Booking through Chasin Rainbows was awesome. I receieved excellent customer service and personal assistance to help me find a late booking for our vacation. Kaanapali Shores was well stocked (we didn't have to buy anything but food) and it was great to have a full kitchen and laundry. The place was typically dated Hawaian furnishings but comfortable and spotless. Pools were small but grounds were lovely and the ocean was right there to watch whales and the sunset and although it was full, the other vacationers were nice folks and it didn't feel crowded. Right across the street was a grocery store which one of us could walk to, and we used a lot and I liked the path that you could get to to walk along the beach. biggest drawback is the beach--right in front of the complex is a beach that is too small and rocky to use but literally right around the headland is the best beach in the world (Kaanapali). With small kids and all the beach gear you couldn't really even walt to the beach but had to get in the car.

This is our 3rd stay at Kaanapali Shores, our 2nd stay in #825. Both units we stayed in have been very clean and nicely furnished. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. We like the location of Kaanapali Shores - close to Lahaina and convenient for other activities as well. Parking is easy and abundant, but for what one must pay to stay at Kaanapali, (not to mention what it costs to get to Hawaii in the first place) there should not be an extra daily fee for parking. I realize this parking fee is minor compared to travel and accommodation expenses, but it is simply one more jab with the proverbial needle.

Very clean and comfortable, even though decor was a bit outdated. Liked the note from the homeowners-very nice and welcoming! The list of dining options helped. Only improvement would have been if the bedroom windows would have opened, the aC would not have been needed at night.
