This spacious 1 bedroom rental in Honokowai is best described as select. With it's ocean front location, and ground floor lanai porch that includes patio furniture and leads directly into tropical foliage, there is little left to desire. The bedroom consists of a king sized bed and there is also a queen sized sofa sleeper in the living room. The bathroom has a tub-shower combination with grab bars for ease and accessibility. My husband doesn't want me to write a review because we feel like we found a gem we don't want to share, lest it get too booked up! Our little family, including a 10 month old baby, booked our condo through Chasen'Rainbows and we were absolutely satisfied. Access was with a lockbox key which made arrival seamless and easy. The condo was very clean and neat. We had also set up a baby rental service to drop off a crib and highchair. They had gained access to the condo prior to our arrival and had everything ready, making things much easier. The condo is on the first floor with a walkout to the pool and beach, which was wonderful. We could watch the whales from the living room. The condo is set back a bit, so despite being directly on a well used path there was a sense of privacy. The appliances were new and the kitchen was stocked with whatever utensils you could possible need. We used the washer and dryer almost every day (happens with babies!) and they worked very well. As other reviews have mentioned, noise from the road is quite loud, and could be an issue if you are a light sleeper. We felt that almost all the condos along the road would have that issue and access to the private beach negated the traffic noise. We put baby in the bedroom and slept on the pull out couch, which was fine. She slept great and we fell asleep to the sound of the ocean every night. The location is prime. Nice beach and walking distance to Farmer's Market. The condos are quiet and a little off the beaten path so it feels more homey and relaxed. You need to bring your own beach towels, laundry soap, and all condiments which is a little annoying as all these things take up extra room in the luggage or is expensive/wasteful to buy in Maui for a one week stay. We would have also appreciated access to some cleaning supplies as things get a bit messier with baby and it would've been nice to have a vaccum cleaner since she sits on the floor a lot. That being said, the place was great!

Nice to walk to the ocean from the living room. But the main entrance from the parking into the condo needs to be replaced. The lock was very difficult to open!!! And no key was supplied to open the compound doors. I also could have done without all the notes taped to various items. On the plus side nice kitchen and the condo was clean.

Mahalo for the time you took to write this review. This particular condo was the model home while the project was being sold and the entrance to the condo is thru a sliding glass door to the bedroom. We price this condo lower than the rest of the condos at this same resort for this reason. I checked the reservation and maintenance notes and I did not find any records that you phoned our office during your stay to report that you had an issue with the door locks. Also as an FYI the keys provided for entrance to the condo work on the resort gates as well. Our office is in Lahaina and we are open 7 days per week to assist our guests with any issues during your stay and we also provided you with an hour hours emergency contact as well. We hope you give us another chance in any one of the 250+ West Maui condos we manage. Mahalo.

the unit is very nice, lovely upgrades with the tile and granite. very comfortable and easy access to the pool and beach. the residents are so friendly, we made some amazing contacts. the only thing we can complain about is the noise from the parking lot in the bedroom - most noise was in the early morning with people heading out and not keeping their voices down, but all in all i would definitely stay in this unit again! We loved it!

Unit B101 was a great condo. Well appointed and convienent to the beach. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Loved the comfortable reclining chairs in the living area. Chasen Rainbows was great to deal with and made everything easy to check in and enjoy the sun as soon as we got there. Paradise in every way.

For the price, this was a great value. Only warning is that you must sleep with earplugs because the bedroom, on the ground floor, backs onto a busy street and the traffic noise comes right through the window. The window doesn't really close, has levers, so all noise comes through. To get any breeze you get the noise. Loved the location, view of ocean from livingroom, super kitchen, and bathroom. Best for just 2 people.

We were told that this place does not like to have children. I can understand why they wouldn't want loud rowdy kids around. But out kids were so enthralled by the ocean and whales and sea turtles right outside our property that they weren't any trouble to anybody. we really enjoyed the hot-tub and pool. The Private beach is small but very pretty and functional. The caretaker of the property told us to keep an eye on the kids when we got there, but he was very helpful and friendly through out the visit, because our kids were very well behaved. We will definitely stay here, if we come back to Maui again. Thanks to Hale Mahina and Chase'n Rainbows for a great experience.

What an awesome view and amazing sunsets. Quiet. Beautiful. Turtles on the beach. Snorkling to the rocks. Friends have stayed here several times and referred me. I'm so glad they did!

The unit was fabulous and I would stay there again. The bedroom is a bit noisy as it is close to the road. We saw lots of sea turtles on our beach and a lot of whale activity.

The estate is lovely with it's own sandy beach. It's not far from shops, restaurants etc. services, but still far enough from tourist masses. The jacuzzi and pool are a great bonus.
The condo itself is clean and in really good condition and you can find all the needed machines and things from there. The only downside is that the bedroom is on the road side, and the traffic noises are quite loud. We never got used to it, so we had to sleep in the living room. The couch-bed-thingy was ok, but not as good as a decent bed. However, Chase 'n Rainbows gave us a discount for that reason. Also, it's lovely to hear the noise of waves crashing as you fall asleep =)
I'd definitely recommend.
