It is nice and clean and well taken care of.It will leave an impression on you that you will not forget.Dealing with the owners was easy and enjoyable.We will be back!

I've stayed on every island several times and stayed at most of the hotels for conventions, etc. And I've rented this unit many times for vacation, usually with another couple or friends as guests, and no one is ever disappointed. Truly one of the best locations and views not just on Maui, but in Hawaii. With the other resorts that are all walkable from The Whaler, and with the nearby shopping village, once we get settled in, often we never see the car until it's time to go back to the airport.

Stayed at the Whaler 1252 from 02/18-02/25/2012. Could have stayed forever. The view of the whales, sunset, mountains and beach was second to none. The condo was nicer than my house at home. New bathrooms, very large bedrooms, updated kitchen and the living room with a view to die for.
The Whaler had a very nice pool, adequate parking, and was so close to the beach that I could have jumped from my balcony to the beach. The staff was great and the Whaler was very clean. I felt very safe on the premises the entire time I was there. Had absolutely no problems with anything.
Dr Fall, the owner, called and checked on us and if we would have had any problems at all, I am confident that he would have taken care of them.
Whenever we would mention to anyone on the premises that we were staying in 1252, they would just smile and say, wow, lucky you. We really did feel lucky.
Would we stay there again? Absolutely and we will. Next time we bring our grand daughter. There is so much do.
Only regret is that we had to go home.

My family and I have been frequenting Maui, specifically the Kaanapali Beach area the last 4-5 years. This past year we travelled with my mother-in-law and so were looking for a 2-bedroom unit in The Whaler property. I came across the Fall's top-floor, ocean front unit and knew it would give us an unparalleled Maui experience. It did not disappoint.
From the very beginning, Dr. Fall was very responsive, answering all my questions about the unit in detail. He was up front about the fact that maintenance workers would need access to the terrace for an hour on a given day to remove some old planters. Also, early in our stay he called to ask if we had any questions about the unit and offered to provide any other information about the area. As we approached the end of our stay, I realized we would need a late checkout in the afternoon and he took care of notifying the housekeeping staff to that effect.
The bedrooms, furniture (both inside and out) were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed during our stay. The only somewhat dated elements of the unit were the bathrooms but I'm purely talking about design here. They were exceptionally clean and functional. The views from the unit are breathtaking. When you're inside the main living area all you see is beautiful ocean, Lanai, and Molokai. The unit is on the north side of the south Whaler building so you also look down the beach to Black Rock and the courtyard and pool below. Additionally, the unit doesn't get blasted by a full afternoon of sun.
We had such a wonderful stay that I'm going to have to have a good reason not to stay in unit #1252 next time. -

The condo was very comfortable for our family of 4 adults and two young children (3 and 5 years). The views of the ocean and coast line were just spectacular from the 12th floor. The kitchen was well equipped and worked well for us. The living room and dining room were spacious and took advantage of the great views. We all thought the beds were very comfortable too. The pool and beach were really good. We would all like to return to the Whaler and unit 1252 again!

You will now believe the view from your wrap around balcony until you see it for yourself. Step out of any of the 4 sliding glass doors for whale watching and the most beautiful sunsets on the Island. We also loved the convenience of restaurants, shops, and great golf courses. Caught some great waves while body surfing and had lots of laughs. Hopefully this condo will be available to us on our next trip to Hawaii.

We made a last minute trip to Maui and had no idea of where to stay. When Dr. Fall told me it was the best view on Maui and was as close to the beach without falling in, I was very skeptical of his claims. When we opened the door and saw the ocean from both sides we knew we were in paradise. The hardest choice is whether to have a view down the beach to Black Rock (from the side) or across to the neighboring islands from the front. The furnishings were first class and the services were 4 star. Heaven is going to be a great place if it is anything like here.

This was our first trip to Hawaii. We booked last minute and needed accommodations for our family of five including three college age children. Dr. Fall was very helpful, confirming arrangements was painless and he provided insight to local restaurants and activities. He returned our security deposit promptly. The condo exceeded all of our expectations! Very roomy and clean with fantastic views from every room. Every accommodation we could have asked for. Fantastic sunsets every evening from the lanai and the beach, surf, and snorkeling right outside the condo were excellent! The concierge service was great, arranging activities. This was a fantastic experience, great value, and will be our only choice for our next visit. I have already highly recommended this condo to friends and family.

We had an incredible time the week we stayed in this condo. This was our second trip to this condo and we can't imagine staying anywhere else. Having the kitchen and laundry facilities make our stay even better. The entire unit is very comfortable. The view is amazing, from sunup to sundown.

This condo was everything described and more. It is beautifully decorated and offers the best views at the Whaler! The wrap around lanai had amazing views!!! Dr. Fall was wonderful to work with and called during our stay to see how things were going. This unit is extremely convenient to restaurants and shops in Whalers Village and the beach walk. We rented 3 condos in the Whaler for our extended family vacation for 11 people. We had age ranges of 21-75 and everyone loved the convenience of being so close to everything. I would highly recommend this unit...you will not be disappointed!

Our family of 5 including 3 young adult children felt like we were in heaven as we walked into this top floor unit. The views were amazing of the ocean, beaches, islands, mountains and rainbows. We took part in several activities but often wanted to just relax on property or in the living area to take advantage of the wonderful atmosphere. Being so close to shops and restaurants made it very convenient and easy to get back quickly to this wonderful condo. The rental process through the owner was a very easy experience. They even called while we were there to make sure all was going well. Don't really have any complaints. Would be nice if beach chair rentals were included.

This is a great condo,in a great location. Unbelievable views, great wrap around deck. Excellent location, right on beach and walking distance to a number of restaurants.
We stayed there with 2 teenagers and the property worked out very well. I would highly recommend it.
