The Mahanna Resort offers a truely ocean front experience, the property is well maintained and private. 804 offer an upgraded, comfortable, home like experience, with all the amenities(except a kettle). Is on the top of our list for west Maui. Few Vrbo's deliver everything they offer, this is no over sell.

Once again, the view when we first opened the door to the condo took our breath away. We stayed in their first floor condo last May and decided to come back over the holidays. Carrie and Russ suggested the 8th floor for the view...thanks so much...we thoroughly enjoyed it. Just sitting looking out was so peaceful and relaxing...and the best view on the beach. We are already planning our next trip back and don't want to rent from anyone else. They are wonderful to work with and you can trust that what you see in the photos is accurate. Here's to walks on the beach, rainbows every day and beautiful sunsets! Thanks for sharing your wonderful condo with us!

We loved this condo. The kitchen was stocked nicely with cooking dishes which made it easy for us to cook. There were coolers galore and some ice packs which was so nice to take to the beach. The bed was so comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The location was superb. We were close to the pool and the beach access was right there. The condo also offered binoculars which the kids loved to use looking for turtles from our windows. We came to Maui with another family who stayed on the 11th floor, same condo owner. They had many umbrellas, we had none. It would be nice to spread the umbrellas around. Also we had to "order" an extra blanket. We just wanted a small blanket for the evenings on the deck. We did receive one, however it was so ruff, like a brillo pad! Without a doubt, this was a great place to stay. The beach right in front of the condos was perfect. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Hello
We had great time.. beautiful view and very clean. Our only recommendation would be to check the telescope ..as it did not seem to be working.. and I was drawn to this in the process of looking for a place in Hawaii as a plus for this rental. Also.. the bedding was really not that great. The sheets/ comforter / pillow cases could have been a lot nicer. I usually do not leave comments.. but these small touches. make a big difference. The toaster was also not working when we got there.. no one I guess had checked.. so we went out and bought a new one. .and left there. We also left a brand new printer there.. and you can keep in the condo. Helps to print out boarding passes..etc for travelers.
Thanks!
Ps -- nice soap would have been a big bonus..

We had a wonderful time at the Mahana Resort! The condo was exactly as described and we had plenty of room for our family of four which includes two teenagers! We stopped to buy groceries on the way in and picked up a cooler but there was no need because there are plenty to use at the condo. Renting the towels from Chase 'N Rainbows was also extremely helpful and they were in the condo when we arrived. The condo had everything we needed and we especially enjoyed the Pay it Forward bar! We loved everything about the condo especially how quiet and less crowded it was than the hotel resorts. Views were spectacular!! Would absolutely stay there again!

This was a fantastic condo. Amazing view from Lanai. Loved being on 8th floor right above the palm trees. Great shower. Nice pool. Easy access to boardwalk (check for gate code to get through by Duke's). In great area and not congested at all. Kitchen is well stocked with basics, employing a "pay it forward" philosophy. Did a lot of walking and didn't see any other place I wish we'd have stayed. (Average for service isn't a bad thing. It's pretty "self-serve" which was absolutely fine for us.)

From the moment we opened the door to unit #804, we knew we had chosen the right place. The interior of this unit is spectacular. The view is amazing and each night you see the sun set right in front of you. We would definitely stay in this unit again and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, updated suite in a great location.

As soon as we arrived at the Mahana Condos, we were pleased with the easy and convenient check in procedure. When we took the elevator to the 8th floor and walked out we were very happy to see how close our room was. Then, when we entered #804, we immediately knew we chose the right place. Unbeleivable view! Great kitchen! Nice lanai'! Comfortable furniture, and a really comfortable bed! It was a great location being right on the beach. There was also a boardwalk running along the beach that we could walk to nearby resturants. We had a grocery store right across the street, and some great little cafes that we enjoyed. The Concierege at The Mahana served us free continental breakfast our first morning and was very helpful in leading us to some fun activities. What I liked best was the complete comfort and relaxation this place afforded us. We felt at home from start to finish. What I liked least was having to leave so soon. On our last day we sat on the lanai' watching the turtles swim near the shore. The water was so clear we could see them very well. Nothing bad to say; It was superb!

Left on 09/01/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Everything was as excellent as you could ask for. The most gorgeous view of the ocean, waves crashing right below you, a spacious condo with hardwood floors, across the street from a supermarket, never heard the neighbors, washer/dryer in unit, large shower, comfy bed, a lanai to sit on, a pool and spa to relax in, good snorkeling within walking distance, and on and on and on. We stayed here for 6 nights of our honeymoon, and don't regret it one bit. We can't wait to go back! (The only small thing that bothered us were the eastern religious statues, since we aren't buddhists.) If there is one condo on Maui to stay in, this is it!

Denver, COAmazing Place - Amazing Views
Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011
I booked this unit at the very last minute. I was weary that the views could be as good as the pictures show. To be honest, they're better. Check in was a breeze. The kitchen has everything you may need. The pay it forward bar is a fantastic idea and I paid it forward! The grills by the pool are in great shape, I think the one I used may have been brand new it was so clean. This unit looks west, so be prepared to enjoy dinner on your lanai while the sun sets right in front of you between Molokai and Lanai. The place was clean, quiet, beautiful... The supermarket Times that is walking distance, does have everything you may need. I can't say enough good things. Don't forget to bring shampoo, etc. as there isn't any provided and no daily made service. I will be back to this place. If you are hesitant, don't be! Book it! I can't imagine this place during whale season. We saw dolphin a couple of times off the lanai and I am sure there would be whales all over. The beach is better a little farther south. It's a little rocky right by the Mahana, but head south a bit and it is just fine. Make sure to try Duke's Beach House for lunch. Great place within walking distance - just down the beach to the left. If you want a little bar sometimes with live music - head next door the the Beach Club and have dinner at their bar. They have a great pool and often have some great live music. Ok - I have said enough!

804 was wonderful and well appointed and the view was amazing. Saw huge sea turtles and sting rays right off our lanni. The staff at Chase N Rainbows was great. We had an a/C problem. called and within minutes maintenance was at our door to fix it. My one and only complaint is that the fake flowers and plants in the unit are very, very dirty and need cleaned.

This was our 1st trip to Hawaii, and we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. We decided to stay all 8 nights on Maui instead of island hopping, and were so glad we did. Our condo was beautiful, with the most fantastic views from the lanai, as well as the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui! Some of the things we did that I would recommend are: Road to Hana, Sunrise at Haleakala, ziplining, breakfast at the Gazebo (Napili area), dining/shopping in Lahaina, lunch at The Fish Market in Paia. Aloha!

Cochrane, ABOverall a wonderful stay
Left on 05/03/2011 for a stay in April 2011
The location of the Mahana is exceptional, with incredible ocean views from every unit. This is our third stay at the Mahana, and each time we have stayed in a different unit. We found 804 to be clean and comfortable, and our included mid-stay maid service was a nice touch. We liked the unit's welcoming Hawaiian decor and proximity to the elevators. The only complaint we have is that we were "rationed" with a tiny bit of dishwasher soap, a few coffee filters and no laundry detergent. To me, these items should be complimentary to guests if you are advertising a unit with dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. It's impossible to buy these supplies in small quantities and I don't think it's up to guests to provide for future guests. The previous 2 units we stayed in were stocked with this type of item so we were disappointed that it was noticeably lacking in 804.

This was our second time at the Mahana and the first time in 804. This condo was many times better than the other.
Very comfortable, convienent, and clean. One thing we did notice was that all the artificial seemed to attract much dust. We would rent this condo again. -

804 at the Mahana was clean and modern and had all the amenities of home. The owners left us with treats to get us started (rum, vodka, soft drinks). We had beach chairs, soft cooler, bamboo mats, great beach towels for our outings. The location was awesome! It is close to great snorkeling, delicious and cheap eats, a fabulous beachwalk that goes all the way to Whaler's Village and beyond. It was great to have Duke's Beach Club right next door for great breakfasts and entertainment (Henry Kapono on Friday afternoons). We would recommend this condo. to anybody.

Left on 04/15/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We rented this condo as a first time user of a VRBO property. Overall the experience was pleasant and easy. All transactions were by e-mail and responses were prompt and complete. The condo was very nice, with excellent furnishings, appliances, and household necessities. Check in was painless, parking was plentiful, and the condo was private and quiet. The view was absolutely incredible from both the interior floor to ceiling windows and the private lanai. We spent hours enjoying the view and watching the breeching humpback whales. The only thing keeping the rating from achieving a five star was the marginal comfort and firmness of the bed.

The Mahana 804 is a beautifully decorated Condo. We had an enjoyable stay from March 26, 2010 to April 6, 2010. The premises are very well kept. The check in process was exceptional. The Mahana has a coffee cart which has expanded to serve some lunch items which is very nice for when you are relaxing at the pool area. You will not find a better ocean front view than the Mahana. I have been coming to Maui since the early 80's and the Mahana is by far the best property I have stayed in. Pool is nice and clean. Hot tub was added few years back and is very nice as well. Will definitely be back in 2011.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mahana. The condo was just beautiful and so very comfortable - it felt like a home away from home! Being on the 8th floor was great since we had the palm trees in our view but they did not get in our way of whale watching, which we saw alot of, and also saw surfers and snorkelers from our window. We loved the Kaanapali & Lahaina area and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay where relaxation is part of what they want! The condo exceeded our expectations - Thanks!

Left on 02/15/2010 for a stay in January 2010
The clear instructions made check in very easy (once we found the Mahana, which wasn't as easy). Views were fantastic on the eighth floor, because the unit was above the tallest palms, which went all the way to the seventh floor (otherwise the view would have been a disappointment). Mirrors are usually tacky, but the wall-to-wall mirrors really added to the unit. Picture doesn't do justice to the unit, which has been updated. Location was great because it was outside of the Lahaina "main drag" and felt less crowded.
